Sweet hot sauce, barbecue nachos, pulled pork sandwich. All decent fare in a fast food environment. We had a dog so it was nice to be able to sit on the patio

Stopped in today for a Beef sandwich w/ one side, picked spicy fries for my side. Meat was dry, not much flavor at all, was edible when I drenched it in some sauce. Fries were decent though. Was still hungry, so ordered some cheesecake for dessert -- that was very good. A weak 3 Star rating. With all the other BBQ places about in Northern Alabama, doubt I'll give any other Rick's BBQ locations a try again.

Today we visited the newer Rick's close to Killen. I got a loaded baked potato, and I must say, the bar b que that was on my potato was good, but that is it. This must have been the worst one that I have had from them. I don't know if it was just a bad night for them or they have just started cutting back on the sour cream and butter. I just really don't think we will go back to this one.

I ordered the Large pulled pork sandwich a friend ordered the small there was not much more meat on the large. The pork had good flavor but there was not enough of it. The baked beans tasted like they were out of the can. The cashier seemed to be struggling and no one els was up front. The sauces and tea was good but not enough to make me want to come back

This place is like a mystery house. Like, why does a BBQ place have nachos on the menu? Why does a BBQ platter come with a huge tator tot? The vinegar coleslaw was basically inedible. The spicy fries and the pork BBQ weren't terrible. The texas toast wasn't even toasted. There's so much good BBQ in the South, it seems pointless to eat at a bad BBQ place.

BBQ was as good as any my wife and I have eaten. Sauce very good with baked beans and potato salad as good as any. Need home made pies.

As good as it gets! Amazing bbq, amazing sauce, amazing tea, amazing service... If they had the crowns, like Burger King, this would be my first 5 star. Definitely a must for me, when I go home. LOVE ME SOME RICKS!!!

I really wanted to like it. I'm brand new to the area and stopped in for lunch. Had the rib platter. It was honestly the worst plate of food I have had in a long time. I've never seen so much grease and dripping fat on a plate. Very little "BBQ" flavor at all. The side of Cole slaw tasted EXACTLY like KFC's (which I kinda like so not sure how to judge this one). The tea was good...sorry my first taste of southern BBQ sucked..

Two Words: SLAW DOG. Three more words: WITH WHITE SAUCE. The loaded baked potatoes are not bad, but the only thing I will ever order from Rick's again will be the slaw dog with white sauce. If my bride lets me, we will be stopping at Rick's for slaw dogs with white sauce upon each return to the Florence area. And we go there often. The people are nice and the location is easy. Other places do other items better as far as BBQ goes, but that smoky, zesty dog with the mustardy, spicy slaw takes me to hot dog heaven with Saint Nathan at the nitrite gates.

This establishment has greatly redeemed themselves. Tried out the new location and all is improved. A bigger kitchen may be why they now have baked potatoes instead of running out like they used to.
