I think the problem here is they are doing way too many different things. I got the chicken quesadilla, which shouldn't be too hard to mess up, but it was really not all that. After I finished it I thought to my self, "Hmm, well I still have chips and salsa. Surely that will be better." I was wrong. Not even that was good.

I had the Bleu burger which was excellent. The atmosphere is great with several TVs playing sports channels. It is about the same price as a McDonald's but in a whole different league.

The food is delicious, and the service fast. However, the chicken wrap had the same innards as the quesadilla, which is identical to the chicken salad. Not creative. The Shaggy Taco Sauce on the table was also lacking in fire and spunk, not worthy of the company brand. Good place to grab a bite, but certainly did not impress.

Despite the "frozen" roads and snow here in Huntsville, a co-worker and I got to finally try this place out. Boy! Was it crowded! Don't know if that was because so many other places were shut down due to the "ice storm" or it's really becoming that popular. We had a 2-3 minute wait in line to place our order. It wasn't too bad a wait as there are lots of TV's on the walls and there are menus to pick up and review when you first walk in. When you finally get to the front and place your order, you're given your drinks (not empty cups, but filled cups) and are given a pager (a la Little Rosies). Like I said before, the place was packed so we were getting ours to-go. There was barely any time to look around before our food was ready. I did notice that the ice/condiment station is facing the food pick-up window and if you want a refill on your beverage, you will have to go back to the order window. I don't understand why you would have a huge ice making machine near the condiments and no soda taps! I guess the owners are trying to save some money by not allowing patrons to suckle at the soda teat for hours. Bad traffic flow aside (including the unusually sized and shaped parking lot), the food was pretty good. I had a chicken fajita wrap and despite the cold temps, by the time I got back to my office on Wynn Dr, the food was still hot. Chips and salsa look just like Rosies, though the salsa was spicier (better in my opinion). My coworker said her salsa was pretty mild. My wrap was great and I think it included "Shaggy Sauce". A little spicy and very flavorful. Hot sauces were available in the restaurant at the condiment station (Cholula, Tabasco, and another I think). Prices are about what you'd expect at Little Rosies. I had a $10 gift card and tried hard to spend the whole thing. Even with drink, my Fajita wrap with chips/salsa and a drink cost $8 +change. The most expensive item on the menu was the bacon cheeseburger with mixed fries at $7.29. Drinks aren't included with the combos, but a 20 oz. soda is only $1.39. Compare that to $2.50 in most restaurants, plus refills are free here. As far as the portion-to-price complaints, I just don't get it. I got a delicious meal for under ten dollars and was quite satisfied. Perhaps people are getting spoiled by $5 triple Angus Whoppers and Double Big Macs? I'm eager to return now and see how "bad" their burgers are. I've never had sweet potato fries either, so that'll be something new to try. I have to admit, for a place that sells burgers AND tacos, it's a shame there weren't any combos with both items. How about a burger/taco combo?

Has become my favorite breakfast location. The sausage and egg quesadilla is excellent. Great omelette. Cheese hash browns are divine.

We visited this new restaurant for the first time a few days ago. It was a little pricey. The meals do not include drinks. The atmosphere is nice. There's several TVs around the restaurant to watch. One thing that both my wife and I were annoyed by were the noise the metal chairs made when they were dragged across the floor. It was quite irritating. I got a grilled chicken wrap that was really good. Kids meals were a little expensive ($3.99 a piece) and they did not come with as much food as other restaurants give you. I'll probably go back to Shaggy's, but it won't be a place I frequent.

Most definitely not the best burger place I have ever gone to, the decor is pretty nice, the service is pretty fast actually, but that isn't all that look for in a burger place... is it obviously the food. The burgers are overpriced for what they are and it's not fresh meat, on top of that I tried the mixed fries and that is not exactly the best combination in the world... regular potatoes with sweet potatoes, what are they thinking... It did not help that the regular french fries were nice and crisp and sweet potato fries were a little bit mushy and tasted a little older, on top of that they were bland. I went there during lunch time and I think the only reason why they are still open is because it is next to some big businesses over there in town and they aren't looking around for other places to eat... if you are looking for a Good burger to eat, this is definitely not the place I would recommend.

I've eaten at shaggy's several times (quesadilla, burgers). It's good food but I always find it just average, not exciting. They have outdoor seating which is a plus and seems to be less busy than other restaurants in the area, for a weekend dinner at least (I would assume it's much busier at lunch because of the area). Most recently I had the chicken tacos and they were very tasty, it comes with 2 tacos, chips and salsa. I'm not a huge fan of the salsa and wish they had some other options (like Roasted Salsa a la Little Rosie's). It's a pretty good option if your dining party wants two different things, like tacos and chili dogs (which are also very tasty). Oh and I do like the mixed fries-white and sweet potatoes.

I expected a lot from this place, just because of its David Martin / Right Ways Restaurants lineage...particularly since this restaurant opened up about 6 months behind schedule. BUT I guess I shouldn't have, b/c it's just not very good. Portions are small, prices are high (for what you get), and it was really pretty bland. I'm totally disappointed, and won't be back.

Shaggy's is a decent place for a variety of food options. You can go chicken tenders, hot dogs, burgers, or opt for one of their Mexican dishes. The setup is similar to Little Rosies. Food is good, nothing fancy or special. Wait in line can be a pain, in addition to seating.

Since I was in the area I decided to give Shaggys a try. First tip would be that you do have to go all the way around the building to get to the drive through...no biggie just wanted to point that out. The line was very long maybe 6 cars ahead of me and I almost just went on out but surprisingly the line moved very quickly. I ordered I think the basic "#1" burger with fried but I guess I didnt read the fine print because I had to pay extra for a coke. The burger was large and the meat was fresh but honestly it tasted like a Sonic burger to me. The fries were a bit different since they were a mix of plain potatoes and sweet potatoes they were probably the best part. Over all there are better place in town to get a burger.

My family and I decided to try out the new "chain" tonight--and what a surprise to find out it's not a chain -YET. I had the grilled chicken wrap and some stolen "mixed" fries off my husband's plate and loved EVERY bite. He had a double burger and loved it. My teenage (read "hard to please") daughter had the chicken tenders and mixed fries and loved them (except the sweet potato fries which I ate). We thought the prices were great. The server behind the counter and the pick up window were super nice and pleasant. Sure, you have to go get your food, but not big deal. We'll CERTAINLY go back, even if we weren't treated to free food or drink (unlike "Caleb W.)! Bravo David Martin....it's another Steak Out for you. I wonder if we can buy some stock in this place?!
