Went with some friends on 7-27-12 and ordered a sandwich with outside sliced. The sandwich came and I told the waitress that I had ordered outside not inside. She said, "That is our outside." It was barely tan. If you want good outside, go somewhere else. On a positive note, it had a generous amount of inside on it.

This is a decent jam in G-town for BBQ. There are flashier places which have been around longer but this is quick and easy and delicious and cheap. They have really cheap beer, too. Major plus. It was 75 cents a beer at some point, not sure if that still holds.

This place is a nice place to get a quick lunch. Their pork sandwich had an even smokey aroma and flavor that was just right. The sauce was a happy sweet and tangy combo. I like my food on the salty side, but the fried tomatoes were definitely overly seasoned with salt. Cole slaw didn't seem fresh or crisp as I had expected, I wouldn't be surprised if it was a few days old. Service was friendly and fast.

The food here used to be excellent, but for the last couple years the food and service have gotten worse each time I've gone there to the point that I no longer do so. Pruett's is just up the road and is a much better option.

A good place. Hot wings are good. Plates are good. Order sauce on the side or you could have your meat swimming and in it unless its chicken or ribs.

Best BBQ in Gadsden but it's def no Jim N Nick's though ;) Prices are a little steep but the portions tend to be large. Not a fan of their BBQ pork or beef so the only things I ever order are: the smoked chicken sandwich, BBQ chicken potato, or the BBQ chicken salad. The chicken fingers are also good but take a while to cook. The key to a great meal here is to mix up the sauces with the food (which I believe are homemade)....red bbq sauce, ranch, honey mustard, and white peppery bbq sauce. It makes ALL the difference. Decor is outdated, noise can be very loud when packed with people but the food makes it tolerable. The baked beans are ok, the potato salad and cole slaw can be hit or miss, onion rings and fried pickles are fine, and the french fries are good. Downside? They don't offer a brunswick stew :( Also, they used to have a special of a sandwich and a side for a nice price but they did away with it for some reason.

Uncle Sam's BBQ looks a little dated, but is very clean. This is usually a good sign when you're talking about a BBQ joint. The prices are about standard for bbq, but the portions are bigger than you get at similar joints. My 3 year old got a kid's chicken fingers that would have been enough food to feed both of us. I got a jumbo pork sandwich. Jumbo was an understatement. The BBQ had a good, smokey flavor and the sauce was sweet and tangy. My son's chicken fingers were great (something you will rarely ever hear me say about chicken fingers). The only bad thing that I can say about the food is that the fries were average. I suspect you would have a hard time getting as much good food for the same price anywhere else.

Multi-generational family thoroughly enjoyed Uncle SAMs dinner menu. Chicken was excellent, the sides were just right, ribs were done to perfection, and pulled pork was what you expect from an excellent family BBQ. Staff gals made all of our night, give um a nice tip!

My fiance and I stopped here for lunch on a weekday. The beer was okay priced, but the entrees and sides were waaay over priced. I ordered a regular bbq chicken sandwich and a beer, and he ordered a jumbo pork bbq sandwich and a beer, and we shared a large order of fries. I will say we got our food promptly but it doesn't make up for what happened next. The bottom piece of bun on my chicken sandwich was coated in old, cold PORK bbq. Not only that but the bread stuck to the plate as if the plate was wet when the bread was put on there? That or it was heated on the plate in a microwave, either is unacceptable. Since half of the bottom of the buns on our sandwiches were stuck to the plate, they basically crumbled and fell apart. We couldn't even pick them up. We asked the server, very nicely I will add, how anyone was supposed to eat a sandwich that has a torn bun and falling apart. She says "Uh, I don't know. With a fork I guess?". Didn't apologize for the cook's sloopy plating style or even suggest she get a remake on it. Walked away and didn't come back until she had the bill. Halfway through my sandwich (after picking out the pork that wasn't supposed to be there) I bit down on something hard. I tried getting it out of my mouth without making a scene thinking maybe it was just some tough chicken. No. It was a 2" long bone. I couldn't even finish I was so grossed out. We paid our extremely high bill for the poor quality of food we had received and left. We will never go back.

Decent food but questionable cleanliness. Servers wear flip flops and sandals. Also lots of trash on floor

Another good BBQ joint in the gadsden area. Like the fact that they lightly grill the buns for sandwhiches. Awesome chx smothered baked potato. And cannot beat the 75 cent beers!
