Non descript Mexican Restaurant located in the Wal-Mart shopping center, on Madison Boulevard. We ate there a few years back and it was OK. Decided to stop by again since they have added a Monday through Friday lunch buffet. How can you go wrong for $8.50 per person? The food was actually pretty decent and the chicken and ground beef used to make your own Taco's was pretty darn good, but lacked in flavor/spices... Albeit I prefer the shredded beef vice the ground beef for Taco's buy hey it's a buffet. I also had a great stuffed green chili loaded with cheese and chopped jalapenos. The Pico de Gallo was awesome as well as the endless guacamole. I rated it A-OK but it could be Yay! I'm a fan with a bit of work on the part of the kitchen. Service was very good though. Overall, for a buffet I was very satisfied with the food and the service. I certainly will return for the lunch buffet again.

I had my dinner at the bar and the food was average for Mexican. Part of my view was looking into the kitchen at the guy washing dishes. I have an issue with this as you will too. His 1st step in washing dishes is to scrape off food with his bare hands into the trash can. Step 2- load dishes in washer. Step 3- wipe off hands with rag and grab clean plates on the other side and put away. Problem- his hands are not clean!

Stopped in here for the first time tonight. Not very crowded so got seated right away. Typical Mexican restraint decor. Got the expected chips and salsa and then a fast and friendly waiter. The chips seemed fresh and the salsa had more body to it than I've seen in a lot of places. I ordered the steak fajita and was quite pleased with it. Good ratio of steak to veggies, nice flavor and actually enough tortillas to finish it all off. Beans and rice on the side were good but nothing special. I'd go back again.

My husband and I love this restaurant. The food is simple but delicious! The salsa is fresh and the staff is very kind. Chicken enchiladas are very pleasing.

Flavor is ok but way too much cilantro in the guacamole. Buffet is small and taco beef is always floating in oil. Otherwise not too bad

The service here was really great. Came in a big group and the waitstaff was friendly and helpful. The chips and salsa were fresh, warm, and bottomless! Delicious! My entree (carne asada tacos) however, was kind of boring. The pico was a little wilted and the steak was just okay. I didn't get it, but the lunch buffet looked pretty suspect...

Ate here yesterday and had a lunch combo of a burrito, enchilada and a taco, all with ground beef, and all were terrible. The enchilada sauce was too tomato-ey, and the beef tasted like the 'taco' meat I remember eating in grade school. Food was cheap, but apparently for a reason. Skip this one, yelpers.

We love coming here. The food is good, the staff is friendly. They serve orange slices on the margaritas which I like.

Typical Mexican food. Had the Taco Salad lunch special which includes a drink. It was just OK. My rating is mostly based on the service. When the waiter brought us the menus, he asked if we were ready to order. I replied, "No, we haven't been here before." We both requested water while we looked over the menu. When we ordered, I requested a coke which I didn't get until after we snacked on the chips & dip, got our food, and then finally got the waiter's attention to request it again. Sadly, it wasn't busy. There was no excuse for the little attention that we received.

It wasn't that good. the casadilla tasted like chicken was cooked and refrigerated for a while. There are plenty of better Mexican restaurants in the area.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
