I need to go back...I usually do not review BBQ until 2-3 visits. it was good, and I would go back. But...its only a average BBQ place at this point. Baked Beans were the best item, Pulled pork is very good and I like the assortment of sauces, brisket was too dry and lean for my liking (nothing special) fries are not very exciting either I'll update this after another visit

I was really excited to try this place on our way through Tennessee. I saw the great Yelp reviews, saw online that they win awards all the time, etc. The restaurant was less than half full when we got there around 1PM on a Saturday. Very clean, with pictures of all of their barbecue championships on the walls. The people at the counter were very friendly and suggested the Whole Hog Platter since it was our first time. So for around $20 we both ate our fill - not a bad deal! The Whole Hog Platter included pulled pork, sliced brisket, and about 4 ribs with three sides of our choice -- cole slaw, potato salad, and cheesy corn. The sides were decent, potato salad tastes like a loaded baked potato but with a bit too much sour cream. The cole slaw was good but unremarkable as was the corn. But what we were most excited to try was the meat! Unfortunately all three were quite dry. The ribs and the brisket had a nice smoky flavor but the ribs were tough and the brisket overly salty. The pulled pork was both dry and lacking in flavor. They had a variety of barbecue sauces at the table which provided some much needed moisture but didn't add a ton of flavor. So overall surprisingly mediocre barbecue but from an obviously well run and respected local business.

Whole Hog is one of my family's regular go-to places in Benton. We've tried and love darn near everything on the menu. I especially like their half chicken plate--tender, fall-off-the-bone deliciousness. I just have a hard time deciding which of their great sauces to slather on it, although I'm partial to their mustard-based Carolina style. The sides are excellent, too, especially their beans and potato salad. Sim's in Little Rock is still my favorite, but Whole Hog runs a close second.

Took a cross country road trip from Nashville to Sacramento, and stopped here on the way. Best BBQ I've ever had, hands down. Was expecting to love the brisket, but fell into a deep trance after tasting the pulled chicken!!! Best chicken i've ever had. Definitely recommend it. Plus, the spicy bbq sauce is the best!!!

Decent bbq had high expections of this place I prefer Lindsey's or even sims bbq over whole hog anyday

Stop by at this place whenever you visit Arkansas. World champion in BBQ. They had more than 20 trophies for being a champion. We tried beef brisket and it was so good. They have six different kind of BBQ sauce snd my favorite is #3 spicy but good

Great food and easy access off the highway. Also open Sundays and we had driven 200 miles looking for good BBQ and most were closed. The two meat plate will stuff you. 6 different BBQ sauces on the table to try. That made it fun.

Whole Hog Café is located in a suburb of Little Rock---Bryant, AR and just off Interstate 30 on Highway 5 North in a free standing strip center. It does not have a great curb appeal from the outside however the food was excellent. Enter the building and you order at the counter. I had the 1/2 slab ribs , which were some of the best I have ever eaten. My spouse had the 1/2 chicken and that was one large "bird". Two sides, potato salad and slaw made a very good meal. The prices are very good. $11.99 for the ribs and only $7.79 for the 1/2 chicken. Next time I think I will get the chicken as it was cooked just right with the meat being juicy and not dried out. The smoky flavor was excellent for the chicken. The ribs had one of their bar b q sauces on them and I would not have selected a sweet sauce but rather a spicy sause. Next time I will ask for the ribs without sauce and then coat the ribs the way I desire from the selection of six different sauces on each of the tables. The hallway was displaying many trophies that have been won at bar b q events and I can see why. Very good experience with great prices.

One of the best BBQ plates I've ever had. Pulled pork cooked perfectly. Six different flavors of BBQ sauce on the table. Only weird thing was signing a membership to order a beer. Highly recommended.

Always clean, friendly and fast service. Not to mention, delicious BBQ! And if you're not in the mood for beef or pork, the chicken is amazing. Their potato salad is one of my favorites, as it is made with sour cream.

Whole Hog is our favorite BBQ restaurant in Central Arkansas. They have great service. The take out is fast. The potato salad is amazing. They offer a variety of sauces sweeter/spicier etc.

Food ok, but watch the shady cashiers. Wanted to order ala carte, but the cashier suggested plates so we'd save a few dollars. Two plates came to over $19. After I paid, I figured out that it would have been about $13 ala carte. The cashier then incorrectly refunded $4 hoping I wouldn't notice and finally the correct amount. They must be paid on commission.

They have really good food there I would 10/10 recommend the ribs. If you want to split the bill in half they can get it done but it might take a bit for them to do so. When people are around the atmosphere is nice and the staff is friendly. It's also very clean and nice.

My wife and I stopped at Whole Hog as we were passing through the Little Rock area just after Thanksgiving 2014. We have plenty of excellent BBQ spots in Saint Louis, but were intrigued by the enthusiastic reviews on Yelp. It was excellent. I had brisket and my wife had the pulled pork, and between us, we had several sides: potato salad, french fries, and cole slaw. The meat was smoky and moist, the sides were tasty (though I didn't care for the skins in the potato salad), and the sweet tea was the perfect accompaniment to the meal. We'll be back.

Great BBQ! Great service! I had the loaded baked potato. It was huge! They have 6 different kinds if sauces to choose from. They are sitting in every table, so you can easily try them all.

I never really liked BBQ joints til my hubby made me try it 8 years ago in LR. Best BBQ I've ever had. I always get the brisket plate. It is sliced thin and easy to eat. BBQ sauces are all great. There are 6 of them at the table...and 7th(super spicy) is behind the counter. I compare all BBQ to this place! Potato salad is my fav also ;)

I've always loved eating at the location down on Cantrell. I was happy that they opened up this one in Bryant since its a lot closer to where I live. Today I ordered the sliced brisket plate with potato salad and fries. The potato salad is as awesome as it always is. I've tried to make my own at home but its never as great as theirs. The only complaint I had was that the brisket didn't taste the same as it does on Cantrell. It just didn't seem as fresh with that good smokey flavor, crisp on the edges and steaming with flavor. Maybe they need to have one of them boys from Cantrell come show them how to smoke it right. It was still better than any other BBQ joint in town though.

Good food. Service was a little strange though. Guy in the kitchen kept making mistakes and the cashier girl was arguing with him in front of everyone. Meat was good, hardly any fat. A box on your table contains six sauces for you to try, with the hottest being stashed behind the front counter upon request only. Dining room area was clean, free pop refills. This location was a get your own plate from the counter after your number is called, but leave your plate on the table when you're done type arrangement. I guess it's good for those who don't want to tip, but confusing for those who do.

If I could give the food zero stars I would. Horrible ribs. Was like eating jerky. Walked out after two bites. What a waste.
