Yummy, home cooked Italian food! I had the large portion of lasagna (which was more than enough) and my husband had the spaghetti and meatballs, I tasted his and was OK but not as good as mine :) Our entrees came with French bread which was pretty good but nothing special. And we ordered garlic bread as an appetizer but it came with our meal so that kind of defeated its purpose. They offer other kinds of garlic bread with other toppings which I may try when we go back. I definitely recommend this place. Friendly servers and relaxed atmosphere.

This restaurant has the worst pizza! Think of eating cardboard with very little sauce and hardly any toppings. Over priced garbage, dry pizza, extremely hard crust; rude staff I asked a server if they had any olive oil for the pizza and she stated verbatim "We don't have any olive oil" A good Italian restaurant has gallons of olive oil, save money go somewhere else...pizza hut is better than this restaurant. I know pizza I grew up in Miami and have been around the world.

Don't bother. Robert Irvine might keep & re-train the servers, but he'd toss the rest. I prefer local businesses over chains, but even Olive Garden far outshines Mia's. Salad = pre-chopped iceberg with 3 cherry tomatos in center. 'Garlic bread' was warmed buttered buns, possibly with a shake of garlic powder (but we couldn't detect it). 'Bread sticks' = cheese pizza with the sauce on the side, crust was undercooked. They claim to make their sauces in-house; either way, the 'alfredo' was watery and worse than pre-made; we found it inedible. The red sauce was palatable, and would be passable on a pizza. Dried pasta was overcooked. I also had their 1/2 meatball sub sandwich. The meatball did have some flavor and a decent texture, but only covered 2/3 of the bun (1 meatball cut in half). Bun was chewy. Wait staff was friendly and came by frequently, but not well trained to (or possibly not empowered to) recover from the Kitchen's mistakes; although I suspect may be due to the magnitude and frequency of dissatisfied customers. Possibly the biggest crime of the night was the waitress/cashier that mentioned she grew up in a first-generation Italian-American home with fresh pastas & sauces. I almost lost my mind; ONE OF YOUR EMPLOYEES KNOWS HOW GOOD FOOD LOOKS &TASTES!!! Please put any pride aside and leverage her knowledge to improve your menu.

Horrible. Cold pasta. Chicken from a can. Bad Alfredo sauce. Simply disgusting.

The chef salad is simple and addictive. I compare every chef salad to what they serve and I've been disappointed almost every time because it's not as good as theirs. The owners are sweet and mindful of the guests experiences. It is such a casual hole in the wall and yet serves truly casual, delicious, and satisfying food. The atmosphere is vacant like a cafeteria, but I enjoy every bit of it with the food and friendly service.

This is a "love it-hate it" type restaurant for the people I know. I fall into the "hate it" category for a couple of reasons. First of all, the salads..uh, well they consist of a few pieces of lettuce with a tomato on top. That's it. I found myself crumbling crackers over it for flavor! Secondly, their version of Italian food is average at best. Give it a try and form your own opinion!

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
