    Worst restaurant in mobile that I have ever ate , service was bad food was cold nothing good about this place that I want to say totally sad :(

    As others have noted, the food is run-of-the-mill and fairly bland. The atmosphere inside is the real attraction, however, it cannot make up for so-so food. I ordered the fish tacos, which our server said was served with grilled fish. I cook, so I know the difference between grilled and pan sauteed. The fish was sauteed and fairly greasy. My wife ordered a Caesar salad to accompany where meal, and the server asked if she wanted the salad before the meal, to which she said yes. The salad arrived after the main course of salmon (which was overcooked and dry, by the way). The server's attitude was almost matter of fact--as if we were a bother to her other duties. This place is pretty but I'll take my dinner money elsewhere in the future.

    The first couple times I went here the food and service was great, however, the past 3 times it has been rough. This past time our waitress couldn't be found for 45 minutes after taking our order. When I asked another waiter for her she came out...with our food. I figured our food has been sitting back there getting cold so I checked it. My wife's chicken was ice cold, my roast was lukewarm. The manager was fairly nice be he looked at the floor our entire interaction and offered to discount our ticket as we didn't have time for a warm up. 1.5 hours had passed from the time we sat down to the time we got our food. I had to share my drink with my wife because her's was empty for 45 minutes.

    Please don't waste your money or time to eat here. Service wasn't good at all. Fish was undercooked, veggies in salad weren't fresh, I don't think they even washed the ingredients for the salad before they prepared it and served it. Cajun pasta was very bland, anything that says iCajun should consist of flavor. Was completely finish with our appetizer before I even was served the sweet tea I ordered. The appetizer said homemade , opening a can of salsa and adding it to cheese sauce doesn't qualify for homemade.

    Went here for lunch to see what the talk was about. This place fills up fast, maybe because it just recently opened. I wasn't too impressed today. The food was bland and service was okay. We had the onion rings appetizer. They were good and hot, but they literally 1 minute before our entree came to the table. When that happens you might as well take the appetizer back. I had the lemon pepper chicken entree that came with two sides. The chicken was very tender and juicy. The sides looked as though they came straight from the frozen section at the grocery store or like food you would get at a cafeteria. My wife had a shrimp dish. Her dish was bland tasting and not worth retrying again. While we were there we saw other people's meal come by. The burgers did look tasty. If I go back, I guess I'll try a burger since the look good appearance wise. Overall, it was just okay. Nice variety on the menu. Don't go here with high expectations.

    I really like Cheddar's. Their buttery croissants with honey glaze are to-die-for. The Sweet Heat Chicken & Shrimp was delicious. Service was prompt and attentive and prices are very reasonable. I try to eat there with my.mom every time I am in town. Each experience has been quite enjoyable.

    The first time I went the drinks were good and the food was good.. But the last two times the drinks were very watered down and he food was ok... I was very dissatisfied with my drink both times..our waitress was very nice , only reason it got two stars

    Really This was a joke Restaurant should close and retrain all staff We got silverware 10 minutes after the appetizers arrived. Out of 9 entrees only 8 came an done of the 8 was not even close to what was ordered Completely unacceptable

    0 stars for the management of this location. The server was over tasked with 4 tables to include a party of 10 and another of 7. 4 of 10 orders incorrect. Burnt food, COLD and late food is unacceptable. Manager Pam NO HELP AT ALL. Still charged me for wrong and uneaten food. Left the server alone to handle already upset customers. Also the manager Pam never returned to finish assisting the party adding an additional 30 minutes to an hour and1/2 wait. Classy........ Please visit if you want to be frustrated, disrespected, dissatisfied, and hungry because the food is burnt, cold, wrong or never arrives. HORRIBLE AND UNPROFESSIONAL BEHAVIOR.... Ugh SMH

    The service and atmosphere are 5-stars. The aquariumin the dining area is always nice and calming to stare at while you wait for your food. My jalapeno burger and the cheese dip were boring. You're better off with the bacon cheeseburger for your value. It's a typical chain but you're guaranteed to have a decent experience here no matter what you do. On the positive side, it's open late!

    I love this restaurant! The place (the interior decor) is very nice and to my surprise their price, alcohol beverages included, is very cheap. The food tastes great too and so are their margaritas. I've been to this restaurant couple of times and I would definitely recommend this restaurant to my friends. It's worth the money!

    Manager needs to be fired his or her staff is terrible. This is my 3rd time here food is always great service is terrible. I just ordered an appetizer came out fast drinks were fast. 25 min later after I had to send for our waitress she shows up and I had to reminder her we hadn't ordered our food yet. Good luck

    This place was terrible. Went here last night for a burger. The burger was ok but the service was terrible. I ask the waitress whats comes on a bacon cheese burger beside cheese and bacon and she couldnt tell me...... she had no idea. Waited 15 minutes for someone to even walk over to our table to take a drink order. we walked in the place and there was a 15 minute wait and there were empty tables as far as the eye could see. The place is dirty, understaffed and needs to hit the reset button. What a shame......

    Decent food, it's not bad but not so great either. The one thing today gets me though is the slow service. They take quite some time to get your order and then to bring it out. I was late back to school once so I was not happy. I guess for those with different taste buds and lots of time and patience it won't be so bad.

    Went for the final time on July 15th.... health rating was in the mid 70's! YES 70's! The employees beyond the hostess acted as if they could have cared less where you wanting to sit at, what you wanted to drink, and what you wanted to eat. Food took FOREVER to get out and it was presented as if they just tossed it on the plate. Then the waiter told me once he brought my food: "I would be careful sir, they don't care how they handle the food in the back.". Apparently I am not the only one noticing the free fall of Cheddar's as even at lunch they appear very light on the size of the crowds.

    This place was on my radar after noticing it during my annual Thanksgiving trip to Mobile 3 years ago. I finally put my foot down and said, "I'm going to eat there this time!" so I brought the mom in. The place is called Cheddar's and I saw that they had a Grown Up Grill Cheese on the menu 3 years ago, so that was my tunnel vision. A place called Cheddar's must rock a grilled cheese! Well, tunnel vision wasn't needed considering there weren't many vegetarian options on the menu, but I don't believe the south is notorious for catering to us (correct me if I am wrong, just going on experience). The Grown Up Grill Cheese even had beef in it, so I had to request that mine be without. Mom got the one with the beef inside. I wasn't too impressed with this sandwich, sadly. I truly, honestly wanted to be and tried, but I just wasn't. The Fried Cheese Melt at Denny's has more flavor than this sandwich. I was tempted to ask for a side of marinara to give it some assistance. My mom said that hers with the loose beef inside was extremely greasy and could only eat one half of hers. The fries were greasy and soggy, thus having absolutely no crunch to them that I enjoy in a restaurant fry. I can do greasy, if they have a crunch. The atmosphere of the place was great and welcoming. Our server, Helena C., was an absolute gem. Loved how friendly and attentive she was. A definite keeper. I would love to give this place a second chance when in town again, but not certain on how high the odds are of that happening considering there are a lot of other places I want to venture to.

    Absolutely terrible. Cannot stress it enough. Service was basically non existent, the food came out slow and then was Ice cold when we finally got it. The manager came, he was no help, didn't comp anything or did anything at all. The chicken was old and dry, my monte cristo didn't come with raspberry preserves like advertised, because they said they couldn't find it. We never got dressing for out salad. Worst doing experience of our lives.

    we USE to drive from Foley to eat here once a week..last week @ lunch the kitchen lost our ticket OR server forgot to put it in..took over an hour to get 3 sandwiches..but we like the menu so well it didn't stop us from going back..last night 08/28/13 leaving my uncles wake I sent my daughter ahead to get us a table for 20..upon arriving the hostess said it would be 45 minutes..1.5 hour later when we had noticed several 6, 8, 12 tops go ahead of us after we said we could split up of course we ask to speak to mgr..the mgr came out to inform us they did not have the staff to accommodate us as I watch 4 servers being cut & walking out..being a server for the past 24 yrs I have never seen or heard of a team being as disorganized & unprofessional as this staff..unfortunately after last night I will never recommend Cheddars to anyone

    I enjoyed this place. Good food, comfortable atmosphere, attentive staff. Four of us went and no one had any complaints and everyone enjoyed their food. The parking lot is a little small but that is the only "complaint" I have.

    OMGOSH! It was awful.. the Nachos..the ULTIMATE Nachos were such a disappointment and then some. I have given this place FOUR chances to get it right no more. If this was THE ONLY place open in Mobile, AL I'd keep driving.

    It was really good. One of the only restaurants that is open late and doesn't mind people walking in around 10 for dinner. Food and service were on point. I've been here twice and will definitely be back.

    Whitney was our server and she was GREAT!! Ask for her!! Co-workers and myself planned to try out the new Cheddar's here in Mobile that opened this month on the 10th. We found out that they do NOT take reservations so we arrived just as they opened at 11:00am. The decor inside was nice and just the right lighting with a large state of the art usual ceiling fan in the center of the room. The fish tank was beautiful too. I have uploaded photos of all the food we had - and here are a few tips. The Shrimp & Chicken was huge with a kick to the shrimp batter. Those buttered croissants were melt in your mouth good and we wish we all had a plate full. The chips and cheese dip was good and you can add ground beef NO extra $. The Mushroom burger did not have the thin mushrooms on it and she took off a few but she said the meat was great along with the bun. The grown up grilled cheese was wonderful. Now those Chicken Fajita Quesadilla was loved by their owner - I wish I had tried her"s. Pear salad did have chicken added and one of those croissants. The lemon grilled chicken came with two huge breasts - her side a bit too salty...which leads me to my Roast meal with carrots and potatoes. The carrots were hard and the potatoes were strange tasting and salty and where was the gravy?? I wish I had tried the Chicken & waffles instead. Of course our mini desserts were yummy and the that Hot Fudge cake sundae HUGE. When we left people were standing all over the place waiting to be seated. It did take time... It is Not a quick in and out for 7 ladies during a work lunch. But I am bringing back the DH soon and I know WHAT I will and will not get the next time!! ( see all uploaded my pics) -GET those buttered croissants no matter what!!!

    The new Cheddars Restaurant at 3748 Airport Boulevard has been open for about three months now and Darrell Farmer and his wife Teresa decided they would try something different other than their favorite Olive Garden Restaurant. This would be the first visit for the Farmer couple to dine at the newly opened Cheddars Restaurant in the Mobile area. As Darrell and Teresa drove into the parking lot the lot was full of cars and it was somewhat hard to find a parking space, this to Darrell was a good sign thinking if the parking lot is packed then the food must be good. The Farmer couple were greeted by employees behind a big desk inside and asked how many was in their party. The Farmers explained that this was their first visit to Cheddars and wanted to look a menu, so the employee gave them a menu, wrote down their name, and gave them an alerting device to inform them it was their time to be seated. When the Farmer couple was seated they were greeted by a waiter shortly after to take their order. The couple ordered the Cornmeal Catfish Lunch Portion for $7.49 with two sides, coleslaw, French fries, water, and a sprite soda. While the Farmers waited on their meal to be served they couldn't help but notice how loud the music was playing , thinking it might have been loud because they were seated in the section on the bar side of the Restaurant. Mr. Farmer asked the waiter if the music was just as loud on the side of the Restaurant away from the bar, and the waiter told him that he thought the music was about the same volume throughout the entire Restaurant. Mr. Farmer politely asked the waiter to see if the volume of the music could be turned down some, and the waiter said he would ask someone in management. Shortly after Mr. Farmer had made the request for the music to be turned down the food was served to the table, and the couple began to eat the Cornmeal Catfish Lunch Portion they had ordered. The Cornmeal Catfish Lunch Portion was four medium size pieces of delicious hot Catfish with a little crunch, the coleslaw was great, and the French fries were nice and hot. The Farmers were pleased with the texture and taste of the Cornmeal Catfish, amazed with the flavor of the coleslaw, and overwhelmed with the taste of the French fries. Over-all on 11/23/12 when the Farmer family visited the newly opened Cheddars Restaurant at 3748 Airport Boulevard, the Farmer couple will give the Cheddars Restaurant a 4 star rating for their dining experience in service received, food preparedness, parking lot size, and employee friendliness. When Mr. Farmer and his spouse Teresa were walking from the bar section where they were seated to exit through the front entrance Mr. Farmer noticed that the music wasn't as loud in that part of the restaurant. Mr. Farmer would have given the newly opened Cheddars Restaurant a 5 star rating if the volume of the music on the bar side of the restaurant would have been turned down a decimal or two. Suggestions to the management of the newly opened Cheddars Restaurant at 3748 Airport Boulevard. 1. Have your employees ask guests if they would like to be seated in the bar area of the restaurant or the area away from the bar section. 2. Figure out how to adjust the volume to a lower level so as the music isn't blaring into your guest ears making it a not so pleasant experience while you are trying to eat, talk, and enjoy conversation with your spouse. 3. Better guest, waiter, and management interaction: When a guest asks a waiter about a matter and the waiter says he will ask the management, the guest don't get a response from the management or the waiter, you have some kinks to work out.     Long time customer. After several months in a row of coming for lunch with my work group I have finally had it - 2 of the 3 salads were brought out and there was another 5-6 minutes of waiting for my salad. I didn't realize salads took 45 minutes to make. There was also a very visible black hair on the chicken. Also, while using the restroom an employee was in the stall next to me and did not wash their hands; the manager said she could not help unless she knew who the employee was. A visit here is not worth it at all. If there was a "no stars" option I would have chosen it.

    I went here with my Husband, Child and Mother In Law right after New Years. We were excited to try a new place, and we had been waiting until the hype died down before we tried it. We got there around 12:30pm and was seated around 1pm. 30 minutes is not too bad of a wait for a new place and we just chatted outside on the benches until our buzzer went off. We were seated at a weird corner angle table, which I did not like, would have much rather had a booth, but that's just my personal preference. INDRIA was our server. She gave us our menus and asked us if we had ever been to Cheddar's before. We told her it was our first time, and then she immediately asked us what appetizer we wanted. We had not even opened our menu at that point. I told her, since this is our first time here we did not know what we wanted. We placed our drink order, 4 waters and 3 CHEDDAR'S long island Ice Teas. When the cocktails came, I took a sip and IMMEDIATELY knew she had given us the Top Shelf, as the Cheddar's version was only $3.95...While the Top Shelf was $8 each. I asked her if these were the "CHEDDAR'S LONG ISLAND ICE TEA" And she said yes, very rudely. She then took another couple's order who were seated right behind us, she was laughing and cutting up with them. She finally got around to asking us if we wanted an appetizer. My mother in law wanted the Spinach Dip. She snatched my mother in law's menu out of her hand and tried to snatch mine, but I grabbed it back and said "We still need our menus, because we haven't ordered our main entrees yet" She Snorted and walked off. 25 minutes later, we got our Spinach Dip that also came with Salsa, which is super hot by the way. I don't mind, but just be aware the salsa is on fire. We decide to get the Steak and Shrimp for the 3 adults and the Chicken Fingers and Fries for the little one. 2 of us order Loaded Baked Potatoes (Just note, their idea of "Loaded" is Cheese and Butter and Sour Cream) No Bacon, No Chives... And my Mother In Law ordered the Steamed Veggies. She then asked me if I wanted a refill on my water and before I could reply she was walking away. .... HORRIBLE SERVICE so far. NO SMILE, NO SUGGESTIONS, NOTHING BUT ATTITUDE. When we were ordering our steaks, I CLEARLY asked for mine Medium, and my husband and mother in law asked for the same. Then I asked her to repeat the order and she says WELL DONE...to which I reply, I am sure I said Medium, Maam.. and she says I did not, then my Husband and Mother In Law pipe in and tell her YES WE DID. Finally, the food came out, the steaks were cooked well and were hot. The baked Potatoes however were so cold and hard the butter and cheese would NOT melt. I took the potatoes off and told her we wanted new ones and not these just reheated. I also asked for Steak Sauce for my mother in law. It took her 19 minutes to bring back the potatoes and steak sauce. By then, my mother in law had flagged down the GM and told him how long she was taking with everything. We were seated at 1pm and got the check at 3:55pm. To top it off, when the bill came, she charged us for Top Shelf Long Island Ice Teas, which I specifically asked her about and she LIED to us, making our bill an extra $55 than what it would have been. INDRIA is a BITCH and should not be in the service industry. I have called and complained on her to no avail. They seriously don't care. Also, she said she was actively sick while she was serving us, because my husband straight up asked her what her damn problem was. SICK SERVERS... Ugh too bad I didn't find this information out until he told me a few days later. She got exactly a $1 tip on a $99.00 bill. I hope she got the MESSAGE.

    We stopped at Cheddars on Airport Road for lunch about 11:30 this morning. My wife had a Caesar salad and chicken tortilla soup. I had a grilled chicken wrap and chicken tortilla soup, and our 22 year-old son had the chicken waffle. The last was by far the best item we had. The chicken was delicious. My wife liked the soup but it was much "heartier" than I prefer. The Caesar salad had, maybe, twice as much dressing as necessary. Order the dressing on the side unless you like a little salad with your dressing. My wrap was good but nothing I couldn't get at Zaxby's or somewhere similar.
