This place is a fail. Not friendly to those who go late.. lights out before closure, ignoring people in Line. Good ice cream. But yomo has good yogurt too. Try brusters,hope ya like it. If you catch them before they close early

I've been coming to Bruster's for quite a while and they've yet to disappoint. They have a good variety of ice cream flavors to choose from and it's all made on site in the back of the store! Reasonably priced and I like the punch card rewards system. They also give a military discount! They have a very good banana split and brownie sundae. My go to ice cream is the chocolate lover's trash. Nothing ever tasted so good! I'll be back for sure! Come here year round for pumpkin ice cream and an warm apple pie dish in the fall!

We stopped nearby on a whim to eat dinner as we were returning home from our family vacation. Many of our friends had given rave reviews of this ice cream but I never understood its appeal until now. Close your eyes (unless you are driving...but no one reads on their phones and drives right?!? ). Now think back to the days when you were a kid and you would go to the local ice cream shop or to a summer BBQ where someone had made homemade ice cream. That creamy, rich and smooth ice cream that would drip off the cone making sweet runways run down your arm, then drop down to collect on the leg of your shorts. Now, multiply that by 100...yes, it's that good! I had the strawberry waffle cone. (It is such a large portion that my kids thought I had ordered a double scoop!) The cones are made at the store and have a nice flavor of vanilla. Perfect pairing with any of their multitude of flavors...think beyond strawberry, chocolate or vanilla! The staff there was more than accommodating. My two boys wanted chocolate shakes (which are huge for two kids) so we ordered a regular and asked if they would split the shake between two cups to help minimize the sugar rush that would ensue later in the evening. They were more than happy to do so! Oh and enjoy the samples...there will surly be one that will catch your eye! I look forward to my next chance encounter with this chain of ice cream shops...but maybe next time I will be a bit more intentional about locating one and making a point to stop in and say hi!

The ice cream here is just not good. Honestly, publix brand ice cream is about the same if not better. There's only a few tables of outside seating available where you'll be in 80 degree heat and surrounded by yelling kids. And lastly, the ice cream is overpriced.

Based on the ice cream alone, I would have given this location a 4 or 5. However, the staff on the day I went seemed focused on anything but working. I ordered a pint of ice cream - when I got to the window, I was given a cone with that flavor ice cream. I had to explain three times that I wanted a PINT of ice cream. The location that was in Cahaba Heights was MUCH better. They were always pretty friendly and got my order right every time. I'm so sad that it closed!

Great service! Walkup window or drive-thru available. Choices and quality are on-point! Try the new Graham Canyon or Sea salt Caramel, Cheesecake or Cookie Dough....they're slap-yo-mama delish! Oh, don't forget to ask for a punch card, text for discounts while in line, or $1 off 1 cone offers! Great place!

A typical ice cream place but the ice cream just isn't good. It almost tastes like it isn't made from real dairy. The drive through is convenient especially on busier nights since there isn't much seating. And even if you can find a place to sit the tables are usually sticky and dirty. I've given this place two tries and I'm done. Definitely won't be back.

It's cold, it's good, it hits the spot on warm days, and this particular location is clean and a nice outdoorsy spot to take a few minutes out of the day to give yourself a treat. The staff's pretty young but very cordial - no problems there. Be prepared for larger crowds at night, though, especially during the warm months. All-in-all a nice ice cream eatery, with steady flavor favorites and somewhat monthly new additions. Recommended ---

Just off US-31 near where I-65 crosses, Bruster's sits and beckons the summer passers-by with temptingly delicious flavors and refreshingly cool treats. There's a little patio out front, but due to the size, the location seems better suited for a) a drive-thru visit or b) hanging out on the tailgate of a pickup in the parking lot.
