Overall positive dinning experience. Great and affordable drink selection, along with good portioned meals. I got the calamari and crab cakes for appetizers. Crab cakes were good, calamari was better, although did have a more curry flavor than Cajun. I also got the gnudi, which was supposed to be like gnocchi, it had a bacon cheese sauce thing that was very filling. I'd definitely come back, seating seemed to be packed after 8pm, so reservations are best.

This is a great place to eat but expensive. Ordering "small plates" helps. Wine selection is excellent. Everything is good. On weekends, make sure you have a reservation. Valet parking is great when the weather is brutal. Fabulous homemade bread and ingredients are always fresh. Expect made to order perfection. Easily $100 for 2 if you order wine.

Love forever and ever ever. Great people. Nom nom food. And exceptional wine. Spendy by Fayetteville measurements, but totally reasonable. I heart Bordinos.

Finally I was able to try Bordino's at lunch a couple of days ago. First time I have made it for the lunch menu. I was very pleased with the meal. I had the Pork Scallopine and my guest had the Braised Short Ribs. Both were excellent. Meal also included a really good Caesar Salad for me and an excellent Tomato Soup for her. If you haven't had the opportunity to try out the lunch at Bordino's yet I recommend it. It is a bit pricey, so be prepared. It was worth every penny though.

Bordino's is a great surprise - especially in a town where I have always had trouble finding good food. Service was competent and responsive for our table of eight. Cesar was very good, mussels were good, pork loin excellent. I especially liked the dark, warm and quiet interior for a diner with a business group. This is in stark contract to almost very good restaurant in Boulder/Denver that seems to be loud, bright, loud, cold hard and loud. Take away a point for the deserts that were well presented but not really excellent. Overall the place for good food in Fayetteville.

What is there to say about Bordino's? Always a good bartender. I have to say that I know very few restaurants who made a smooth transition from small and cozy to "new digs" Bordino's made it without losing its charm. Great winelist too. Affordable with enough options but not overwhelming. Always a good meal and a good time.

My favorite restaurant in town. Great for a nice meal, just a drink, or desert with my kids after a show. Josephine and Derick are the best bartender duo around. Very helpful, funny, and smart. I should write more as much as I have been there. Go now.

I made a reservation here because it was the only place in Fayetteville on Opentable. Fortunately, I was surprised and impressed with this restaurant. The food would probably only warrant 4-stars in a major metro area but for Arkansas you probably can't do much better. Service was excellent; in fact, it was better than what I'm used to in SF, NYC, or really anywhere.

Service was OK and the Food had no taste.. it was just bland. I've had much better. Gave it two stars because I was really not that impressed with food and service.

First time trying Bordinos for brunch. Ordered the Joe's two, two, and two with bacon, eggs, and blueberry pancakes. The bacon tasted like cheap McDonalds bacon and the breakfast potatoes had no flavor. Also, my eggs were chewy and everything was greasy.

If I could give 31/2 stars I would and since I cannot I will be optimistic and give it 4. First, I don't like the décor at all. It's like a banquet hall with all the partitions and lack of natural light. The good news you aren't packed in next to one another so you can have an intimate dinner. The wait staff is very good, attentive but not hovering over you, there is no rushed feeling when there. The wine list is decent although I think it's a bit overpriced. The food is good. I had the gnoochi is it was made very well but it lacked seasoning. My wife had a special that evening that was similar to gnoochi and again it was under seasoned. There other seasonings beside salt! Is Bordino's worth going to? Absolutely. Could they improve their cookbook? Absolutely.

My wife and I just moved into the area from the Northeast. Food was 3.5 stars (I'm picky). Service 4.5. Value only 3 stars. Cheese plate appetizer with jalapeño relish was wonderful. Accompanying bread was only ok. My wife's seafood risotto was recommended by the server, and it was very good. I would definitely recommend it. My duck was tough, and the sauce was too sweet for my liking. I wouldn't recommend. Desert was solid. Drink selection was good. We ate in the bar area, which was much more enjoyable with a view toward Dickson St. and a bit of music, than the quiet and near empty main dining room (midweek visit). The best thing about the restaurant is that our server insured we had food and drink when we wanted it, and left us alone for the remainder of the evening to talk. Perfect for a date night.

The best steak in NWA... Hands down period! Very nice elegant atmosphere. Romantic enough for dinner for 2 but inviting enough for dinner with many. I would really suggest making reservations ahead of time as they are typically busy all the time. You could find an opening in the bar area for cocktails, appetizers, and dinner, but it gets really crowded. One of my all time favorite places to dine. Valet service available too...

Came here on a Saturday afternoon before a Razorback game. It was quiet inside with a few at the cool looking bar and a couple of tables seated. Ordered from the small brunch menu. The burger with the fried egg and bacon on it was fantastic. Came with some fries that were A-ok. Also had a local beer that was pretty good. Nice cool little place on the corner. I bet it is even cooler in the evening. I will for sure come back here when in town.

The mussels as an appetizer are a must. If you're going here on a weekend, I recommend making a reservation. They have an awesome starter bread basket. I love the gnocchi, as well as the duck. I have also tried their tortellini. I honestly don't think you would be unhappy ordering anything on their menu. Everything is so decadent and the chef is amazing. Dress nicely. This place is fancy. Sip on one of their many fabulous martinis or drink some vino-- they have a large list of wine choices as well. This is by far my favorite choice for the (expensive) date night, special event, or even for a fancy girls night out :)

My husband and I are new to this area, we enjoy trying new restaurants for the food and the atmosphere. Bordino's is really nice, great atmosphere, good food & service. We knew before making reservations that it was a bit pricey for a regular night out but we went anyway and was not disappointed, we will go again but will make it a special occasion place .

When I used to live in Fayetteville, my friends and I came here on select occasions. The food is a little bit pricey compared to the other places along Dickson Street. But the food is also quite a bit better quality. As the name suggests, Bordinos features a primarily Italian menu, filled with pastas. With that said, their meats are very good too. My go-to dish is the duck breast. Always succulent and flavorful, never overcooked. It is tastefully dressed in a sweet caramel sauce zested by a hint of reduced sherry. Their potato and zucchini hash is well-seasoned but not overcooked to retain texture. Another good dish on the menu is the boar sausage linguini. The boar sausage, of course, is an homage to the Razorbacks. It tastes lean, gamey, but also well-seasoned and not dry. The linguini is generally al dente (like other pasta dishes they serve). Finally, their tiramisu is rich, creamy, drenched in coffee and has just a slight hint of coffee liqueur. So if you're used to the strong liqueur profile of the tiramisu served at Maggiano's, this will probably not be your thing. I like it, though. My colleagues also liked their gnocchi and creme brulee. All in all, the food may be slightly pricey, but it's definitely good. My only gripe, though, is that the waitstaff don't apparently know much about pairing wine with food. Why would anyone recommend a semi-sweet white wine with red meat is beyond me.

  • Tom H.

I came for a special occasion. The bread and accouterments were fantastic. We had the charcuterie plate and mussels for appetizers and they were wonderful. The cocktails were modern day interpretations of classic American cocktails like the Sazerac and Old Fashioned, which were delicious. There were only good to great bottles of wine on the list. My baby kale salad and duck entree were both beautifully executed and tastes better than they looked. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great dinner or a place for a special occasion.

When you go to Bordino's you expect the experience to be excellent in every facet: food quality, wait staff, service and atmosphere. I recently hosted a group of 12 in a private room and had an experience that met my expectations in 3 of these 4 areas. After waiting a full hour for food, my grilled salmon was delivered after most in my party had almost finished eating. The waiter explained that our ticket had gotten out of order and my salmon was missed. Overall, service level by the waiter was very good. The kitchen service was a real miss. I had my salmon boxed to go. My wife said it was very good. The server was very attentive and on task, except for not ensuring that our order was prepared timely. The atmosphere is always high class, as it was at my recent visit. I will go back again simply due to past experiences that were excellent. I may have just experienced an off-night for this high quality restaurant. At least I hope so.

Went in to a Beautiful bar, resturant . Went to Patio as friend smokes... We were famished ... Took FOREVER to have service, I ordered a Mojito...was very bitter, waiter did ask after I had already drank 1/2 of the drink, to have it remade... Ordered a salad w/steak topping and seafood Risotto. Should have been maybe a 20-30 minute wait for dinner service... We waited nearly an hour, an still asked waiter how long was it going to be for our food! Wow... For looking at others comments and ratings honestly I would maybe recommend only going for the ambiance !

Fantastic place. Don't let the hammered frat dudes passing on the sidewalk fool you into thinking a college town can't have a solid italian place, Bordinos would be a hit in any city. Table service was impeccable. Ultra friendly waitress who gave us a lot of table-side info on the food and wine. We were catered to in timely fashion by her. I had a large group so we tried lots of food. Cheese platter, Linguine with wild boar, tortellini, bread, popovers, and appetizer meatballs. The cheese platter is awesome. I couldn't identify it all because I was busy stuffing food down my gullet but there was a cured ham, chutney, goat cheese, some sort of blue cheese, liver pate, some sort of dry hard cheese, etc. It was all very good, and a good starter coupled with the meatballs. The meatballs came with fresh parmesean chips and were as soft as cake. The tomato sauce on the meatballs we were all fighting to mop up with soft bread and cheese popovers. I ate the wild boar sausage and linguine. The sausage was spicy and salty, and the linguine was al dente and completely coated in a rich red tomato sauce that wasn't watery or pasty. It really was a perfect plate with an adequate portion size to fill you up but not leave you sick. The tortellini was a little too firm and had a bit too much cheese on top but the flavor was ultimately there. The only real negatives were the drinks and the timing of our food. I ordered a michelada and immediately the waitress had no clue what that was. I even had to show her on the menu that they served it. She told me no one had ever ordered it but I got it anyway foolishly. It was horrendous and frankly doesnt need to be on the menu. It's an italian place and that's a mexican drink, and I should have known it was going to be bad but again that should be off the menu. The old fashioned didn't impress either. Just seemed okay. We waited for our entrees for a long time, even after appetizers. But the food was so good and the service is so friendly you forgive that afterward. It's a legitimate four star place even in a college town.

This place borders on 4 stars. something about this place keeps me from 'lovin' it. IDK why. Lamb is usually good. Great wine selection though I don't usually drink wine.

We enjoy the First Seating Menu at Bordinos prior to attending events at the Walton Arts Center. A smaller portion meal comes complete with wine and dessert for only $25. The staff is always attentive to our preferences and time restraints. A quick and easy reservation made through YELP makes for a complete evening out on Dickson Street.

I came into town for the weekend to see some old friends that had recently relocated to Arkansas. Together we thought we would try this place due to all the attention it gets from the indigenous people. The atmosphere and staff were decent. It's also in a great location(probably why it gets the attention it does). The food however is a joke! I suppose I'm partially to blame for choosing to eat Italian food in Arkansas(go with bbq or chicken fried steak while visiting). I realized the reason this place received the praise that it does is because the people praising it have nothing better around, and are completely ignorant to what Italian food is(not really their fault). They seem to be happy, and good for them. I'm almost jealous, I wish I could eat food like this and think it was good. If you're from the central United States this might be worth by your wild, if not expect to be extremely disappointed.

This used to be our favorite when Chef Christy was still there. Not that it was perfect--the wait staff could be unbearable. Now the staff is much, much better, but the food has become kind of blah. I had the chicken and mashed potatoes last night, and the mashed potatoes had so much butter & cream, it tasted like baked goods. I actually didn't finish it & that's kind of amazing for me. My martini was cold and delicious and our waitress was perfect. No wait for a table, which is a bad sign for a Dickson St. restaurant on a Saturday night. It's even prom weekend!

Really nice place. Visited from out of town on Tuesday night in the late evening. Really friendly service. Nice atmosphere on the outside back porch when its cool. Nice wine selection. Really nice meat/cheese plate with some local varieties. Really tasty pasta dish - had the boar sausage linguini which had a very nice heat to it. Overall I'd visit again.

My wife and I came here on a Friday night for a date. We arrived around 8:00 pm and since it was beautiful outside selected to sit on the back patio. We were lead through the kitchen to get to the patio, and I looked closely at the kitchen as we went through and it was very clean and very busy. The back porch had several couples and groups, and we were seated at a table for two. Our server, who I sadly cannot remember his name, was very friendly and attentive, he did a great job. We had the meat and cheese appetizer, I cannot remember how it was labeled on the menu, that included duck pate, and goat cheese. It all was very good. My wife had a Kung Fu Girl wine, which she highly recommends. I had the boar sausage linguine, which was terrific, and my wife the tortellini, which was also terrific. We shared the lemon cheesecake for dessert, and it was lovely. We had a great night overall, with the only detractor worth mentioning being the music that was played over the speakers on the patio. Some of the songs were just bizarre, with one sounding like a remix of the video game Super Mario Brothers, complete with sounds of Mario dying over and over again, not very romantic. Over all though we loved it and will be back for sure.

Traveling globally, I get to quite a few nice restaurants. This was one of the best meals I have had. I am a big fan of duck and the duck breast was the best duck I have ever had. The portions are just right (not too small and not ridiculous). The waitress told me 70% of the people who have ordered it from her have told her it was the best duck they have had. The homemade gnocchi was outstanding and again some of the best gnocchi my wife and I have had. Caesar salad was excellent. The calamari was good, but I did not care for the cornmeal breading, so would pass on that next time I go. Tenderloin meatballs are tasty. Service was very friendly and attentive. Reservation time was honored and we had a nice table. Atmosphere was above informal, yet warm and comfortable. Had the tiramisu for desert and it was very good. Prices were reasonable based on quality of food, location and atmosphere.

Some of the best food I've eaten, but stop and get a burger on the way. I truly believe that you get what you pay for, but for the price you shouldn't leave hungry. yhe Wild Boar Sausage appetizer was great, the Portobello Lasagna was phenomenal, then went thru the T Bell drive thru on the way home. Didn't want a buffet, just wanted satisfied. Did I mention that the food was spectacular?

Worst food and extremely overpriced! You'd be better off staying home and eating Stouffer's lasagna. I can't believe this place stays in business. The fish is farmed not wild caught. The food is way overpriced for how crappy it is. I wouldn't even go there if someone gave me a gift certificate. Hugely disappointing!

    W. Dickson St. is the spot in Fayetteville. This hilly little street is as vibrant as it gets in NW Arkansas. I wish I had time to explore more of the businesses on this lively strip, but I am glad we decided to stop at Bordino's. We stopped in for Saturday brunch and this place is nice. I had to look down and make sure I was dressed well enough, check. While checking out the menu, I did a little plate spying, and the pancakes and eggs benedict looked delicious. Definitely wish I had a little more space in my stomach to give them a try. My gf and I both decided to go with burgers though, and they were great, so no complaints. A juicy medium burger with gouda cheese and fresh spinach. Simple but tasty. My gf's burger had caramelized onions, which she loved. My favorite part of the meal, though. The Beermosa! This blue moon and orange juice concoction was just what I needed to get me started for the day. It makes perfect sense. I think it is my new favorite drink. I will definitely be asking for it every time I attend a brunch in the future!

The only reason I give a 3 star and not a 4 is because we had to wait close to 40 mins inspite of having made a reservation..although there were free tables we were not being seated as they were waiting for a specific table to get free. Unacceptable customer service ! Anyways, after the long wait, the food turned out really good so we were glad we waited..we ordered the calamari for starters with dome good wine..for the main course I had the duck duet which I loved.. Hubby had the quail which was new to us and was awesome..however the icing on the cake was the dessert ! Creme brulle scored all the way !!!! It just melts in your mouth... Must must try ..,

This is one of the best places to dine in the Fayetteville area. I've been a bunch of times, and the food has been consistent, service friendly and (for the most part) expedient. The cuisine is what I'd call upscale Italian, but not quite "fine dining" - although it's about as close to fine dining as I've seen in NWA (aside from James at the Mill). Even though I've sat in the dining room, and had perfectly fine experiences, I do find it to be a little close and stuffy for my taste. I prefer sitting in the lively bar area, which has plenty of seating. You have access to the same dinner menu, don't need reservations and there are TVs and so forth. Great place to have a few drinks, and sample the menu. But be sure to get there by 6:00 or so, because you're not going to be the only one with that idea, and by 7 you may have missed your window. I recommend coming in for the $5 at 5 happy hour for some pretty good deals on small plates (appetizers). The special goes until 6:30, and the appetizers are really good. My personal favorite is the meatball appetizer, although I wish it was bigger. I could eat about 100 of them. I've had a few rare misses here, but for the most part everything's really good, and this is a preferred spot to hit before a night on the town.

My in-town-from-NYC friends and I had a very nice meal at Bordino's. The arugula salad was actually amazing, with grana padano, almonds, and surryano ham, which I had never tried before. A quick google search tells me that it's Serrano Ham-inspired, but from the good ol' USA, Virginia. Very tasty. I had a Lasagna with a spicy beef ragu. It was very tasty, the pasta was nice too, though I didn't really taste much beef, at least not in the texture. A friend also ordered this dish and noticed the same thing. The wine selection was much better than average, with some interesting wines by the glass (i.e. Duckhorn Merlot by the glass, cool...) and the service was competent and very friendly. If I'm ever again in Fayetteville, I'll stop here again for sure.

Bordino's is a nice restaurant. Nice menu items & good service... Especially given this is NWA. I'm giving it 3 stars because there's not a major wow to me. Food is good. Drinks good. But I don't consider any of it great. Maybe this is great for Fayetteville, but for me its just decently good.

I was in AR for business and wanted to stop in town and check out some of the food. I had the Mussels for an appetizer and the linguini with wild boar meat for an entree. Both of these dishes were out of this world. I strongly recommend ordering both of these.

First time having brunch there today and the food was great the service however was a different story. It took our server a whole 10 minutes to come greet us and another 10 to take our order. Didn't catch a name but she was an older lady. First off, she didn't get my order right. I asked for the Eggs Benedict plus a side of fruit. She misunderstood me and thought I wanted to exchange the sides that it came with for fruit. I didn't bother to tell her about the mishap because I was so hungry and didn't want to wait any longer for my food. From the time we got there and left was a total of two hours. Yes, they were busy but not crazy pack by any means. Would I come back? Yes, but I'll grab a granola bar before I do so I won't sit so long with an empty stomach.

Wow! What a let down. I dined off of the small plates menu and i tried the calamari, some kind of meatball, and a ceasar salad. ALL of it was not worth $2.00 and will not be going back. I had heard that this place was nice and had really good food...not true. They have good cocktails though! Might go back for just a martini...?? But probably not.

One of my favorites. If youre looking for a carefully crafted dish this is your place. Their specials are interesting and their cocktails refreshing. This is where we usually celebrate special occasions. Highly recommend for date night or going out with a group.

Went for Sunday Brunch with two friends. At the desk I gave the hostess my name and reservation time. What her response is we shall never know as I could not hear or understand what she said but I believe "wait just a moment" may have been uttered. She then took some menus and went to a table. She came back, helped some women who walked in and then guided us to the table where she had taken the menus. Odd After perusing the menu for a minute our waitress took our drink order. The cocktails were very tasty. As we were waiting for our meal, a family sat next to us, ordered beverages and looked over the menu. Our waitress never turned around to ask us if we needed anything before she left. After our food arrived, Waitress then came back to take the order of our neighboring table but due to food allergies they had to go elsewhere. Waitress never turned around to see if we needed anything so I had to flag her down to get a beverage refill. We were half-way through our brunch and Waitress asked my friends if they need drink refills but I had to ask for mine once again. Rude. Now about the food. I got the Eggs Benedict with spinach, my friends got the Ham and Eggs and the Chicken Sandwich. The food was excellent, eggs cooked perfectly, potatoes just the right amount of salt and not dried out. Waitress brought us our checks and was very attentive at this point, I guess money is her motivation. Will I go again? Yes. Will I let Waitress wait at my table? A definite no.

If I ate there it may be higher (or who knows even lower). I've been in this restaurant two times - the first time I had no reservation and they were busy. The second time I had my wife and two kids (ages 7 and 12) and we were looking for a good meal. The attitude on both occasion's was "snooty" and ironically we've been in FAR nicer more acclaimed restaurants in NYC, Philadelphia, San Francisco etc without the "tude". Either way - they don't seem to want families as there is no kids menu. In fact, the waiter acted surprised when we inquired about kid options and simply said "we can do spaghetti and meatballs". it was 5:30 and the place was not even 20% filled. I guess I expect more attentiveness and courtesy from a restaurant (hostess and server). We have been around the US, Europe and even some of Asia and this place isn't that special relatively speaking. So I am not sure where the "condescending" attitude comes from - the food must be outstanding. Not sure if I will ever make it back to actually rate them completely (food etc). For now, they are 0 and 2 in my book!

If I could, I'd give this place 3 1/2 stars. But that's only because it's not as good as The place around the corner, Theos, which I've rated four stars. And it's also because The food and drinks here have not been as good as at Theos. But I'd still go back.

We recently had a weekday lunch at Bordinos and were very disappointed in both the food and the wine as well as the atmosphere. We ordered 2 different red wines by the glass and neither was good. The problem was not the maker/type of wine but how the open bottles had been kept--too warm and too much air getting to the wine left in the bottle. If you serve wine by the glass, please take better care of the wine in the bottle after it has been opened. Actually, I initially sampled a 3rd red that I rejected because it was so "off." My husband thought the Ricotta Chèvre Gnocchi dish was very good. The lemon cheesecake was also good, but very very mild in lemon flavor. However, we both questioned the use of very dried sun-dried tomatoes chopped up in the salad and also in the Beef Tenderloin Rigatoni dish (the most popular pasta dish according to the waitress). They did not seem to be good quality sun-dried tomatoes, were very dry (not packed in oil) and rather tasteless, and in the case of the rigatoni dish, had not been cooked in the sauce just tossed in at the end, or so it appeared. The rigatoni seems like a weak dish: the beef tenderloin pieces were tender but virtually tasteless, and the sauce very mild and rather sweet, plus not much of it with so much rigatoni. Why sweet with beef? The few green beans tossed in were pointless. They were terrific haricots vert, but why cover them with a sweetish sauce? I would have preferred more haricots vert served separately on the plate rather than being mixed onto the pasta sauce. The concept of sun-dried tomatoes in a salad escapes me. Lastly, the music at noon in the bar, the only place where lunch is served, was terrible. The waitress changed the sound track at our request, but it was still too loud and not good music. I would not return to Bordinos for lunch, but am willing to give it another try for dinner as we have liked dinner in the past.

Bordinos makes me sad...my favorite place in Fayetteville, where I lived for 2.5 years. :( This was my go-to special occasion place or just a good meal. I loved their Risotto. Good calamari (for AR) as well! They also have a special early seating menu, pre-fixed which is a great deal...especially since some people from there don't like to spend money on good food....if that's you, kindly walk yourself down to grubs. It can be packed so make reservations. Also a great location for happy hour or drinks and dessert (their Tiramisu is great). Don't even try to eat here during the game weekends, it will be packed! I miss you Bordinos. :(

Needs more vegetarian options. Usually there's only one or two, including some kind of pasta dish. I usually just have soup and salad when I come here. Their tomato soup is fabulous though. They also have some pretty good desserts, such as the ginger cake we had on our last visit. Overall, limited options and overpriced.

Excellent service, Italian food is full of flavor, fine wine and great ambience. I was pleasantly surprised with my experience dining at this restaurant.

This is definitely my favorite restaurant in Fayetteville thus far! We went on a Thursday night and the restaurant was busy , but not uncomfortably full or loud. We each ordered wine/beer, and the server was a great help in describing them for us. We ordered the meatballs for an appetizer, which were tender and delicious. Two of us ordered the risotto, which I would highly recommend!!! The risotto was in a wine/cream based sauce, and had asparagus, pine nuts, and apples with goat cheese in the middle. It was also striped with balsamic vinegar, which made for an excellent visual presentation. I tried my very best to eat it all because it was so good, but I couldn't get the last few bites down. My other friend ordered the spinach fettuccini, which had chicken, sundried tomatoes, and mushrooms in a white wine/cream sauce. She was a bit reluctant to order the meal as she didn't want her pasta dripping in thick, oily sauce, but the waitress assured her it was just tossed in the sauce, which was a bit lighter than alfredo, and she was completely right! For dessert, my friend ordered the creme brule, which I didn't taste but she seemed to like it. We were pleasantly surprised when we got our bill as it was lower than we would have expected, possibly because we all ordered pasta dishes, but coming from Chicago, we thought it was very reasonably priced. I would love to come back here next week when we're in town again!

Really enjoyed my meal here. Service was great, wine list strong, good cocktails and menu had some creativity mixed into the tried and true. Mushroom soup was great, Wild Boar Ssusage with spicy red sauce linguini was delicious. I expected it to be a little dry but incredibly juicy. Risotto was spot on. Enjoyed a little Hazelnut Gelato to boot.

This is one of the nicest restaraunts in town. From the food to the atmosphere, to the wait staff and drinks it's a great place to have a high quality meal. Their star entree has to be the wild boar sausage fettuccine and don't pass on the Creme Brulee for dessert.

Great food. I've been going to Bordinos for 6 years and last night was the best meal I've had there. The mushroom gnocchi was best I've had anywhere. PEI mussels same thing - no kidding. Mandarin orange spinich salad left nothing to be desired.

Enjoyed a great dinner there last night. Coming from Napa Valley, America's food Mecca, my standards are high and Bordino's met them. The food, service and atmosphere were all exceptional. Highly recommend the pork chop.

Q: Why all of the gushing four and five star reviews from people who have never lived in Fayetteville? A: They fancy Fayetteville a silly little backwoods town incapable of having any sort of culinary heft. They also think they might like the architecture. These people are incorrect. Bordino's is fine. However, it's not great. I've had decent service; I've had service that was lacking. My meals at Bordino's have ranged from good to terrible. There are definitely better places to eat in Fayetteville, though maybe they don't provide the same chic factor. Please don't kid yourself--in a larger city this would never be a five star restaurant. Visiting big city folks can flock to Bordino's for its horrible Frank Gehry emulating entrance and eat an overpriced (for Fayetteville) meal. At least it serves a purpose. If you're looking for the certain ambiance that the interior space provides, then by all means....

This is our favorite restaurant in town, and while it's not cheap, serves the best food and drinks in a high quality atmosphere. I usually prefer to eat at the high tops at the bar and try one of the famous unique cocktails.

This would probably be 3 star food... but the fact that people think this is the best spot in town maybe made my expectations higher. My pasta was bland and overcooked, sauces too rich and meat dried out. The wine list was just ok and service average. And the tiramasu didn't have hardly any coffee flavor to it which was just strange. For a spot that caters to the well-to-do it should strive to be far superior to average and superior to anything it was not.

Overpriced, Underwhelming After meeting friends for happy hour there again last night, I was reminded of why I'm not a fan of Bordinos. The drinks are good, the atmosphere is nice but the prices are way too high for what it is and the service is barely adequate. I ordered the calamari for $8.50. It arrived on a small plate and consisted of a small handful of calamari and two bowl of dipping sauces. The flavor and texture where good but it almost seemed like the waitstaff had eaten 2/3rds of my order before it arrived since there was so little of it on the plate. The last time I was there I ordered the risotto, which consisted of about less than 1 cup of risotto barely covering the bottom of the bowl. Again, the flavors were good but not outstanding. It was around $20. I know that being in Arkansas that it's not easy to get fresh seafood or the finest ingredients all the time, but still these prices are unwarranted. I'm not looking for a huge plate of food but honestly the portions are so small that by the time one cobbles together enough for a meal then you have spent $50, not including drinks or dessert. The menu is not particularly imaginative, innovative, or extraordinary in any way. It's meat-focused, vegetables are treated as after thoughts, and reminds me of 80's country club fare. They have gluten-free options, but very little vegetarian cuisine beyond rabbit food such as salads. There is plenty of good food grown in Arkansas, especially amazing vegetables. Bordinos should look beyond the meat and give local vegetables a stronger roll in their cuisine and up their portion sizes by 50%. In the meantime, I recommend skipping Bordinos in favor of Greenhouse Grille, where the food is better, fresher, locally focused, and 1/2 the price.

Other than James at the Mill Bordino's is definitely Fayetteville's finest restaurant. Nice wine list, friendly well-informed wait staff, interesting menu and dynamic atmosphere. I am always sure to be happy when I choose Bordino's

This isn't just a great little restaurant for Fayetteville -- it's a great little restaurant for any city. It could easily hold its own against top tier restaurants in LA or Chicago. Excellent food, good wine list, friendly and capable service. What more can you ask for?

Good times. This is a great spot for just a glass of wine, or a three course meal. I love the bar. Good service and the best ceaser salad. Dont miss the mussels, the sauce is the BEST. Always find out the soup special, could be awesome. See if you can get Megan fo your server, unless you are at the bar and then it willl always be fun.

The food was overpriced for the poor quality. The lasagne was too spicy hot to eat and even when I told the waiter that it was too hot for me to eat, nothing was done. The appitizer was supposed to be cheese and seasonal fruit. The season fruit turned out to be 1 strawberry. Very dissapointing. We will never go back.

Great food! Awesome desserts! We got creme bulee and it was amazing! Great atmosphere. Basically if you want to spend a special night with someone/group of good friends, go here. It's expensive, but worth it

  • William G.

This isn't just a great little restaurant for Fayetteville -- it's a great little restaurant for any city. It could easily hold its own against top tier restaurants in LA or Chicago. Excellent food, good wine list, friendly and capable service. What more can you ask for?

    (3)
  • William D.

  • Von A.

My husband and I are new to this area, we enjoy trying new restaurants for the food and the atmosphere. Bordino's is really nice, great atmosphere, good food & service.

Great italian restaurant. I rarely go, though. It's too fancy for and every other day thing. But it's great for dates or before big events.

A great place in Fayetteville AR. Great bar area which is nice if you are meeting someone. The pasta was fresh and the steaks were amazing. My new 'Go To' place while doing business in AR.

Great for happy hour and dinner. Love their first seating menu before 6. Such a great price and dine. On the main menu, the boar risotto is fabulous. It is made with perfection. I love the atmosphere and the service is superb.

  • William G.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
