Great hidden gem in Opelika. It'll look like you're going the wrong way, since it's truly in a warehouse and tucked into an industrial area. But there it is! White tablecloths and all. Our server Michelle was fantastic last night! She was prompt and sweet and great. The bread with the goat cheese spread is so ridiculously good. Great wine list. I didn't like the oyster Rockefeller. It tasted wrong. Bitter and strange. Hence the 4 stars instead of 5. This was a disappointment since that's one of my favorite dishes. My mom and I split a salad (they're huge) and they even plated it split in half for us! So awesome. The veggies were fresh and the salad was great. I got the bow tie pasta and it was amazing!!!!! Served with delicious haricots vert and it was great. Mom had the same thing and loved it. Huge serving, plenty of leftovers. My dad got the filet Oscar and cleaned his plate. We had no room for dessert. Wish we could have tried it! Great little spot in Opelika.

A great place for a nice dinner! Esp for a date I think. It's very small and romantic feeling. Very intimate. Even if it does feel a little outdated, I think it's nice. Esp for the area. The menu is risky, and hit or miss. Skip the oyster Rockefeller for an appetizer, and the duck, but the shrimp and crab bisque is worth it. The crab cakes are the way to go here entree wise. Delicious. My mom vouches for the lamb chops. The steak was amazing here too, they cook it just the way you ask. Skip the fish (it tasted frozen). The service is what I love here. The waiters are so nice. They are attentive, helpful, and friendly. Really good service which I appreciate. The wine list is wonderful. They have a white wine from Germany (I forgot the name) but just tell them that, and they'll know. it's some of the best wine i've had. now the dessert.....when the waiter asks you about bread pudding while your still eating your entree, just say YES. It's crazy delicious. i don't usually go for bread pudding, but here, it's worth getting it. the banana one esp. I'd say go here, it's expensive yes, but it's great for a nice dinner without driving to Atlanta.

This is one of the few fine dining destinations in the area and it does a pretty good job. The food is great and the menu has a large selection. Order a steak and it will be cooked perfectly to order. Order fish and it will surely not be overcooked. The staff is attentive and can answer any question you have. This isn't a place that normal people can go to once a week, but it is worth a first try and the occasional trip. BREAD PUDDING. :)

Yellow Hammer (Waverly, AL) used to by our favorite "nice" restaurant in the area but after a mediocre experience in Waverly we thought we would try Warehouse Bistro. We were pleasantly surprised by the vast "classic" menu and great service. We have been to Warehouse Bistro three times in the last 6 months and all visits are exceptional. The wine list is vast and you can take your own wine for a $10 corkage fee. Give this place a try but make a reservation. We are heading back to Valentine's Weekend and I can't wait.

The Warehouse Bistro is an awesome place to eat! I have tried many of their menu choices and love them all! I haven't had anything that wasn't out of this world! They have a very extensive wine menu if you're interested too!

Another fabulous dinner in Auburn / Opelika! Still scratching my head at the peeps who think Auburn has nothing to offer in the way of fine dining. I'm loving every opportunity to go down and enjoy the culinary excitement that's going on in this great town (and only getting better). And the prices are extremely acceptable! This place is in a cool part of town - the old warehouse district (get it? WAREHOUSE Bistro ... in the WAREHOUSE district?? Ok, just checking!) Definitely upscale, however the ambiance is a little off; the decor could use some upgrading - It sorta felt like we were in an old italian place in the north. I will say, however, that once the food started coming to the table - my thought was no where near what the decor looked like. (Just like in the old IT places in NY - who CARES what it looks like when you're eating food that good!) For a table of four, we sure did take a valiant stab at attempting to try nearly everything on the menu. And everything we tried was great. I started with a taste of the oysters Rockefeller ($8). Great twist on this mainstay dish and very well done - probably the best I have had (except the place in NO). I ordered the carpaccio ($11) which was yummy - so yummy I could have licked the plate. Then I went for the Citrus Greens Salad ($6) which was topped with apples and mandarin oranges and dotted with blue cheese. The vinaigrette was a tad salty but that could have been an attribute of the blue cheese. I should have expected it. Nevertheless, it was very good. For my main I chose the Black Grouper (fried) which was topped with lump crab ($26) and a hollandaise - this was, in my opinion, the steal of the menu (and after trying others' dishes at the table, probably the best tasting! Although, all those yummy things at our table were well under $30.) The menu is heavy - there is a LOT to choose from. Be wise. GO HUNGRY and save room for dessert (the bread pudding - I could have licked that plate too)!

Getting here is not a joke and you won't be pranked or be risking your life, I promise. The GPS takes you off exit 60 into a lot surrounded by abandoned mills, warehouses, and deserted lands of gravel. There is no sign of life. Suddenly in the center of it all, is a dimly lit gorgeous high-end restaurant. The layout is gorgeous and intimate. I love how one wall is entirely encompassed with wine cases. I got the $19 bow tie pasta which had the delight of bacon bits swimming about. It was delicious. However, the sauce was more watery than I would like. Their butter dipping was fantastic. The waiter who handled my order was not accommodating and rude. He stacked 3 to-go boxes for me to carry out. When I asked for a plastic bag to make it easier to carry this to my car, he replied: "you can have a trash bag." Even when I dropped one of my boxes on the way out, he stared at me.

Pros: good food Cons: *way over priced (~ $100 for 2 people including tip) would I go back: no So we decided at 5:30 on a Thursday to go here and were the first people in the door when they opened at 6. We had no reservation so they took us to the back dining room, which had maybe 8 tables. I *really hope the rest of the place isn't like where we were. Stains on the carpet, 3 different types of acoustic ceiling tile (a number of which were broken), 1960's trailer park wood paneling, holes in our table cloth, broken lens on the light fixtures. The place looked - and *smelled - like a mildewy single wide mobile home that was trying its hardest to be classy. That we were they only people in the room for the duration of our time there didn't really help. The service was decent and I'm not going to denigrate the food... it was good. Not great but a few notches above average. Based on other reviews I tried the bread pudding and it was also good - not great but good. I couldn't help but think this place was a scam foisted on people who don't know any better.

Looking for fine dining in Opelika?? This is your place. From the wait staff to the impeccable delightful menu selections, this place will wow you and bring out your inner foodie. My faves? The piroshki, the crab spanakopita, and the twin duck breasts. . . .DELICIOUS!!!!!

I thought the food and service was very good with one exception. My salad was delivered as a wilted salad. Did not like the presentation. We had crab cakes--great taste; French onion soup--delicious; salad--yuck, wilted greens; beef Wellington --fantastic; flourlesd chocolate cake--wonderful. We had a great server, they were out of the wine we ordered at first; not good, but we replaced with a watery Pinot noir. $300 for the four of us! My husband said not worth the price but my opinion--with the exception of the salad: worth it. Go there and have a nice romantic evening.

This is a wonderful place to eat! The crab cakes are incredible, and we love the outdoor patio when the weather is nice outside. The food is consistently great and the bread pudding is the best I have ever had.... BUT make sure you order it early, it is made to order and takes 15 mins to prepare..... BUT IT IS A MUST!

Whoa. This place is good. Pretty small from the looks of it? So I'm guessing on weekends you'll probably need a reservation. I wish it was warmer out because the patio area looked really nice. Inside was great too. Very festively decorated for the holidays. Service was excellent and the food was even better. I had the crab cakes.. they were amazing of course. Definitely unexpected.. I thought we were lost on our way there because it's pretty secluded.
