I really like Ruby Tuesday, I've always had a good experience at this location for the most part...had bad service one time, other than that I like going here.

Contrary to some other reviews, my experience here has always been excellent. The food quality is better than other Ruby Tuesdays, but the customer service is what keeps me coming back! The manager, Jeff, and the bartender, Gabby, have always been top-notch, welcoming, and take a genuine interest in their customer. Troy is a convenient stop-over for me in my travels, and this Ruby Tuesday is a big reason why. It's nice to have a staff that remembers you when you return. Keep up the good work guys, and never remove those comfortable bar stools!!!

DON'T HEAT UP THE TAKE OUT DESERTS IN THE STYROFOAM BOX! My wife & I order desert to take back to the hotel. I had a Blondie Brownie. Apparently this is served warm and was microwaved in a small Styrofoam take out box. The ice cream was in a separate plastic bowl. I placed the brownie in the plastic bowl and enjoyed it very much except the bottom of the brownie was chewy and my last bites were crunchy. Placing the Styrofoam box in the trash I noticed a triangle outline the size of the brownie on the bottom of the styrofoam box. The outline was melted Styrofoam. Not the way I like to end my day......ingesting plastic. But the chewy stuff was a nice touch. Why is it the best things in life will make you sick or kill you. I guess I should of had the salad bar - looked great and I have never had a bad salad at Ruby Tuesdays.

In Town for work. Went to bar where I expected to sit for a few hours and work, eat and drink. I got a drink, no napkin. Never offered a menu. Never asked if I wanted to eat. At one point 6 employees were behind the bar and I was the only patron. So I paid out and went to Santa Fe. Great service there.

This evening, I had one of the worst restaurant experiences yet. The meal was decent, what one might expect from something at the level of ruby tuesday. However, the plate was slopped together, with no attention to detail or presentation. That was however not the issue. When I mentioned the issue to the waitress she was kind and polite but made excuses for the kitchen staff. I asked to speak to the manager. When I put forth my concern, she seemed to be holding back laughter that I would bring something so menial as presentation to her attention. When I told her I was serious, she told me if it were her, she would not have waited to the end of the meal to get the manager. When I told her I did not appreciate how she was handling the concern she became noticeably upset. When I called her out on it, she told me she was not upset. As the conversation continued I told her she was being defensive. She told me, "I am not being defensive!" Way to contradict herself. I will not be going back to this location, no would I recommend that anyone else does until they clean up their customer service and learn to treat people with respect.

I had very bad service and food at the Ruby Tuesday in Troy years ago so had not been back. But my wife and I went yesterday and we were very pleasantly surprised. The service and food were excellent. Drinks specials included $5 for all Absolut drinks. I had a martini and my wife had a Ruby Relaxer. Both were very good and fairly large. For an appetizer, we split the Asian dumplings (around $8) which came with peanut sauce. I was skeptical of the sauce, but they were very good. For our main courses, my wife had a half a rack of ribs and I had the New Orleans Seafood (broiled tilapia topped with shrimp and Parmesan cream, and seasoned with what appeared to be Bay Seasoning) ($15 for each entree). We each had creamed cauliflower and sliced tomatoes. The ribs were fall off the bone good. The New Orleans Seafood dish was also very good, but not "wow" worthy. (You could have easily made it at home.) The creamed cauliflower was pretty bland, but the tomatoes were very good (they came covered with a dark vinaigrette). Our total bill was $50, but that was with a "buy one entree, get one half price" coupon. Overall, a nice dining experience.

Friendly service and good lunch specials, but not much variety in their salad bar.
