Met the family after work here for dinner. The place was packed to the gills and I had a difficult time finding them. The waitress was nice enough, but I felt she either didn't want to be there or or serve us. But she never said anything out of place, it was just here facial expression. The general atmosphere was rather busy and their staff was hopping to tables. They did some sort of pep cheer in the kitchen which caused the dining area to look over. It was a little strange, but I'm not knocking it since it wasn't long nor did it disturb the service given. I ordered the 20oz Bone In Ribeye Medium Rare and it was cooked to order. I enjoyed every bite. My wife had the chicken and there was a bit of confusion as she thought it was pulled chicken. The first order she placed (can't remember what) they didn't have that night which was disappointing. I tasted her chicken and it wasn't bad ,b ut it wasn't anything to write home about. My daughter had the ribs. She enjoyed it and they did fall off the bone so I'd say they did well. My son had chicken bites and fries and I tasted a bite of his to encourage him to eat it. It was good. So, overall the food was good. As far as the timing of the food, I'd say it was a bit slow, but then again it was Friday night and the place was packed.

We came at an off time, 3:30 pm. We were traveling, and did not want to spend a lot of time, but we did not mention this. Salad and rolls were good. Our main server was also good. Food servers were boarder line surly. My wife's filet and green beans were good. I was served leftover reheated burnt ribs and cold steak fries. As I said we were in a hurry or I would have sent it back. Avoid this restaurant, no manager of a quality restaurant would allow this type of food to be served.

Just another noisy ass steak place that makes the wrong food. But hey, the cooked-from-frozen rolls are decent. In all seriousness the food is ok. steak is very fatty. Had most of the steak on the side of the plate, inedible, due to the amount of chewy fat. It's kind of hard to explain without a pic (which I don't have) but it was a good half of my steak at least. I felt the need to ask the waitress if I could have maybe a discount instead of paying for the 12oz steak, only pay for the 8oz (or whatever the case was) but she was pretty unapologetic and said that she was sorry but couldn't really help me. Well I'm sorry but I can't really come back to your restaurant because your steaks are too fatty and your service is too slow. Don't complain you didn't get a tip either- you forgot my wife's side order of fry's and never brought them and didn't even put them on our ticket. No harm done I suppose, other than losing our patronage and anyone we tell about you. And hopefully anyone who reads this review ;-).

Crazy busy here today. Sitting at the bar, these girls are busting their butts to keep up. Food is good as always, surprisingly really. Steaks are consistently cooked correctly. As with most places the bar is where to sit. Give it a try!

One Word: Horrendous! Keep driving if you want quality, great food. This Texas Roadhouse doesn't respect your time; so you may be there at least 1.5 hours because of the slow, rude service. This place is disgusting and have terrible customer service. Our waitress took at least 10 minutes every time we asked for things we requested. Also it took another 20 minutes for our waitress to bring salads to the table and an extra 30 minutes for the food. Our food ONLY came after we asked our waitress about the delay. We noticed people around us (who were seated after us) receiving their food. When I asked the reason for the delay, our unprofessional waitress told us that she put our order in late. Really?!? This place is embarrassing. I have absolutely no desire to come here again. STAY AWAY!!!

In a word: Terrible. We walked in and asked if they had available seating and the girl behind the podium said "No, it's going to be about a four hour wait hahahaha!" Awkward. After getting a table we met our server. She seemed nice enough, but after she took our drink orders, she disappeared. I'm not one for having demandingly high expectations from busy servers, but this girl was bad. Real bad. At one point we noticed her finally getting around to pouring our beers at the bar. We saw her literally throw away 3 full glasses of beer because she didn't know how to pour it without major head. She brought the beers to the table 3/4 filled and the rest all bubbles. She never brought rolls until we tracked her down. She never brought silverware until we again tracked her down. She never took empty glasses away so we had to flag yet another person down to help us out. When the food finally made it to our table, I could tell it had been sitting for some time. My veggies were room temperature and rubbery and baked potato was....meh. The only positive about my meal was the steak. It was seared perfectly and cooked medium rare. Exactly how I ordered it. So if management gets around to reading this: the guys cooking the steaks are doing a great job, but your customer service in every other area needs critical improvement.

Disappointed! I absolutely love Texas Road House but the customer service at this one was abysmal. Had to ask for bread, silverware and asked twice to have dirty plates removed. The bartender must have dumped 3 beers trying to pour mine and I still got 3" of foam. The food was good and garnered 2 stars instead of 1 because the service was that disappointing.

We didn't dine here and probably never will, I encountered the rudest person ever when calling to make reservation for a party of 16. We were basically told that they don't have tables, but booths. This gentleman didn't even try to find solutions, but wanted me to make other suggestions, his words were " help me help you" really??? So we helped ourselves to Logan's in Prattville, AL where we were treated well and the food was great!!! Word of Advice: Get a better Staff Texas Roadhouse.

The wait time for our party was ridiculous. The food was pretty good though. Our server did as good as he could do with a huge crowd.

I always enjoy the steaks and loaded sweet potatoes here. However, today we had a great server. Tabor was our server and it was nice to have someone very friendly as well as helpful! Definite thumbs up for a fast and enjoyable experience today!!!

I don't know what everybody is complaining about but we had an excellent experience at TRH last night. We called ahead and they had our table waiting. Our server was professional, attentive and even fun! The food was outstanding. In fact, I enjoyed my filet at TRH more than the shoe-leather ribeye I got at Firebirds last month. All sides were tasty, seasoning spot on, and price was reasonable. They even offer military discounts. Based on what we experienced, I'm going back!

So, coming to Texas Roadhouse without reading the reviews was a sore decision. I see how the majority of y'all here said this place sucked donkey nuts, and you were correct. After being seated with only one set of silverware, we proceeded to wait....wait for straws, wait for the rest of the silverware (took 10 min to get) wait for our orders to be taken. Honey the wait was damn real and annoying. Also servers were bringing out incorrect food orders to our table and tables around us. Just seemed all types of disorder. The food itself was ok. I really liked the rolls and cinnamon butter and the steak was good but the service definitely over shadowed the cuisine. Just an overall disorganized experience. For an established chain restaurant that's new in the area, I anticipated better service.

Came here for Mother's Day. Great food and great service. Darian was our server and did an awesome job. An especially very hard task given such a busy day.

Awful. Came for dinner at 6:00 on a Sunday night with a party of 4. Service was terribly slow, took over 20 minutes for drinks. Worst steak I've ever had. Asked for it medium, and it literally was like eating a shoe. Most staff members except for the guy running food seemed totally disinterested in their job. Will not return.

My absolute favorite restaurant. I love this place, I've been many times and have never been disappointed. I love the ribs and loaded potatoes..soo good.

No way, No How. This is one of the worst places I have been to. The service was beyond slow. The place was less than half full and they still took almost 1 hour to bring our food. The Manager said it was a "Late Ring In". Sorry not acceptable.

Not sure what all the fuss is about. Was seated immediately. Server was Johnny-on-spot. Took our orders and delivered them to our table in a very efficient manner. One small glitch was rectified quickly. Food was hot and flavorful. Enjoyed it. In and out in less than an hour.

My family and I came in from a road trip with high spirits ready for an easy meal on a Monday night. We ordered at 8:45pm and that is when our struggles began. We ordered things such as strawberry daiquiri , Mac n cheese, strawberry tea, lemonade, even milk and they had none of it. Wait time is atrocious from order to appetizer, salads being too hot and not having silverware for half an hour. We asked up to 3 people for such and didn't receive it until later. Even at 9:30 did we not get our food, all on a Monday night. If only there was a rating lower than 1 Star.

Always very delicious!!! Love the pulled pork. Great salads. Kabobs are amazing. This restaurant is one of my favorites in a neighborhood with many choices.

I would give this place less than one star if I could. My wife and son took me here for my birthday and it was by far the worse restaurant experience I've ever had. It took forever to be seated and the place wasn't really that busy. Our waitress was rude. It took an hour for our food to arrive. Our food was brought to our table my a bus boy who was wearing very dirty clothes (covered in food and stains from busing tables). Our food was cold. My son's and my steaks were over cooked. We did not get our baked potatoes, ever though we asked multiple times where they were. We had to ask other waitresses about our food because the only time we saw ours was when she took our order and when we got the check. We didn't eat all of our food because for the most part it was horrible. Our bill was almost $70. When I complained that we didn't get our baked potatoes, and that the food was cold, they gave us $5 off the bill. I asked to see the manager, I was told that he was unavailable. I complained on Texas Roadhouse's facebook page the told me that I would receive a gift card as reimbursement for the meal. I never received the gift card. If you are smart, you will go somewhere else and stay away form this place.

I honestly do not see how anyone could give this place more than one star. We waited for a table for over 30 minutes (we were only a party of two) and then when we were seated we had to wait another ten minutes for the waitress to take our drink orders. After all that waiting we had to wait FORTY MORE MINUTES to get our food. My grilled chicken was raw in the middle (how does that happen?) and like a previous Yelper stated my dates steak was over done and dry. I have never went back!

The steaks aren't bad at all but the service is utterly abysmal. After about 40 min when our food hadn't yet arrived, I asked the server when it was coming. "It's still cooking" he said. No apology or attempt to improve the service- and the food was lukewarm.

Came here with another buddy for dinner. We sat at the bar so we did not have to wait. Service was uber-slow, but the server was really friendly. Food took nearly 30 minutes to come out. I ordered the rib-eye and ribs, but my rib-eye magically turned into a sirloin! I let the server know and the manager adjusted my bill accordingly. I so wanted a rib-eye, oh well!

I had the pleasure of passing through Montgomery a few weeks ago and thought some steak was in order. The portions here were generous and the prices were quite cheap. We had a 15-person party and got seated within 10 minutes of arriving at dinner time on a week night. We had just enough time to catch a happy hour margarita at the bar. =) My friend's sirloin was a little overcooked but people were happy with everything else. I can't say this was a spectacular meal but it was tasty, filling and easy on the wallet.

Horrible........................... Waited an HOUR to be Seated but decided on Take-Out to avoid an even longer wait.. Was told our Food will be done in 20min but after 40min of waiting I approached the Hostess(little girl) to ask what the deal was and she said "um, i taut sumone hewped u aweady?" she was the only person I was dealing with(she also acted like i was bothering her, the nerve) and so she went back and got my food that was COLD from waiting.. I looked over the order and IT WAS WRONG, A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT DISH!!! wtf??? My Receipt even showed what was supposed to be ordered.... I was soo hungry that I just took the hit, I paid for the food that ended up being so bland, it was as if it was cooked in a hurry... they need to get MORE TRAINING OR NEW MANAGEMENT... WORST Texas Roadhouse I have ever been to and I've been to over 20 across the globe!!!! even Guam! If you can stand the wait and lack of knowledge this is your place.. I recommend Applebee's

Went here on a Friday in the middle of the afternoon. Party of 5 grew to party of 9. Our waiter Kenneth was very helpful and responsive. There was an abundance of bread. Our drinks never went empty and the food was very fast. The fried pickles came out with our meals and the manager brought it out apologizing for the confusion and comp'd that item. Great place, great food, good people.

We were travelling and spending the night within a stone's throw of this establishment so we decided to walk over for an early dinner. The place was hopping and there was already a wait. They have those barrels of peanuts so we sat and munched while waiting for a table. A couple of us went to the bar to order drinks for ourselves and our significant others. We were told by the barkeep that he couldn't serve us more than one drink and that our significant others would have to show their faces before he could serve us a drink for them. I have been to watering holes around the world including a few more in Alabama and had never heard of such a requirement but we obliged. By the time we finished with the bar and its silly rules, maybe state law but still silly, our table was ready. We ordered a variety of dishes on the menu from ribs to steaks to burgers. The best dish was the fried pickles. The worst were the burger and the steak which took forever to appear in the first place and had to be sent back because they were overdone... probably why they took forever to appear. The rest of the food was unremarkable, sizable portions of mediocrity. To her credit, our waitress was very friendly and tried to make things as right as they could be but she couldn't cook the food. The locals seem to like this place because it stayed crowded with a lengthy wait the entire time we were there but... we will not return nor try any other in the chain.

I went here last night (Friday) with a group of 14 and had another group of 14 ahead of us when we showed up. I was worried about going here given some of the previous reviews. They did very well. We waited about 40 minutes, which is exactly what they estimated when we showed up. The staff was able to seat us all, serve us all, and get every order perfect the first time and kept rolls and drinks coming non-stop. The orders made it to the table in a very reasonable amount of time on a very busy night. I'm not a big fan of Texas Roadhouse in general but this location is worth a second try if you tried it before and left disappointed.

Worst Texas Roadhouse!!! While living in New York State, Texas Roadhouse was our favorite place to eat. We also tried Roadhouses in 7 different states. The first time we went to this one, my steak was overcooked. I thought it was an accident. Today, I ordered a burger. First of all, this is the first time I've gotten a burger at a Texas Roadhouse that was not cooked on the grill. It was done on the hot plate and it was dry, just like fast food, and with cheap yellow cheese on top. The bread was toasted in a lot of grease. The vegetables that my son had were so overcooked that when you tried to pick a piece of broccoli with the fork, it would disintegrate. The carrots looked like they had been forgotten in the refrigerator for two months (they had a dark crust), then overcooked, just like the broccoli. We waited a long time and the server was at best OK (he did not look happy to be there at all, so it was interesting to read "I love my job" on the back of his shirt.) I'm pretty sure that people who like this place have not tried other Roadhouses. If you are a fan of other Roadhouses and just happen to be in Montgomery, don't waist your money on this one. There are plenty of other restaurants on the same street! At least, please, don't get the burger!!!

I don't recommend this place. Service was super slow. When I finally got my steak it was over done. The manager brought out my replacement steak that was over done as well :-/ This is the worst Texas Roadhouse I have EVER been to.

This place is as others say, THE worst Texas Roadhouse I've ever been to. Consistent slow service, wrong food, wrong cooked steaks, and I just got a hair in my salad after waiting 25 minutes to get it. Avoid this place like the plague!

This place is horrible!!!!!!! My family and I went out for lunch after a graduation that morning. We were all in a great mood the waiter was nice and somewhat attentive to our needs. However, when the steaks arrived to the table my husband realized that his ribeye was not cooked medium as he requested. The waiter took the steak away and a manager arrived with the same plate. So, it has been in three different hands including whomever dissected it in the kitchen. He returned to tell my husband that he could not cook another steak he would have to recook the same steak. That's not what we wanted especially after it has been so many different places in the restaurant. We expressed this to this manager and he went to consult with another manager. Without a greeting he rushed over and said he wouldn't do it because it was an expensive cut of meat and he didn't like throwing a $22 steak away. He was very RUDE and did nothing to fix the problem he only made it worse. If we ordered this "expensive" steak we expected it to be to our liking since we were going to be the ones paying for it. My husband exclaimed that he no longer wanted it and this guy Troy Craig "part-owner" as he pressed threw his hands up and said so you don't want it made some clicking noise and stormed off like a small child. It was the most unprofessional episode I've ever encountered. There was no is there anything else we can get you or I'm sorry about the undercooked steak that was passed around the restaurant before we decided to tell you that we refuse to diffuse the situation. He came back after everyone was dismayed and stunned by his response to the situation and told us that he wasn't going to discount the meal or modify anything for the trouble. He ended up going back and forth with my husband about the situation my husband asked for the check and he kept pressing the situation. This was the worst experience I've ever encountered in a place of business where good service is the key to a profitable and successful establishment. I will never patronize this establishment again. You would think that since the food is not that great the service would be astounding. I hate we had to spend our money to be mistreated and fussed at. There are many steak restaurant in the Montgomery area, so look for those. I wouldn't recommend this place if I was paid to do so. HORRIBLE!!!!

Came here for lunch on a Sunday. Luckily, we beat the church crowd, so we got our food relatively quickly. But we noticed that the tables around us who came after didn't get served for a while. The food is pretty much the standard of chain restaurants-- it was okay. The portions were huge. My favorite part is the warmed buttered rolls they give you as soon as you're seated. They also provide shelled peanuts if you're still hungry after devouring your rolls. I shared a combination meal with my to-be-sister-in-law and we were still unable to finish ALL our food. But we both have small appetites, so don't fret if you are still hungry. Just ask the wait staff for more yummy rolls!

My wife and I frequently eat at your Montgomery EastChase location after church, but will NEVER again! I am absolutely appalled at how Lisa Murphy Hale was treated by the manager who just happened to also be the owner's daughter. I'm sure other locations of Texas Roadhouse would agree that this behavior is unacceptable from a company and are probably wonderful restaurants to enjoy. The location at Eastchase Montgomery however is NOT!

fail. i went here for my mom's retirement ceremony and it was a complete disaster. it was a friday night, so we knew it would be busy, but the 30 minute wait for a table they promised us ended up being over an hour and a half. not to mention that when we did get a table, the guests behind us were so loud the waitress messed up our drink order three times. when we told the hostess we were leaving, she said that she not only knew the table was loud and had received complaints, but that they were friends of her's and there was nothing she could do since they hadn't listened to her other requests to keep down. she moved us to the other side of the restaurant because she didn't want to loose our business. unfortunately the group had to split up, the new waitress messed up our order AGAIN, and when we finally got our food it was horrible. the green beans tasted like a salt lick and when we told the waitress she didn't believe they were that bad, until we made her taste them. it was a horrible experience and even if we hadn't had the noise from the loud table and the continuously wrong orders, it still would receive a fail based on the poor food. i vote they re-name the restaurant texas roadkill.

Went on a Friday night, but despite the crowds we were seated pretty fast. Service was great, food came out quickly. The ribs were delicious, fell right off the bone. The only negative thing for me was all the noise between the birthday singing and the music, but I already had a headache to begin with;)

for the price, you receive a lot of food. i prefer the steaks and chicken fingers and really like the cinnamon butter rolls. but, food may be too greasy for "healthy" people. unlike other locations, the service at this location is below average.
