What a lovely cafe that serves as an ideal balance between a group of friends on a college night or for the family during the day. You order at the counter and they bring the food to you. The interior resembles your typical Southern restaurant in Alabama but their selling point is the patio. There's plenty of seating available so don't worry about finding a spot for you and your group. They have many drink specials around all the time so be sure to catch them when they come around. I ordered the pimento cheese and soup combo. The pimento cheese was delicious and lukewarm (not sure if it's supposed to be that way) but I enjoyed it. It helped that the bread reminded me of how my mom used to make a sandwich with even more butter. The chili was good. The price of $7.50 was reasonable for this combination. There are other options including burgers and sandwiches for the boys, and salads and mouth-watering cakes for the girls. It took every ounce of willpower to hold off on the dessert menu but now I kind of want to go back to pick one up...

First of all, the food is good. It's not great, but it's good. I've had various experiences with both fast and incredible slow service. There never seems to be a pattern to it in the few times I've gone. The main flaw of the restaurant is the hours it's open. It claims to be open for breakfast but it doesn't open until 10:30 and it only stays open until 3! It isn't even open on Saturdays for game day. I just don't understand the business plan I guess.

They advertise "local chefs, local food". I guess "super-slow service, mediocre food" didn't work for their marketing strategy. I just took my family of four and, even with their limited menu, it took over an hour from ordering until the food arrived. Since you pay in advance, you're stuck unless you want to make a stink and ask for a refund (which I saw others doing). If you're looking for a "meat and 3", I suggest City Cafe, Mr. Bill's, Blue Plate, Front Porch, or basically anywhere other than here.

They stopped serving breakfast. Sadness. I did eat there for lunch a couple times. It was good. The food is the freshest around. I will be back.

Apparently "meat and three" is a common concept in the South, but it's pretty foreign to this Arizona boy! This idea really needs to head west! We arrived for an early lunch as they were unlocking the door for the day. Today's lunch items were chicken fried steak or Buffalo chicken bites. Our party got both. The chicken fried steak was a generous portion that was a REAL CFS. It was so refreshing not to see the frozen roofing tiles that so many places try to serve. Yum! Buffalo chicken bites were also obviously prepared onsite. Big hunks of chicken breast, lightly breaded and just enough heat to make you know it was there, but not enough to bring tears. Delicious. Dessert was peanut butter cream pie. After lunch, it was a struggle to finish, but I'm proud to say I prevailed! Also excellent! When we ordered, my son asked for the hash brown casserole, and were told that it would be a few minutes. Knowing this, he ordered it anyway. Our server apologized several times, even though we assured her it was not an issue. Still, it was appreciated. All in all, excellent!

My sister was so excited to bring us to T Town when we came to town. I was not enthused by the menus selection, and ended up ordering a grilled chicken sandwhich (my go to when nothing else looks appetizing) it was good, nothing spectacular. The fries were mushy and gross. The staff was working their butts off though, and everyone was real friendly. My grandma loved her pimento cheese sandwhich and sister loves the catfish!

I can't get past the bad service. On average, about 20% of the time, our order has been "lost". And you have to pay first, so you can't just leave without your food. Never once did the manager acknowledge the screw-ups. The food is great, but the service is lacking.

ok for my husband ... not so great for me . I was expected excellent ... got ok. pie was not great, onion rings kind of weird, hamburger ok. Club sandwich for my husband was good, chili good . Don't get the local white wine there unless you Love it sweet.

We have been here three times since it open and the food has been great every time! Best option for meat and three in this area!

Disappointed. I had read some decent reviews on this place and thought we would try it. Went twice and not a fan. First time the waitress suggested the T-Town burger. A good 30 minutes later I was served a very over cooked greasy (from the weird tasting green tomatoes) burger. In the south we love our fried green tomatoes and I have no idea where they learned how to fry or even pick out a good tomato but someone didn't show 'em right. The fries we soft greasy and devoid of any crunch, a couple of pushes with a fork and I had undercooked mashed potatoes. A few months later went back with some friends and thought I would try the shepherd's pie. I was explained to that it wasn't a traditional pie. I should have rethink my game plan then but decided to brave it out. Mashed potatoes with some Ground meat with very little flavor. The waitress came by and asked if I liked it and I smiled and said not really. I got a I'm sorry and she walked off. Oh well she warned me.

Don't believe the website -- they do NOT serve breakfast all day on Saturday. Walked all the way over there and was told "Yes, I know it's on the website, but we don't serve breakfast after 10:30 and it's not my fault." Yes, but it *is* your fault that I won't be coming back to your eating establishment.

So worth the extra dollar or two as compared to their similar down the street and across the river old downtown cafe spots.

We went to the restaurant that was in this space before and we were sad to see it go. When we came over for the Alabama gymnastics meet last Friday, we saw that the new T-Town Cafe had opened, and gave it a shot. Glad we did! Everything about this experience was wonderful! Food was great, especially the hush puppies and biscuits and the fried catfish. Service was outstanding, and value was very good. We will definitely be back!
