If you care anything about the progress of the civil rights movement and being treated equally no matter your skin color, you will read my review and think twice before patronizing this establishment. You can see from my previous reviews that I am very honest with the experience and service received at an establishment. I check in often at various places with positive comments in order to spread the word about places I want others to try! And with reviews, if it was great, I give a 4 or even 5...if it's just so-so, I give a 3, maybe a 2. I've ONLY given a 1 twice and for one of them I went back and re-reviewed it, giving it a 3 (the other deserved a 1, so I stand by that). During our visit at Lee Ann's, our server Angela seemed like an upstanding person. She was kind and helpful. She even agreed to bring out 6 brownie desserts in celebration for our event. It was a side deal she spoke with one friend about. My friend has worked in the food industry before, so she was very careful with her request when she asked for 6 "stock" desserts, not wanting to pay more than $4. Again, she was very specific, down to the price. Angela walked away saying, "yes I can do that." And if she was unable to do it, she should've said exactly that. Well, somehow a $24 treat turned into a very high bill with the $4 treats being turned into $9 disasters. It was a brownie cut into 4 pieces with whip cream and chocolate syrup and a candle (I have pictures). When the bill was received, in a calm manner, Angela was told this was not what they spoke about. Angela went back and talked with someone, yet she only came back offering to remove 2 of the pricey-not-worth-it desserts from the bill. Though this was NOT what she'd promised, to avoid conflict, my friend agreed. However, Lee Ann showed up in the flesh causing Angela to feel unable to fulfill her keep her word. Therefore, the amount she said she'd remove was not added to the check and the group left. Please keep in mind at least 10 people purchased food and at this time, and only 4-5 were remaining. My gratuity alone was close to $8...so from our table, in all, more than enough was given. As friends attempted to leave, while already in cars, one person representing Lee Ann's beat on the window of a car asking for the money because she felt the restaurant tab was short (though in actuality, she got more than what was promised in the original deal but Angela placed it in her pocket, not counting it at that moment). When the driver let her know, "You have the wrong one," this Lee Ann representative was upset and she used a derogatory word, saying "we" are all the same. I'm not sure if yelp will let me spell the word, nor do I want to but you can guess what it is. This representative really did have the wrong person, so she shouldn't have felt attacked. But I guess "we" all look alike as well. When I come to Huntsville, it's usually for homecoming, weddings, etc. So I mainly come to eat for the rest of the trip. But I guarantee I will never step foot inside this establishment and will be sure everyone I know from this city will hear this story and do the same. I'm sure Lee Ann does not care, but it'd make me feel better knowing she's missing out on well-paying, TIPPING, respectable patrons as she serves her subpar bar-fare food and expensive drinks.

The good: a lovely outside/patio area and live music The bad: mediocre food (unless you like everything you eat dipped in breading and fried) This is a place where older folks gather. If you are 45 or younger there is a very good chance you won't enjoy your visit - unless you are cougar hunting. In which case, good luck. We go once a month to attend a social function. If the meetings weren't held there I'd be hard pressed to come up with a reason to go back.

Lee Ann's isn't awful....its just not very good. I had the "meat and two sides" consisting of fried catfish, fried green tomatoes and slaw. Considering the armored breading on the catfish and the tomatoes they were kind of hard to distinguish... oh that's right the tomatoes were round. Were all of these Sisco prepackaged products? The slaw was ok and plenty of tea was provided. Neither local or good I'd suggest trying the Blue Plate instead.

I know it is a bar but my dad and I go there to eat and it is a wonderful place to go on a beautiful fall day. They have outside seating that is nice. Yes we do get drinks and they make a great cape cod but if you go there you have to try the steak quesidillas (sp?)man those are fantastic. The service is nice. I usually don't go on the weekends but not because of them I don't go to bars on weekends in general. My only negative is that they allow smoking - That is totally their right to allow smoking and i am sure most of their clientele is good with it but that is why they get 4 stars instead of 5 (plus i usually sit outside anyway) OH also try their "meat and 3" it is soooo good and plenty of options.

This business let someone use my debit card without even having my card, only my stolen debit card #! When I called and asked how this was possible they exclaimed they charged my card by only using the # because this was a " regular " at their bar. Who does business like that? They let this man charge over 200 dollars on my debit card # just because he was a regular! I suggest you stay away from this place or their next "regular" might get you!

I've only been here a few times, but it's always been filled with rednecks and the bands playing have always been country, so I won't go back.
