It's Mother's Day and the family decided on The Wagon Wheel Steakhouse, a family style dining establishment with long, cafeteria-like tables for large parties or entire church congregations..We got there around noon so the place wasn't packed. There's a salad bar where you can either go to once during your meal for $2.99 or all-you-can-eat for $7.00 but I wouldn't really suggest this unless you just don't like meat. Again, iceberg lettuce is the star of the day. There's a variety of toppings ranging from baco-bits to pickled okra to salami and canned peaches. It's the usual suspects of a buffet-style salad bar..not very impressive. I didn't feel like steak, of which there's a nice little selection. I had the combo fish/shrimp platter with a side of slaw and 'roasted corn' Let me just speak about the corn real quick..it would have been wonderful if they hadn't 'boilt' it before roasting it. The roasted flavor never shone through and the slaw was crunch-less and bland. The fried shrimp was so-so and the fillet of catfish was okay. Not much to write home about. Perhaps the steak was the main attraction but I'm not drawn into returning. I will say the staff was outstanding and attentive
