Yummy food. I'm sure the coconut milk is an artery clogger.... We get takeout somewhat regularly. I had trouble finding the menu on line, but here it is: thai-diner.com . MM

This is authentic Thai food that is really delicious. As someone who has eaten Thai in large cities all over the U.S., Europe and India, I can say that this is the best there is locally. It's a small place that's easy to miss as you drive down College, and their hours seem a bit odd (sometimes open, sometimes not; sometimes answer phone, sometimes don't). Before moving to Fayetteville, our realtor took us to the Thai Diner saying it's his secret best place for Thai in the area. Although it's really not very secret, we do agree.

I want to like this place more, I really do. Sushi isn't too fresh, pretty mushy. Their thai selection is not too remarkable either. A decent value at lunch (pad prik is really good) but other than that I don't see why you would go here instead of Taste of Thai. Taste of Thai provides much better atmosphere and much better food, overall.

The prices here are probably the best in town, with huge servings compared to A Taste of Thai. I almost always get Pad Thai when I go here, so I can't comment on the other dishes, except to say that my friends like their sushi a lot. For dessert, you can't go wrong with their flavored ice creams, either. The atmosphere is casual, perfect for lunch and acceptable for a middle-of-the-week college date, and the service is great (Although they used to have too small of a waitstaff, there have been no problems with this in a long time).

They have a couple of good dishes and fair sushi. I would never go there just for Thai (Taste of Thai kicks their butt) but if some want Sushi and some folksThai food and okay choice.

The people and the service are wonderful, but the food? Just okay. If you want better Thai go to Taste of Thai and lots of better choices for sushi.

Green curry is fabulous! Consistently good every time I order it!!! Yum! Great lunch and fast drive thru!

Didn't want to drive to Taste of Thai but wish I had. I got wonton soup, pad see u with chicken, spicy papaya salad without the beef. The wonton soup is a salt bomb, avoid it. Pad see u was the sweetest I've ever had, but okay with spicy garlic sauce on the side. The papaya salad could use more acid, would've been great with a wedge of lime!

I've been here a few different times over the past decade, including dine-in and carry-out, and it just isn't very good. To be fair, a lot of people seem to like their sushi and I don't eat sushi, so they may do a fantastic job with that and I just don't know. Of their other Thai dishes though, they seem to range from bad to mediocre. I've tried two different noodle dishes and about six other dishes and nothing was very good. Also, the atmosphere just isn't great. Fayetteville has a lot of Thai restaurants and after trying almost all of them, Thai Diner is at the bottom of my list.

We ordered carry out and they were very sweet and accommodating taking 4 different orders over the phone. They had our food ready in the exact amount of time they had told us and the portions were generous. I ordered the veggie delight with shrimp and it was light yet flavorful and had a lot of shrimp. They also serve sushi and I'm curious how it is! The only downside is it was a bit pricey.

We have been going to Thai Diner for a few years now and would have rated them 4 stars: good and yummy Thai food. However, the past 3-4 visits have included unfriendliness towards customers, short staffed which added more to the unfriendliness, and waitresses getting offended when some barely didn't eat the food. Our last visit definitely made a turn for the worst when my wife went to the restroom and noticed one of the cooks, come out from the bathroom stall, and proceeded to not wash her hands. Sure, the cook may have washed her hands when she went back into the kitchen but I am quite sure she is supposed to wash her hands before leaving the restroom. In the same visit, the food that was also served to us was food left overs from yesterday: tasting like it had been reheated and not cooked when ordered and some of the food (particularly the cabbage that is smothered in the sauce) was spoiled.

I struggled with my rating because this place is not appealing aesthetically at ALL and the restrooms had a horrible wet moldy smell. But the food was phenomenal, friendly quick service, and low prices. My husband had fish, and I enjoyed a Thai curry with chicken. Large portions especially for the price but everything had that wonderful blend of spice & flavor we seek from Thai restaurants. Conveniently located near U of A campus and it was busy, but not crowded, on an autumn Saturday. Will return for sure.

Prices are good and waitstaff was attentive and friendly, but the Sweet & Sour Chicken and Spicy Thai Spaghetti were very...blah. Noodles were slightly overcooked and lacked flavor. Basil Rolls (i.e. shrimp summer rolls) w/peanut dipping sauce were decent but the rice paper wrapper was chewier than it should have been. Atmosphere is a little depressing. I wanted to like this place because a friend mentioned the food was good, but I don't think we'll be back.

I did take out, so the 4 Stars is just for food or for The spicy papaya salad, it was outstanding. I have to go back soon just to see if it's always this fabulous!! It had a nice bite to it yet so flavor-filled the spice was Perfect. It was crisp , tangy, sweet, and crunchy a very unique flavor The Pad Thai was good, yet had No spice!! and I always order spicy !! It was hardy though, plenty of peanuts (seems some restaurants all but leave them out! (Thai E-San just got replaced!-!! And the only reason I went there cuz it was closer to work than Twin Kitchen. What happen guys that was the best ! -Thai kitchen also has Sushi, they didn't seem to understand how hungry I was and had to get them to give it to me while I waited. It was fresh, & perfectly prepared. The staff was not mentionable but like I said it was mostly take out. I will return !!

Before I start, let me preface this by saying that my girlfriend and I have lived in LA Metro and have dined in many Thai restaurants ranging from superb to pathetic qualities. So when we first sat down, we were shocked by how little selection of actual Thai dishes there actually is on the menu. On that note, who the heck would go to a Thai restaurant to buy sushi or Chinese stir fry? Anyway... The secret to this place is to order OFF THE MENU. Management of this restaurant have changed all the traditional Thai-based dish names with English translation. So while that is slightly jarring at first, but quickly you will realize, for example, that "stir fried flat noodle" actually refers to pad thai. Further, if you know exactly the Thai dish you want, simply tell your waitress what you want. If it's a Thai dish that you commonly see in other restaurants, chances are they can make it for you no problem. For example, both tom yum soup and drunken kee mow are not on the menu, and yet we got them, with one caveat. That caveat is the tom yum soup. The traditional tom yum soup in many Thai restaurants has large pieces of lemongrass, served with fresh herbs such as thai basil, bean sprouts, and maybe tofu. Then under the hot pot container should be a fire lit to keep the soup hot and fresh. Unfortunately, ordering off the menu means that many of these ingredients are not typically prepared in advance. So instead we received a wonderful broth in a hot pot, along with sliced mushrooms, with no lit fire. No problem, the broth was delicious and definitely up to par with some of the above average Thai restaurants in LA. Our pad thai and drunken kee mow came soon thereafter. The portions are absolutely huge in comparison to some other local Thai restaurants. Despite the huge portion, the flavor was great too. Neither dish was too greasy, and both had just the right amount of sauce to flavor the entire dish, no more and no less. In fact, we made three meals (for the both of us) out of the two dishes we ordered. The service was fast and friendly too. So, for the best food in this restaurant, order off the menu. Thai Diner is our new favorite Thai restaurant in Fayetteville.

So here goes my first ever negative yelp review. I have to be honest... Definitely not authentic and some of the worst Thai food I have ever had. I am half Thai and unfortunately my mom moved back to Thailand so I am missing her food. I decided to finally venture to Thai diner with a Living Social deal. I can tell you it was not even worth it at half off (it's overpriced to begin with). I asked if they served noodle soup (very basic Thai staple meal) and the server pointed to their selection of soups (all of which were NON noodle soups). The very first being wonton soup...not Thai. Needless to say I didn't order any soup but instead the Cashew nut chicken - mediocre at best. My husband ordered Massamun curry. It looked very sloppy and was served with avocados on top!? So strange. Was not pleasant either. Two more things: 1)The atmosphere at McDonalds has more appeal than this place, no joke and 2)if you ever go to a Thai restaurant and there is a sushi bar, guess what? Sushi is not Thai!! I will never be going back and I highly recommend getting your fill on Thai food elsewhere...save your time and money!!

I'm pretty sure this is what they eat in heaven! Lol but seriously their food is amazing. Dishes to get: laarb, hurricane roll, and their amazing cocoanut soup! My favorite waitress is gone now so I don't know how the new ones are. My whole family loves this place. I have tried things there I didn't like but sadly I can't remember the names. Oh and the Thai iced tea is amazing! This place may not stand out to some but it is one of my favorite restaurants hands down!

FINALLY! Good Thai food in Fayetteville. My husband and I moved here from LA 7 months ago and have tried all the Thai restaurants in town. They were all mediocre and I really don't understand how Taste of Thai has the best ratings. Their food sucks and we had to throw it out because it was nasty (we do take out). Thai Diner, THANK YOU! We can finally eat Thai food again and are so excited we found you.

Pretty solid Thai food. My favorite item on the menu: Green Curry. Atmosphere isn't anything spectacular. They do have a drive-thru, though, which is nice for carry out orders. ...but sometimes they don't notice you waiting in it.

Authentic, delicious and awesome service. We dined here while staying in Fayetteville, visiting my fiancee's grandmother and aunt. It's their favorite place. Being Thai and loving all things Thai food-related, we had to check it out. It was a little cold -- we went during the mega winter storm of 2011. Snow pummeled the area and it was slick and icy. The temperature was in the teens. It was a little chilly inside, but the food was phenomenal and our overall experience was pretty good. We ordered quite a few dishes and ate them family style, per tradition. We had left overs, but I took a nasty slip in the icy parking lot and lost all of my pad Thai. It was a sad ending to my evening, but the only thing hurt was my pride (and stomach). A++

Want to know a secret? The staff is actually from Laos. Still this place has great food! There is a bit of difference between Thai and Lao food but it still is great. The green tea ice cream here is worth the visit alone, I love the coconut soup, and the Beef Thai noodles are great. The sushi is usually pretty good I haven't had any problems with it. I would like to mention, don't insult the cook. A friend of mine told the waiter that the spicy curry wasn't spicy enough and wound up with very spicy curry. Still edible but extremely spicy.

Best Thai food in Fayetteville. The food is awesome here...seriously awesome. Amazing coconut soup, best miso soup in town and their traditional Thai dishes are to die for!! OH this place is soo great. I love the atmosphere soo much. The waitresses are not super enthusiastic but the food makes up for it! Really good green tea ice cream as well!!

The best sushi! Our favorite is the Thai Diner roll. It is the most wonderful combination of flavors. I'm only giving 4 stars because I've only eaten sushi there I don't know about the other dishes.

Best Thai food in Fayetteville, hands down. I'm not sure why so many people think A Taste of Thai is better -- maybe their taste buds are defective. Thai Diner's food is delicious, the prices are reasonable, and the atmosphere is perfect for casual dining. At lunch, I love the sushi combos, pad Thai, and the chicken noodle bowl. All the curries are delicious, too.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
