I drive all the way from Decatur to get my wings and tenders from Tenders! They have the best wings and chicken tenders in the Huntsville metro area! I wish they'd open one here. I usually get the wings and tenders combo. That comes with 4 wings and 3 tenders, crinkle fries, texas toast, tenders original sauce and a choice of blue cheese or ranch and celery. The plates don't come with drinks, but that doesn't bother me, I prefer a cup of water. I normally order my wings crispy and have not had an issue. The one time I did, years ago, I contacted them via website and the owner called me and resolved the issue. The bathrooms are clean, the restaurants are clean, and the staff are efficient. They get a good lunch rush during the week. Try to hit it right around 11am or around 1pm to avoid the crowd. They have tvs in the dining area. I could do without those, but it's ok. The prices have steadily gone up..which I don't like. But the chicken tenders aren't frozen so I'll give them that. They do offer a couple of salads, I've not tried. Their sweet and unsweet tea is not bad. They keep the urns clean, so no sour tea there. They don't offer a kid menu, so you might want to share or get them a snack until you are more familiar with the menu. I believe they offer catering as well as take out and drive thru.

I really enjoy the chicken and texas toast here. It tastes great. Price is fair, about $8 for lunch.

There is much room for improvement. The cashier was Mr. T and pity da foo that tries to get hot chicken and fries. The meal is greasy and is awful enough to make fast food burgers sound appetizing. The atmosphere was uncomfortable as sneering bums lounge around with their feet on the seats. The TV has overrated sports shows blaring with angry commentators blowing off steam. Any lunch decision is better than giving this place a try again.

I've eaten at many chicken tender restaurants over the years and Tenders is at the bottom of the list. The tenders are small and the sauce tastes a little funny to me. Not what I expect from a chicken tender place.

Went there for the first time recently with my husband. All the food was pretty good. I had the fried chicken tenders and my husband got the wings. And the prices were reasonable. We ate in...they have counter service there and then bring the food to the table. It was not busy, but we had to wait a little while to get our food. Also they have a really limited menu. We do plan to go back again...

Well, I have something to compare to Slim Chicken's in Arkansas now. Chicken Tenders has some decent food, their chicken tenders are moist and tasty and the hot sauce on the side isn't too hot. Their slaw was okay and their fries were tasty. My friend and I were the first customers of the day (they open at 10:30 a.m.) so the place was empty. The interior is kind of bland with two televisions tuned into ESPN and college football helmets from the SEC sitting on shelves along the wall. I will give Slim Chickens the nod for a cool, rustic look along with their blues music. Prices were decent..got four Tenders/meal for $7 including iced tea.

The tenders are good and I like the sauce a lot better than Zaxbys sauce. I also like the fact that they cook them to order so don't expect fast food service. My only complaint is that the menu is super limited.
