I lived in Mobile for 2 years, and for a city with as many secrets as Mobile has, Queen G's has to be the best kept secret of them all. Absolutely my favorite restaurant in Mobile. Fish and shrimp are always cooked perfectly and seasoned just right. Best oysters in town, I don't care how many signs Wintzells paints to say otherwise. The sides change and they always surprised me at how good such simple food like basic green beans with almonds and garlic can be. Crumbly cornbread and a scoop of ice cream bookend the meal. And the prices are right where they should be. The place is tiny, so be prepared to make friends if there's more than 3 people eating. The covered little patio is lovely, even on a rainy day. The sweet tea is fresh brewed with really good filtered water and cane sugar. Honestly, just go there for lunch. You'll love it.

This is a fun little place with lots of character. The menu changes often and is small. I would classify it as a "meat and three" with a slant toward our local seafood. Everything was fresh and correctly prepared.

I ate there for the first time today. I wasn't disappointed with the fried oyster plate. They were delicious,lightly battered and melted in my mouth. I sure got my money's worth and walked out of there full. They specialize in fresh seafood with a daily change of available side orders. The service was good without being annoying. Granted that the hours are for the lunch crowd only....11AM till 2PM. The decor takes you back to the 1950s Mom & Pop type of local eateries. Linen table cloths,real silver ware not plastic,very good food and pleasant atmosphere. If you're looking for a nice place to have a good lunch I recommend Queen G's. I will return and try some other goody. PS. The family owned business has been there since the 1950s and use to be The Rebel Queen.

Very friendly, quick service. The main dish was tasty, the starter salad was not. The menu is strange in it's descriptions and there isn't much on there. Cute place, though.
