First let's start with the good. I picked here because of the convenient drive through. I was given the choice of mild, spicy, or white sauce. The sauce was in a 4 ounce container and was wonderfully flavorful (the spicy) and plenty of it. The baked beans tasted good. The white meat of the pork was very good. And now for the not-so-good. The prices are a couple dollars more than any other BBQ plate I've had in town. (I noticed the stuffed potato was comparably priced.) First impressions mean everything, and when I opened the container... What a let down. I like to see my meat and sides and smile at the looks of it. Here, the sides are prepackaged in containers. See photo. There's only 1 other place around I've seen do that (in Madison), and I dislike it so much I've never been back. The meat looked excellent - big chuncks of beautiful meat. But wait! Under those beautiful pieces was nasty looking tiny pieces of dark meat. If it were all mixed up, that'd be fine with me, but the way the good pieces were strategically placed made me feel like they were being sneaky. The baked beans tasted good, but tasted like the old pork and beans out of a can, jazzed up a notch or two. The temperature was luke warm. [I've deleted the rest of this review.]

These guys need to send someone to Texas to see what a real BBq sandwich looks like. I should be able to get lunch for around 8 bucks based on my other options, BBQ is not lobster ok guys. The fact is I ordered a Smoked Turkey sandwich, fries and a drink. Cost right at 10 bucks. The problem is the sandwich is about half the size of what most places in the state of Texas will give you for 2 dollars less. But take out the Texas equation, I still should be able to get a comparable meal pricewise for lunch relative to other ffood restaurants in the area. The bbq sandwich you get from Teds is the size of a regular cheeseburger from McDonalds. Sorry, I can go across the street to Logans and pay the same and get a lot more food.

My fav BBQ place! Literally everything I eat is here is delicious! Tamales are good too. :) Tea is expensive if you want to buy a gallon, but it's still tasty. I adore the meats and the Mac and cheese. Not a lot of seating, but they now have indoor and outdoor available. Not great for parties however.

Great Mac and cheese. Had the pulled pork it was on the dry side had to soak in red BBQ which claims to be home made and was very good. White sauce too vinegary for my taste. Hard to get refill during peek times due to the way you order your food. Would try them again but order something else.

Staff is very friendly Food is good but nothing special. I had chicken sandwich with spicy bbq sauce, fries and green beans and drink; just under $10. Green beans were ok and the portion size surprised me, more than I thought. Sandwich portion size was small and so were fries. Bbq sauce was not spicy at all. I might go back but with other bbq options available in the area I'll probably go so place else

I stopped here once back when they first opened and was not impressed. After all this time I decided to give them another try and my opinion of them has definitely gone up! My pulled pork sandwich was moist and tasty, the sides were very good and the hot tamales I ordered were excellent. My only complaint was the sandwich could have used more barbecue sauce, as I could hardly taste it. Otherwise I was very pleased and will have to go back again.

Just say no! This town has some good BBQ, but Ted's has some improvements to make. The positive is that the place is very clean, and the service was very friendly and quick. The health rating was 99%. Excellent. Here's the problem- the ribs were tough and hard to get off the bone. The dry rub was so spicy that it made me cough incessantly. This was without the mild or hot sauce. The cole slaw and potato salads were uninspired. I was going to keep the leftovers for later, but my stomach gurgled for hours after just one rib, so I threw the rest away. My dining companion had the pork sandwich, which I did not try, but he said he would not order it again. He said it didn't measure up to Moe's or Lowry's. We had high hopes for the jalapeno cornbread, but I couldn't taste much of the japaneno. It was fluffy but not that exciting. There's hope for Ted's, but only if they make their ribs with a more reasonable amout of rub and more 'falling off the bone' and less 'getting stuck in your teeth'.

I just called to place a pick up order and was told "We close at 8" and hung up on. Their official website and all other online sources says they close at 9 on Saturday. I'm not sure why they picked up the phone when you are "closed". Hmmm...

I have been to Ted's at the 5 corners and the University location, both are absolutely outstanding. The staff is amazing, the food is crazy good, and the prices are reasonable for the high quality you get. Amazing BBQ, but it's not just the meats that are good, the sides are all amazing (get the Mac and cheese for sure!).

I'm not really sure why people are complaining about this place. My boyfriend and I absolutely love it! We always get bbq pork sandwiches (with the coleslaw) and bbq beans and macaroni and cheese. The price is right for this hole in the wall. We look forward to trying their ribs next. They also do have indoor seating, and if you need a restroom you may enter the Mexican restaurant next door. It is small for now, but we enjoy it just the way it is.

Last night, I was traveling through Huntsville and was in need of some bbq. On a whim, I decided to try Ted's. I was a bit wary of an earlier review on the ribs, but I decided to go for them anyway. Boy was that a great decision. The meat was falling off the bone, and the flavor was wonderfully balanced. It didn't need the sauces (and although I really like the spicy sauce, I don't think either sauce would have worked very well with the ribs anyway). The potato salad was middle of the road, but the meat was the star, and the people who worked there were definitely having a good time. I was rather impressed with the food, but for the whole shebang (eat-in, good meat, good sides) perhaps there are other places. Still, if you are in the area and in need of some good bbq, I'd highly recommend Ted's.

Had the urge for some BBQ lunch so popped in. I was surprised, there is no sit in tables, or restrooms. It is mainly a to-go place, but there are several metal garden tables outside where you can sit and eat your BBQ, and you can use the restrooms next door in Phil Sandovals Mexican restaurant. I got the Beef Brisket platter, OK, but disappointed that it was "Pulled Beef Brisket", rather than slices. But it tasted good (only about 10% as good as the Chuck Wagon, which I went to the day after here, but the Chuck Wagon is in a different league of BBQ). Jalapeño cornbread muffins were good, but I prefer more solid gritty-corn bread, it was quite soft and muffiny. Overall, I give it 4 stars as it's a good lunch option

The place is small, not really for dining-in, but more like for drive-thru and take-outs. Their BBQ's pork is fairly good, but I come here for their made-in-heaven Brunswick Stew and Jalapeño Cornbread. By the way, this is also a David Martin restaurant, so they are closed on Sundays.

Good BBQ with friendly staff. Not a whole lot of room to sit, and they focus on take out and drive through but have enough tables if you need to sit for a bit. My wife and daughter enjoyed their BBQ stuffed baked potatoes. I liked the sandwich, which was made with cole slaw. Also, the green beans were rather tasty, compared to most placed that just heat them up.
