A lovely little gourmet cafe that puts thought and care into their menu items. The variety of salads and noon-time sandwich offerings, plus the daily special (s) are a welcome treat. I especially love the chicken salad and the green bean salad, and be sure to save room for one of the delicious cobblers -- peach or blackberry. Lyn's also has a good variety of beer and hard ciders. There's a nice little patio to enjoy your meal - I highly recommend Lyn's.

Do you like southern lady lunch spots? Well, this is it. Any kind of 'salad' you can think of is served here, from chicken to broccoli to egg to pasta...and while I picked one of the sampler plates-nothing really stood out to me in terms of flavor although they all seemed fresh. I had to add my own seasoning when I got home. Also, hate to say it- but this place does not have the friendliest servers/counter girls. What happened to southern hospitality? The only person who smiled at me the entire time was some lady offering samples of wine from the old bottles she was trying to get off the shelves.

A friend offered to bring me back lunch as they were heading out to Lyn's Gracious Goodness. I had never eaten there before so I told her to bring me back what she gets. Which for me is fairly surprising as I can be a picky eater. In hesitation she showed me the menu and I went with what she normally orders after reviewing the menu. Chicken Salad & Deviled Eggs. I'm not the biggest celery fan but have become accustomed to it in Chicken Salads made outside of my own home lol If you like celery you'll LOVE this salad, it is full of it and chunks of chicken (big but bite sized big lol) I'm not a mixed greens kind of girl either so there were a few too many on the bottom but they didn't deter from the flavor of the salad at all! The deviled eggs were to die for! I typically don't like many people's deviled eggs other than my Mom's but these almost melted in your mouth! And they gave you plenty of crackers and a variety of them too! Their website lynskitchen.com describes the food as "Southern food with a touch of something special" and I would have to agree!

One of my favorite places for lunch! The chicken salad sandwich is one of my favorites! The broccoli salad is also amazing! The mint tea is also very good. They are quick and polite. I have to get food to go a lot and Lyn's is very fresh and high quality for as fast as they push out food.

I have had some pretty good eats here, such as the tenderloin sandwich and the mint tea (and I'm not a tea person, yet I'm a southerner, go figure). The layout of the restaurant is a little quirky, and I think it adds a little charm to the place. Though I've unfortunately not had the best of service here. On more than one occasion, I've come in with the intention of a certain thing to order, though I'd have to deal with their decision to change operating hours for that day. Also, I once had ordered a particular sandwich, then was told that their cook had just left, so I needed to change my order to something that didn't need the grill. And each time I park there, I worry that my car will wind up smashed by someone in that crazy parking lot.

Worst chicken salad sandwich I've ever had. Very bland, On plain wheat bread. I make a better one at home. Don't bother going here.

Lyn's is one of my staple restaurants in Huntsville. I know I can always count on them for a quick and easy lunch. My favorite is the Tomato Basil Panini with the Basil Buttermilk. Also, the patio is fantastic for days when the weather is beautiful. The wine selection is superb and the staff is well versed not only on the menu but the wines as well. Certainly a spot to stop by for lunch or dinner to go. Don't forget about their catering opportunities too!

I LOVE the Mediterranean Chicken Salad, the tortellini chicken salad and the classic chicken salad...get the Menage a Trios and have all three!! Very reasonable for that amount of chicken salad...especially since its the best!

Whoever told me this place was good, I hate you. For starters, as a first timer, I had no clue what to do upon entering. No hostess, no visible counter, just some tables in a small room. Hidden around the corner I found a counter with a young girl behind it just staring at me. There were various dishes behind the glass counter she stood over. None labeled and there was no menu displayed. (Was this all they offered I thought to myself.) But then I saw a few gross, laminate menus laying on the countertop. After looking over one briefly (since I was put on the spot) I ordered the $8 Reuben expecting it to come with at least 1 side. Nope, sides and a drink cost extra. Well, the chip selection was crap, so I ordered some fruit. Gave $10 to the cashier lady and she said they'd bring my sandwich out to me. Ate my fruit while waiting for the Reuben. The fruit was good, but it's hard to mess up fruit. Received my reuben after 5 min and took a bite. I found it to be shallow and pedantic. Definitely not worth $8. I left hungry and mad. I was also the only guy in there. This place is for old ladies. If you're a guy, definitely don't waste your money on this place.

A local cafe that offers good food, the kind of food that you can tell the chef has put a lot thoughts into it. I'd describe it as the gourmet-comfort food. You can either dine in (small eating area) or take out.

Wish I could give SIX STARS! Recently contacted Lyn's re their catering a casual business lunch for 75-100 attendees. What they delivered exceeded all expectations!!! Catered business casual is not an easy bill to fill but, they hit the nail on the head! Substantial but not stuffy, fresh but not fussy, casual but not compromised... The owner and i spoke twice by phone. She was sensitive to a reasonable but not outlandish budget and able to recommend and deliver the ideal menu - right down to the cups, napkins, and even the ice! (and in a perfectly timed fashion!!!) Many options today for this type of luncheon - If you wish to stray away from the typical, reliably ordinary chain option, i highly recommend this local establishment- PS MORE than enough food was delivered but bc attendees came back for seconds... and even thirds... hardly a crumb was left! Now that speaks volumes!

I've gone to Lyn's frequently over the past few years, and it is one of my favorite lunch spots. It's great to be able to get deviled eggs, strawberry pretzel salad, mint tea and other Southern favorites in a locally-owned restaurant that's quick and convenient. I will say that the food can be a bit inconsistent: sometimes the cucumber salad has dill, sometimes not; sometimes the pimento cheese is zesty, sometimes mild. And things can be a bit more salty than I prefer, especially the entrees to go. Lastly, it is a bit pricey given the portion size and the middling quality of a few of the ingredients (e.g., gummy whole wheat bread for sandwiches). But, overall, it's a great place to get southern lunch fare, and the vegetable plate in the summer can't be beat!
