GET THE TACOS AL PASTOR OR CARNITAS ON CORN TORTILLAS!!!!! Try it with just a little lime juice. You'll never eat anything else. The salsa is amazing. The staff is friendly and knows us now. My wife grew up near the border in TX and this is the first place she's likes. What passes for Mexican at other restaurants is shameful.... El Patron is awesome!!!!

Ate there recently and I can say that this restaurant is certainly worth returning to and is in the middle of the pack of Mexican restaurants in the Prattville/Millbrook area.

In the Prattville/Millbrook area, it seems there is a Mexican restaurant on every corner. This is a family favorite and the wiat staff is courteous and often funny when interacting with the kids. The foods are definitely targeted toward the American audience, but there is enough spice to the give real flavor.

This place used to be our usual date night go to. Now, ick!! New management or something but they don't know how to mix drinks, the food was wrong and disgusting,

This is OK. Service needs great improvement. Cheese dip was sort of bland and tasted like cheddar. Nachos OK . Grilled chicken was seasoned well and tasted quite good. Will wait a while to come back.

Great food, great service, yum! This was Date night so we didn't want a hovering waiter, the wait staff was perfect, took care of what we needed but didn't interrupt our conversation. We will return with the kids.

I probably stop by this place almost every other Sunday after church. The food comes out super quick and it never disappoints on quality. The wait staff is all very friendly and have great customer service here. Pretty much everything I have tried so far is really good! I always order off the lunch specials menu which is really affordable as well. I usually get the beef enchilada plate that comes with rice and beans but this past Sunday I got the steak tacos that comes with rice and beans. Always fresh ingredients with everything from the food down to the chips and salsa. WARNING: THE CHIPS AND SALSA ARE SO GOOD, YOU WONT STOP MUNCHING UNTIL YOUR FOOD COMES. lol I think this is why I never finish my food. The salsa is so good and the chips are always fresh and sometimes they're warm which you know means they just finished making them. Great place for groups and families too if you're ever looking for a fast meal. I've tried other Mexican places in Prattville but this place comes out on top in my opinion. Best place in Prattville, worthy to check out! Definitely gonna keep being a loyal customer.

Upon walking in to the restaurant and viewing the specials, I knew that this would be the place for me! Needless to say I was not disappointed. The service was excellent and most importantly the food was hot and tasty! The chips were fresh and crisp, the salsa was loaded with fresh ingredients and had a decent spice level, and the house margarita was wayyyy better than I expected for a $2 drink. (I expected an overly tangy, tequila-less, iced drink). It actually had a nice balance to it. ANDDDD it was really only $2). I ordered the Rigo's combination (because I can never decide what to eat and it's just easier to taste a bit of everything at once). The chicken enchilada and chicken quesadilla were phenomenal, but the tamale was a bit dryer than I'd like. Oh! My meal total was $11! #win Overall it was an enjoyable experience and a great meal.

This was my first and LAST time going to this restaurant. I ordered a peach margarita and it was DISGUSTING. The peach used tasted old and the liquor tasted like aristocrat. When I told the waiter I did not want it, he pushed my drink back towards me. He also told me I still had to pay for the drink, which I told him I didn't mind. He was still rude and tried to force the drink in front of me. I then told him I wanted a coke and would still pay for the margarita. That's when he took it. The food was also very tasteless. The hostess was very nice though. I will NEVER go back!

Very good, flavorful food from a menu with many authentic dishes. Service was excellent and food was prepared quickly and delivered hot and fresh. We'll return to try other dishes as this wss our first visit.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
