Wow when i visited Dothan i was told to stop in to Cookie's Cafe and the food was amazing the staff was really friendly with the southern hospitality , but the food cube steak and rice was to die for, but the YAMs are the best i have ever had . The prices are really reasonable i will definitely stop in again when im in the area.

Exactly what we wanted. Driving through the south traveling to Florida and came upon this gem. Obviously, for locals, and not afraid to show it. I got the catfish, mac and cheese and vegetables. He got the fried chicken, mac and cheese and hushpuppies. Nice, friendly staff - not overly bothersome and welcoming to new people. Definetly recommend for a great lunch.

A welcoming meat-and-three in Dothan. You can watch Cookie preparing your meal behind the counter before making your selection. Excellent fried chicken. For my sides I tried rice & gravy, rutabaga, lima beans. All yummy. Of course you have to have a big sweet tea. Too sweet for my taste, but it's a must. And crunchy fried hushpuppies come with your meal. A great value in a friendly cafe.
