Chips and salsa AND soup before the entree? Count me in! Faby's was one of my first "discoveries" after arriving in Conway 4 years ago, and it remains my one of my most treasured restaurant finds. They have such an extensive menu that offers items you don't normally find (like stuffed avocados and quail!). This is a great place to go for friends who can't agree on if they want Mexican, Italian, or American, because Faby's offers all three! No complaints with this restaurant, tres bien!

Based on the reviews on Yelp, we stopped in on a rode trip. We love Mexican food and especially if it's more authentic. I am also very picky about the quality of meat. I don't like the cheap tiny scraps many restaurants give and I can say, I truly enjoyed my fajitas steak at Faby's downtown location. The cheese enchilada was also excellent. We will for sure be back on our next road trip through Conway!

We were looking forward to trying this place and finally had a chance this past weekend. We had the usual chips and salsa and ordered some guacamole. NOTE: The guac is muy delish!!! :} The cup of soup was a nice little surprise, but it was a little too salty for me. I ordered the carnitas and hubby ordered his usual combo - enchilada and taco. Hubby said his was meh. The carnitas was a little different than I've had in the past; it was served with a chunky tomato-like sauce. The pork was a little dry - perhaps overcooked - and was wayyyy too salty...so much that I couldn't finish it. I might add that the service was great. Wait staff friendly and attentive! :} I wouldn't be opposed to trying it again - maybe the chef just had a heavy hand with the salt that night.

Soup was wonderful. I don't normally like soup. White queso was awesome. Definitely stop in for great Mexican food at reasonable prices.

I love unique mexican and it is great to have them in conway to get away from the same old thing. Definitely try the fried chicken stuffed avocado with steak burrito thing-i love everything about it. It is a weird place but i love Mexican soap operas in the background. The salsa is a very good warm salsa with a cilantro flavor. They really execute their dishes well and the place is clearly family run in a very good way.

Faby's is the best mexican food in Conway. Great service. So many little things that set it apart. Free soup to start the meal. Generous portions. Reasonable Prices. And they have so many dishes that go beyond standard mexican fare. The Italian food is very solid as well. This is the proverbial hidden gem in Conway. I highly recommend anything with the poblanas sauce. I have taken at least 20 different people to this restaurant over the years and all but one have concluded that it is fantastic.

This was an interesting/unique little restaurant. Although a majority of the menu is Mexican cuisine, they also serve Italian and American dishes. You get started off with chips and an excellent roasted tomato salsa. Once you order, the wait staff brings out free minestrone soup that is quite good. Our table ordered a plate of tamales, pasta picatta, pasta lite, and some type of shrimp pasta. The pasta picatta was excellent with grilled chicken, peas, and a cheesy, tomato-like alfredo sauce. I had the pasta lite, which typically comes with penne pasta, olive oil, fresh tomatoes, sun-dried tomatoes, grilled chicken, parmesan cheese, and broccoli. I requested no fresh tomatoes, and received no tomatoes at all. It turns out that they were out of sun-dried tomatoes. Apparently the night before, they were out of rice. But overall, the dishes were still good. We also received toasted bread with our pasta, and free yellow cake with chocolate sauce drizzled over it for dessert. We had an entertainment book coupon, so we paid about $8 before tip for my husband and I! No complaints there. Overall, we really enjoyed our dinner.

I hate Mexican food; that is,the Americanized kind. I'm always avoiding those restaurants. When I first learned about Faby's opening up in Conway a couple of year ago, I was reluctant to try it despite the recommendation from a reliable source. When I finally decided to go, I was absolutely blown away by faby's fajitas. Talk about AUTHENTIC! this is the real Mexican food. There should be more places like this in the U.S.

I'm from out of town. Faby's service was excellent. Really fast! The food tasted fresh. You can tell that quality food is a priority for this restaurant.

I love Faby's! I frequently visit the downtown location and have always been met with excellent service. The prices are reasonable and the food is wonderful, even down to the complimentary soup and dessert!

I've got to be honest, I'm not sure whether I loved this place or not. It was a very different experience for sure. Faby's is like a combination Mexican & Italian food restaurant. The night we chose to dine here, we were the only couple in the restaurant. They had an elderly man playing the keyboard with melodic accompaniment, for just us. It was entertaining, but also pretty awkward.; We both choose Mexican dishes, not knowing the entire back of the menu was Italian food! Next time. Before we got our entree, we were served some delicious soup resembling chicken tortilla soup. Our entrees were very good, and different than alot of the Americanized Mexican fare we usually have. His fajitas were a good portion & my quesadilla was as well. We were also pleasantly surprised by the complimentary chocolate cake for desert! Not my favorite restaurant, but definitely interesting & worth trying again. (And we graciously tipped our keyboard entertainer).

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
