Great little Mexican joint. Nothing fancy, but perfect for a good fix when you're in the mood. Definitely get the chips and salsa - 3 types of salsa, and you can try all of them. I had the chicken burrito, and my girlfriend had the chicken fajita wrap. I was definitely please, and her wrap was amazing.

Stopped by while briefly visiting Huntsville and was so impressed by this little place! Service was outstanding... very quick & great quality! Chicken taco salad was HUGE for what I paid and delicious. Lots of flavor & just enough spice. The chicken fajita wrap was very good and I really enjoyed the Mexican ranch dip. The cheese dip was very different than typical Mexican queso and we loved it! The portions were so much more than what we expected for what we paid! Wish this place existed where I live!

Little Rosie's is absolutely the place to go when I am wanting a spicy breakfast. Scrambled eggs, grilled chicken, cheese, sour cream, Pico de gallo on a soft tortilla, pressed and cut quesadilla-style, now that is hard to beat! Come on out to Little Rosie's and have the number 16, chicken or beef today!

Little Rosie's is fresh and delicious. When I'm in Huntsville I try to grab a bite here as often as possible.

Best TexMex outside Texas. They put chips and salsa on the table at no charge. The fajitas are quite good, but I only get the chicken. The beef fajitas my wife has gotten are often very tough. The chicken taco salad is excellent.

The food didn't kill us, but was pretty awful. No real flavors... It's an unfortunate product of trying to cater to southern white folks who think Mexican food is cheese dip made from velveta and other things that Taco Bell serves. Got to casa Blanca for great authentic Mexican food.

Worse mexican food I have ever had. I do not see how everyone in the city of Huntsville loves it. I can make better mexican food at home for the same price or if not cheaper. I call places like this Taco Bell 2.0 which it is the truth. You wait 30 minutes for a table to eat your food, which for me is never made to how I want it anyhow. They always mess my order up when I go.

Two-and-a-half stars seems fair, but I'm rounding down because nothing left me wanting to round up. It's so generic and mediocre. I guess I didn't do my research, because I expected a good, at least mildly authentic, hole in the wall Mexican fast food place. Instead, I got the McDonalds of Mexican food - boring, bland, and full of people who massively put quantity ahead of quality. The people are friendly, so that's a perk. Food wise, I got a beef enchilada, chicken soft taco, rice and beans, and chips/salsa. It took longer than fast food to come out, but I'm not sure why, because nothing was freshly made in the slightest. Everything lacked flavor. The enchilada was probably best, and the taco behind it, but neither wowed me. The ground beef was fine, but the chicken seemed to be of lower quality than I expected. The rice and refried beans seemed bagged and canned, respectively, with not the slightest hint of any effort beyond reheating. The salsas were boring, with the best being the roasted salsa. The plain salsa did not seem like much more than diced tomatoes, unfortunately. The place was clean and, as mentioned, service friendly. However, I left wishing I had gone to some other fast food place closer to my hotel. Sigh...

i love little rosie's! It has some issues and it's probably not very authentic but I'll forgive them since they have a salsa bar! the good: roasted salsa, chicken pocket tacos, they offer wheat toritillas as an option and breakfast! the not so good: watery taco salads, stupid lay-out, often very crowded, loud.

Great food!!! It's a bit out of the way for us since we live in East Limestone but well worth the drive. I had the fajitas chicken wrap, it comes loaded with grilled chicken, cheese, and jalapeno peppers all wrapped in a fresh tortilla and grilled to perfection, it has lettuce, sour cream and pico de gallo on the side. Also had a small order of their white queso and freshly made chips(Awesome) and all the salsa you can eat from their salsa bar. The tea is good ole southern sweet tea the way it was meant to be made SWEET!!! Great food will be back!!

I love Mexican food and I am an easy customer-- but this place didn't work for me. It was like the McDonald's of mexican restaurants. It was very noisy, self service, the food was mediocre at best. The atmosphere was crowded, noisy and generally uninteresting. I wouldn't recommend it -- or eat here again.

I've eaten at most of the Rosie's restaurants in Huntsville. This is the worst. I love Rosie's, but Little Rosie's just isn't the same. I've eaten here 10-15 times (my in-laws love it), tried many different dishes, but can't find anything that is better than mediocre. My "favorite" dish is essentially a soft taco with sliced turkey in it...something I could make from home. The atmosphere is loud and cramped. This starts in the parking lot, flows to the drink machine and trash can, and ends with the close tables. I'm not generally a yelp rater that dislikes places, but this place just isn't for me.

Always delicious. I get the #4 Chicken Fajita wrap with extra sauce on the side and its always delicious. They have really great quesadillas - I like the spinach veggie one! Also their trio of salsas are delicious. White or yellow queso is always delicious. They also have such a great breakfast! I love their orange or banana nut muffins warmed. Come here, you won't be disappointed!

Best. Queso. Ever. Just sayin' :) We always get the queso blanco for the nachos whenever we go here, I just wish they sold it in bottles so I could have it for nachos at home, too! And the enchiladas? Oh my GAWD, the enchiladas. I love the chicken enchiladas, and you can substitute the sauce for any sauce you want, so I always top those bad boys with... queso blanco. He he. Best Mexican in Huntsville. (but then again, it IS Huntsville so it's not like the restaurant selection is very large) I'll miss this joint when we move.

Great service great food. They are also good for big parties.

The local favorite for Tex Mex fast food. Service is speedy and friendly. Everything is good, but the crispy chicken tacos with rice and beans is my go-to. Chips and salsa are included. If you're feeling adventurous, try the Mexican Lasagna. They also serve beer and margaritas.

  • Shar H.

Some of the best salsa in Huntsville. The spinach enchiladas are very good and it has a nice atmosphere. It can be a tight squeeze during peak hours, but that speaks to the popularity of Little R's. They also have a fantastic breakfast menu. The cheese and egg soft tacos are tasty and again, the salsa!

Little Rosie's is our favorite restaurant. They gave a nice choice of meals and great prices. They offer veggie beans and rice, which are sometimes hard to come by. They have the best drive thru I've been to and have yet to get an order wrong. It can be hard to find a seat during the week at lunch and on Friday nights, but it's worth the hassle. We prefer this location to the Big Rosie's and hope they open additional locations and start serving meals on Sundays.

I loved this place. A friend took me there soon after I moved to Huntsville. VERY fresh food, fast service, and ample seating. I only gave it 4/5 stars because it wasn't anything "out of this world" but I will certainly be back!

  • Faye B.

I love this business! It's so very friendly and personable! The food is delicious! They can take a lot for you and they will always work to make your order special if you have any problems. I also like the atmosphere and pretty much all of the food. It is a little pricey for a more fast food like service, but definitely great food.

My boyfriend has been fantasizing about breakfast tacos for years and wanting to introduce me to the wonderment. He found this place and took me last weekend for tacos before we hit up the Air & Space Museum on a rainy day. Holy soccer mom meet up. This is definitely a spot for the blue bloods to meet up and talk about the upcoming PTA fundraisers and Booster Club activities. Not that I'm complaining - it was kind of fun to see the HSV elite rubbing elbows over breakfast tacos. I ordered the breakfast taco with chicken fajita meat, eggs, avocado and cheese - it was a hit - the meat was tender, the avocado creamy and it was really the perfect breakfast. I ventured to try the coffee and although the accompaniments are limited - the 100% colombian was smooth and dark- just how I like it. The spanish potatoes are a total miss - greasy, no browning on them, with greasy bits of pepper and onion - too small a dice, not enough crunch. Pass on those. Z had two of the chorizo breakfast tacos - and from the dribble of bright red grease on his chin, I could see he was in heaven. The chorizo was spicy, the eggs fluffy, and he was a happy happy camper. NO doubt we'll be back here for morning fuel...

Little Rosie's is one of my favorite restaurants in the Heart of the Valley. I, too, prefer it over Rosie's. I tend to get their chicken fajita soft tacos, but sometimes mix it up and go with steak. Mmmmm! Their chips and salsa is also really good and they serve beer. They have a drive-thru, but I don't really consider this place a "fast food" restaurant. It's very clean and nice inside. The dining area is equipped with TVs and a self-serve salsa/fountain drink station. There's also a big fountain that helps provide good ambiance. (Note: they removed this fountain a long time ago and hung up a TV in the corner. Does anyone else remember this fountain? It was a beautiful fountain) This fine establishment has never disappointed, however, sometimes it can get a little crowded and seating can be hard to come by, especially on Fri/Sat nights. And because it's so popular, the chances of running into someone you know and having to exchange pleasantries are high. That's the only downside of this place.

Wow! I love this place. I eat here too often for breakfast. The tacos are great for a light breakfast or go for the quesadillas for something more substantial. I love the fajita steak ones... The muffins are excellent. If they are not hot, the staff will warm one for you. Of course add an ice cold milk. The place is always busy, especially around 7:30 AM. Lots of teens meeting before school and nurses getting off shift at Crestwood. The place usually calms down by 8 AM. Little Rosies is a great place for an early morning tagup. Lots of business folks meet here for an early morning meeting...Little Rosies has free wifi. The place is always clean. The staff is constantly cleaning.

Really good beef enchiladas dine-in and drive-thru. I'm not a fan of the fajitas but my bf really likes them. Btw...Closed Sundays.

The frequency with which they make mistakes on orders, leave items off of your order after you have paid make the quality of this restaurant, meh.

  • Ramona C.

This place had amazing food! We loved everything...there was a line of cars out of the parking lot for the drive thru, so we parked in back by the grocery store and avoided the traffic jam! Try the chips and queso, too, because it was yummy!!!

  • Jeff W.

Good atmosphere, excellent chips and salsa (3 kinds), service was fast, chalupa was average, Margarita was a little less than average.

  • Stacey S.

Breakfast is the only decent thing here, the breakfast taco is good, especially for Huntsville (this is the only Mexican breakfast I have found so far here). Maybe today was an off day, but the staff I encountered was anything but friendly (her name was Chelsea). I read another review on here where the lady said she had chorizo, I haven't seen that on the menu? Also, yet another Huntsville restaurant where all the silverware, plates, cups, EVERYTHING is disposable...come on guys we are living in the 21st century here, and most people are pretty keen on being environmentally conscious!

Tasty and quick! Don't go during lunch though, the lines are out the door!

  • Johnny B.

Breakfast tacos!!! Man, I love this place! The breakfast is just wonderful, AND you can have a Margarita and/or beer with breakfast... WHEEEE! Seriously, the place is clean, the staff is always friendly and they just might have the best coffee served in a restaurant. It is not a in a convenient location for me, so I have only had breakfast there, but it is consistently great. They have beer and margaritas, but not a full bar. If I say its good for kids, I mean well behaved, I think screaming brats should be at home annoying their parents, not me.

I'll start with: I wish there was a little Rosies in Madison because I would eat breakfast there every day. Sergio super taco is awesome. All the breakfast tacos are great. When I am able to go, I always get an extra orange muffin for the next day For lunch, I usually go for the fajita steak pocket taco or the buffalo chicken nachos

I LOVE Little Rosie's. We hit the drive-thru at least twice a week. Chicken taco salad when I'm being good. Chicken fajita wrap, and chips with queso blanco when I'm not. Great food and quick, friendly service.

  • Brian C.

Loved that this place had a drive through, nice menu selection and very fast service especially since this isn't a true fast food restaurant. The food was really pretty average in my opinion, not bad but not fantastic. Ordered the burrito plate and really enjoyed the rice, the chips tasted like tostitos, and the burrito was pretty good but had a very "americanized" mexican taste.

  • Gordon M.

Love it!! Super fast, good breakfast when you need a little mexican type flavor. Infinitely better than Taco Hell!! (just saying Taco Hell that makes me want to vomit).

I prefer Little Rosie's to the original establishments. Mainly because this one has really good breakfast. And to go along with the breakfast you can order booze, so that's a huge plus, especially if you work night shift and want a drink or two after work. But don't go before 7:45 or you won't find a place to sit amongst all the high school kids.

  • Phillip B.

Little Rosies is consistently good. I almost always get the chicken pocket tacos which are very filling. There breakfast is also fantastic.

  • Jenny P.

Little Rosie's is Rosie's faster food baby sister. I say "faster food" because it's faster than the sit down Rosie's but it's much better quality than most fast food. The menu is streamlined to things that can be made quickly with a few tasty additions. Instead of being sit down, Little Rosie's is a counter service restaurant and they also have a drive through. Outdoor seating is available on the covered porch. They open the windows when the weather's nice and when the weather is not so nice they batten down the hatches so it's nice to sit out there year round. This place is popular and the parking lot fills up during most standard meal times, but you can park in the Publix lot directly behind. You may want to check them out during an off hour or wear your walking shoes. Breakfast is a real treat, you've just got to get there before 10:30 in the morning.

I never eat the lunch (not a fan of Rosie's) but I love the breakfast. I recommend the #7 Chicken Fajita Wrap. I eat it without the chicken because I am strange like that.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
