The corned beef hash has a kick to it! Eggs and hash browns were good too. The hash browns were cooked in a patty ring mold old school style. You can get them like that still at Waffle House, but you have to order them that way. Edith Ann's just knows that's the best way. I think the owner came to our table to ask us if everything was ok - nice personal touch there. I have to ask though, what's up with all of those monkeys?

Contrary to the negative reviews, my experience was positive. We were warmly greeted when we walked in. Angela promptly took our drink orders. I ordered a cheese and mushroom omelet with grits and a biscuit. Mom ordered country ham with a biscuit, red eye gravy and scrambled eggs. My omelet was huge, but it was delicious. The biscuit was perfect and the grits were very good. Of course, Mom loved her meal, but she could only eat part of it. The employees at this restaurant do not sit on their ass, even when the restaurant isn't busy. They constantly clean and stay busy. Angela was awesome. When she saw the ring on my finger, she pointed to it and said "Whats that?!!" My ring serves a purpose, but I'm not going to explain it here. When I told her that my boyfriend made it for me (it's a complicated ring), she said "That's the sweetest crap I've ever heard." She was funny and so sweet. She kept filling up Mom's Coke. Mom is a Coke addict. When I got up to pay the bill, she gave mom a to go Coke. Angela is on the ball. She never misses anything.

Best omeletes in Huntsville! My boyfriend and I drive 20 miles nearly every Sunday, before the church crowd, to get one of their truly special omeletes. The southwestern with cherizo is by far our favorite. The staff is super friendly and it's reasonably priced.

Loved this place growing up (it's right outside my parents' neighborhood), because it was a great place to get a southern breakfast for cheap. Since their revamp, the food has gone down slightly in quality and their menu is much more limited. It's certainly a busy place to be on Saturday mornings, but it's definitely worth the fight for a table.

I love this place. I was afraid to eat there at first because it looked kinda dumpy but once you get inside it's a cute little diner. It's like a nicer version of a waffle house with great food. Service is always good. Food comes quickly. My favorite is the bacon, mushroom, omlette. Their blueberry pancakes are really good and huge! Great breakfast spot!

Just tired them for the first time. We were pleasantly surprised with the food. Lots of food for a great price! Real potato hash browns, HUGE pancakes, and frozen biscuits. Yup that's right frozen biscuits. The reason why they didn't get 4 stars is due to the cooling system which there was none on a hot summer day. Decor needed a big lift. Service was a little slow in beginning we sat for about 7 mins before we got a menu and our drink orders. And those frozen biscuits smh. They might as well not have biscuits on the menu.

Ok, I don't usually write reviews unless its to complain about something, but here's the deal. I definitely went in with an open mind, not expecting anything special, but For the price and location, this place is really good. They were really friendly, the food was quick and cooked exactly the way I ordered it, and the price was not over board. Another plus, and I'm not sure of many people will understand this, but they actually had Cholula hot sauce. I'm am from out of town and I will definitely eat here again of I came back to Huntsville.

Family for breakfast before everyone headed home, eight of us in total. The service was excellent, however the food was disappointing. I had a veggie omelet, which was very large and tasty - a canned/ frozen biscuit which was tasteless and butter stuff with no flavor. The hash browns were definitely not brown and had no floor. Others had various dishes most were very marginal. Very hard to see why this restaurant was voted "best breakfast in Huntsville". This was our second visit in the last 4 years and very possible our last.

No idea how this was voted Best Breakfast. It is basically a Waffle House with NO A/C! Food is Waffle House food, service is Waffle House service with the added bonus of getting to watch the cooks drip sweat all over everything. I had the steak and cheddar omelet; the toast was the best part. My better half had the biscuits and gravy and it was mediocre--could have made it at home for half the price. Our bill was higher than any bill I've ever seen at WH, too. We smelled like greasy sweat for HOURS afterward and had to go home and shower and wash our clothes. My shoes still smell like a construction worker.

My wife and I went for breakfast to see what the Best Breakfast in Huntsville was like. Overall, I'd say good but not great. Spinach-bacon omlette was good, and the grits were very good, but my biscuit was barely warm and I wasn't a fan of the hollandaise sauce (which I asked for on the side to be safe!). My wife had the breakfast burrito, which was big and fairly tasty, but the hash browns were fairly uninspiring. Service was attentive but not stifling, which is about how I like it. The decor was more of an attempt than a success, but didn't take away from the atmosphere. I'd add a half-star for the price - the food was good and cheap, and I'd rather give my money to local businesses than big chains. We live across town, and probably wouldn't make a special trip just to eat here. Not a bad place to stop if you're in the area, though.

Not sure how this place got voted best breakfast in Huntsville...food was just a tad above waffle house. I tried the eggs benedict everyone raves about and really just wasn't impressed. Sauce was bland and eggs overcooked. Also, the fact that my husband and I got a lingering 'looks like they're not from around here' stare down when we entered made us a little uncomfortable. Way out of my way for breakfast with service and customers like that.

I laughed at the comments of "Alex S.". It is similar to Waffle House in building layout, with an attempt at a country style/antique decor. Seemed a little eclectic to me personally. Also, there were adds for local businesses all over the place...on the menu and the coffee mugs. It really detracted from the overall atmosphere. I had the breakfast burrito upon recommendation of the waitress. Seemed fresh and hot upon arrival with a nice mexican flare of of spices in the sausage. However, they biscuits were a little firmer than something that I would expect to have been made fresh that day. Same with the grits. I share some of the same concerns with others that some of the food isn't really prepared fresh daily. My brother at the ribeye (I think) with red eye gravy. He swears by the gravy. Of course, the real test of a breakfast place in my opinion are the waffles and pancakes, which I did not have time for on this visit. I'm giving 3 stars for the benefit of the doubt until I have time to return for the real test. Either way, I honestly think so far that Cracker Barrel has a better breakfast than Edith Ann's.

Similar layout to a Waffle House, but much cleaner and you don't leave with excruciating stomach pains. Biscuits are very tasty. Eggs Benedict made perfectly. Service was very friendly. Everything you want in a breakfast.

Came to Edith Ann's because we saw that it had been voted best breakfast in Huntsville. Service was good, but the food was just okay. Had the breakfast burrito with chorizo which was decent, but the salsa it came with was straight from a jar. Hashbrowns looked and tasted like they were from a frozen product, not terrible, but nothing great. Tasted the wife's corn beef hash, and it didn't taste necessarily homemade either. Biscuit was good and appeared to be made in house. Place was decorated funky, which was cool and there were monkeys hanging on every light fixture in a bunch of different colors. Not sure what that was about, but it was different. Friendly folks. I'm going to come back to try the lunch.

Not a very inventive type place. Not impressed. After reading an article on Edith Ann's and how wonderful it was, the best place to go, etc... my husband and I decided to try it. It was nothing spectacular. If this is the best breakfast place to go in Huntsville, then I guess I'll go to another town. Just didn't do if for me. Nothing was outstanding or memorable. Won't be back.

Really disappointed. Hash browns were verging on disgusting, frozen junk placed on hotplate and soaked in old oil. I saw the "cook" reconstitute dried up old pancake batter using tap water, it took 5-min with a big ladle to get it runny again.....those poor people that ordered the pancakes. Even though getting breakfast on a Sunday in Huntsville is really hard, I wont be back to Edith's. Edith Ann's Taste of Home? More like Edith Ann's Taste of Shit.

It's cheap, the food is hot and there is allot of it. The service is classic southern sweetness. The only thing is, I am spoiled there is something about the food that lacks a pros refinement. But like I said it's great classic diner food (very good for a hangover).
