We were set out from Nashville on a trip to Arizona. We stopped in here the first day for dinner and it was so good, we decided to make it a waypoint on the way back! We tried five different tacos and they were all great! The Mexican Cream-style Corn is impeccable and the Refried Blacks Beans were on point. The chips and queso were great! The chips are huge!!! The housemade fruit punch was very real. We bought a gallon on the way home! The customer services was really awesome too! The manager remembered us from the week before and even remembered what tacos I tried so that I could try different ones this time. We wish we had one of these in Nashville!

My Wife, daughter, and son-in-law went here today because it is a favorite of theirs. The premise is great. Buy a meal and they provide a meal to you and a hungry child somewhere in the world. The premise alone would bring us regularly if we were from here, but the tacos were really good. I had the Buffalo Chicken and the Chipotle Steak tacos with Cilantro Lime rice. The tacos were both very good and very filling. The rice was different than anything I have ever had before. Good, but I would stand in line for it. Might try the beans next time. Nice atmosphere and nice people. You order at the counter and pick it up. If you are looking for full service place this not it. But there is plenty of seating and they clear the table.

Awesome menus! Vegan and vegetarian options. Great flavors, clean restrooms and fun open kitchen atmosphere. Short edit even when busy and helpful cashier! I ordered the fish taco- excellent coleslaw flavor on top, the greens and beans were very savory and the cashier recommended a vegan Mediterranean chickpea taco. It had a nice cilantro lime flavor do I'm not sure what was Mediterranean about it but excellent!

Awesome, awesome, awesome. From the moment you walk in the door you know the food is going to be good. Your nose will immediately alert you to the delicious aromas of the food you are about to treat yourself to. On this visit I had the steak and cheese quesadilla with the lime rice. It was great.

Yummy tacos! I love that you can get a variety...I usually get the medium (2 tacos and a side). The Counselor and Cuban are a couple of my favs but I've never had one that I absolutely didn't like....even the veggie ones, like the corn poblano, I've had are yummy (I'm a meat eater thru and thru). I love the mission of feeding others and I've always had great customer service.

Good food. Had the tacos and they were excellent. And cheese dip, which also was very good. Also love the ice :)

These tacos are amazing and delicious. The concept of the restaurant is admirable too. I highly recommend this place. The tortillas on the tacos seem to be fried so a little different than other place - yummy!!

I read Dylan's review and it was spot on. If I hadn't a.) been dining with a colleague and b.) famished from an early morning workout and no time for breakfast I wouldn't have eaten a bite of this food. First, the whole charity thing: I guess I fed someone somewhere faraway? I have no idea where or why but don't worry, they are certainly smiling children of color (ambiguously African or Afro-Hatian) from the looks of their website/blog. I also don't know what the bureaucratic procedure is or who is managing the meal distribution. I also got a distinctly religious/missionary vibe to the whole thing. Food is food...but I seriously hope it's not going to kids under the umbrella of a conversion or proselytizing effort. In an effort to find out more about the "Meal 4 Meal" thing I scoured the website. The "read our story" link just sends you to aforementioned picture of happy, ostensibly recently fed black children running for joy. Smacks of this: humanitariansoftinder.com Gross. Oh, and the food was disgusting. All of it. The rice was weirdly greasy and flavorless despite the freakish green color. I had the grilled chicken taco -- fast food tasting chargrilled chicken strips with flaccid lettuce, sour cream, and some other saucy blend. It was all bland. It all came on a greasy fry bread type thing that tasted like old fryer oil. I also had the carnitas taco because, hey, carnitas is the way to go at a taco place, right? Yeah. It was SO bad. Imagine the delicious crispy and yet oh-so-tender pork that makes up even the most mediocre of taqueria carnitas. Sprinkle on some minimal garnish -- onions, cilantro, maybe a squirt of lime -- on top of a grilled freshly made corn tortilla. Now, shatter your hopes and dreams. You've got mush on a cold flour tortilla. Yep, mush. Flavorless mush. Like creamed pork tendrils. Yes, a cold flour tortilla. I'm still bummed about this. Bad food under the precedent of a charity that a majority of the patrons know nothing about is not cool. And they were *blasting* mainstream country music (could barely hear my colleague). I accept that Yelp reviewers are required to give one star. I had a Jarritos (tamarind flavor of course) that was as awesome as ever. Totally worth one star.

Variety is out of this world and quality is high but I don't eat one taco. I have to eat at least two for a meal so I can't say a meal is under $10. Delicious and I love being able to donate but small portions make it where I won't be back until I get a comfortable cushion of cash.

Went for my fist time to eat here today. I have always loved the sister store, pizza42. Great food, fresh ingredients! Would recommend to all..just don't over eat (it is really easy)!

Everything about Tacos 4 Life is wonderful, from their mission to the food. Each time I come here the food is just as good if not better than the first time. The cheese dip is heavenly and you have to try the mustache punch. You get a cool mustache straw. They are so friendly and it's just a wonderful place.

  • Blake R.

I have eaten here several times and tried as many of the tacos as possible! Tacos are really good, good variety. Price is a little on the high side but it's for a good cause. But the quality and taste of the tacos is worth it.

  • Pam C.

This is good solid fast-casual mexican food. I like the atmosphere, the service has always been good and exceptionally fast. I like the diversity of tacos available although i usually get the same 2 everytime. I'm pretty boring like that. The chips are great - thin and crispy just like I like them. I don't love the side options (hence 4, not 5 stars) but the great tacos and cheese dip make this a great go to for a quick dinner.

  • J. W.

I can't believe no Yelper has rated this place yet. This is the best and widest variety of tacos (soft) available in Conway. Ala carte or a meal, you can custom design your plate. The chip and salsa-guacamole-queso dip is fantastic. Bonus: you feed a child somewhere on the world for every meal purchased. It's owned and operated by the same folks as Pitza 42 on the other side of town. It's a winning formula. Good food and an even better mission. Go try it!

On my recent visit at "Tacos 4 Life" I purchased my family an excellent dinner for all. The food was absolutely wonderful and I felt like the prices were a little high but the great tasting food and the donations to the needy with each purchased meal more than made up for the cost. I loved the atmosphere as well as the drive thru service as I have enjoyed both services. Love "Taco's 4 Life"

I have been waiting a year to try T4L because my friends have been raving about it. I finally got to go last week and it did not disappoint. The food was amazing and the portions were great. I had the Chicken Bacon Ranch tacos and I'm pretty sure they changed my life, haha. The service was wonderful and the atmosphere can only be described as really cool and unique. If you haven't been here, you're definitely missing out. Can't wait to go back!

  • Jeff W.

Great place, great food. I try to avoid going at the lunch rush because the line can be out the door and seating scarce. It is worth the wait if you can't avoid the line. That being said, their food is excellent plus your purchase contributes to a good cause. Definitely worthy of five stars.

  • K. E.

I recommend the fluffy flour tortillas. The quesadillas are a bit average, and I like the flavor of the cilantro-lime rice, but it is sometimes a bit greasy. Fun, festive atmosphere.

  • Kevin M.

Best and most unique tacos I've ever had. All ingredients are fresh and high quality. Their punch is homemade and fantastic. Every meal also provides funds to feed a starving child. You don't want to miss this place!

  • Nicole B.

Excellent tacos and sides. Every thing was perfectly prepared and fresh. The patio seating was fabulous for a warm afternoon. The only thing that could have made tacos for life better would be if they had margaritas on the menu! We will be back the next time we are in the Little Rock area.

About Taco Bell

Taco Bell is a haven for Mexican delicacies such as tacos, quesadillas, burritos, nachos, and other specialty items. Owned by Yum! Brands, Inc. Taco Bell is one of the fastest growing American chains of fast food restaurants. The restaurant operates from 7,072 different locations which are mostly run by independent franchisees and licensees.

The background story of Taco Bell is interesting and inspiring for budding entrepreneurs. The fast-food brand is the brainchild of Glen Bell, who started his first food venture as a hot dog seller in San Bernardino, California. The year was 1948. After witnessing long queues outside a Mexican restaurant called Mitla Café across the street, Bell saw the opportunity and demand for hard-shelled Tacos. He reverse-engineered the recipe and later started selling Tacos and called the venture Taco-Tia.

Later, the name changed from Taco-Tia to El Taco. Eventually, Glen Bell sold the company to his partner and opened the first Taco Bell in Downey in 1962. By 1964, the restaurant also got its first franchise in Torrance. The 100th Taco Bell restaurant was opened by 1965. PepsiCo acquired Taco Bell from Glen Bell in 1978 and the restaurant brand is currently a subsidiary of Yum! Brands which looks after the restaurant business of PepsiCo.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
