We went for the all you can eat sushi buffet on a Friday. We were immediately put off by the long line of people waiting to be sat. The hostess seemed to double as a cashier when needed. She did not have any interest in seating customers in a timely fashion, moving slowly and not very interactive. Thankfully their food redeemed them. Their buffet isn't really a buffet. They give you a paper menu and pencil, in a similar fashion to ordering sushi at places like Stix. I was surprised to see hibachi meats, pot stickers, and rice on the buffet menu. You don't have to order everything at once. You can get a new menu and place a new order at any time. However, the timeliness of receiving your food might be prohibitive of such. Overall the food was very good. I had several different types of sushi, mainly the spicy ones. I would go back if I were really hungry next time. You have to be really hungry to make it worth the price.

I'm not sure what was most disappointing, the expression of disgust on the hostess' face when we walked in, the utter lack of attention from and put out attitude of the wait staff, the mediocre (at best) meal or the bill. If you're looking to regret that you cannot get back the 90 minutes of your life that you wasted eating here...go for it.

The sushi is always great and the hibachi is amazing! Their hibachi chefs are very entertaining. Always keeps the kids interested. Top it all off with unbeatable prices and it doesn't get better than Daruma's!

The sushi is great. Go atleast once a week for the unlimited sushi for lunch with my wife and friends. Kind of disappointed with the staff during rush hour, they already know it is going to be busy, better staffing would help. But! Despite all of that it is still a great place to get cheap sushi and great sushi and a lot of it!

My wife has a disability and is attended by a service dog who is trained for public access and protected by the provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act. The manager in charge forced her to sit in a private room because she didn't understand what a service dog was despite my wife, the other patrons and even the other employees trying to explain to her the situation. She attempted to kick my wife and her dog out of the restaurant and acted terribly towards her. This is unacceptable and illegal behavior.

All you can eat is worth it if you're really hungry! It was 12.49 when I went. Sushi is fair; not the best and not the fancy sushi bar experience. But if you're ready to eat, not a bad place! Service is sometimes not the best though.

I've eaten here a handful of times and haven't had a bad meal! Their miso soup is good (though a bit light-handed with the tofu). Their rolls are good and I'm a big fan of the shumai. I haven't done the hibachi, but the restaurant has above atmosphere and the employees are pleasant and prompt when I've dined in and taken out. Not a bad spot if you live in Daphne and love Japanese food!

The all you can eat lunch special is a great deal and includes specialty rolls and appetizers! I recommend the tiger and volcano rolls. This is definitely one of my favorite lunch spots. The service is generally quick as well. One tip: do not order more than you can eat or you will have to pay for what is left.

Great spot for Japanese food. Miso soup good, gyoza good, California roll good, and shrimp tempura roll good. All in all, great dining.

Great place to come during the week from 11-2 for all you can eat sushi. The sushi is still prepared with a slightly better than par approach that makes it worth the 11.99 Buffet price. Service can be a hit or miss depending on the type of day your server is having but treat them right and they will do the same for you. Remember not to over order or uou could end up paying full price for the sushi you do not eat.

We went for dinner last night with the kids to have Hibatchi. We were the only ones in the restaurant (6pm on Sunday) and the waitress was slow to come greet us. The chef was very dull, no usual show for the kids and the food was over cooked. The sauce tasted like it was from last week. We wont be going back!

First time there about a week ago. I had their AYCE sushi lunch. It was well worth the $12. Best sushi I've had in a while. I'll definitely be going back.

I travel for my job, and I'm frequently in the Mobile/Foley area. I've eaten here numerous times, for some reason I haven't reviewed Daruma yet. It's awesome. I drive across the bay from Mobile just to eat here. The all-you-can-eat lunch is the most amazing deal currently going anywhere. Its only like $12.something, you order from a menu, theres no nasty buffet with lots of unhygienic people putting their grubby bacteria/virus laden paws over everything, the sushi is loaded with fresh fish, its great. The regular menu is wonderful, price is more than reasonable, the staff is extremely nice and attentive. The interior is dated and somewhat drab, but I go here for the food not the furniture. Eat here, you won't regret it.

First time here and I will have to say pretty good. Had the chicken and shrimp hibachi, wife had the shrimp and scallops. We shared a California Roll, which was pretty good. Only down side was no egg drop soup. Will be back.

Dry ass rice, cheap minced tuna on the rolls, dirty plates, and there was a hole in the seat of the booth I sat in. This is poverty sushi. I will not be back.

My girlfriend took me here last night for my birthday in keeping with my New Years resolution of trying new things, this was my first time to have sushi. In short I will be a repeat customer! The shrimp tempura and Daphne Roll were my favorites! Also the size of the side of fried rice was generous in my opinion.

I love coming here during happy hour! All you can eat for a low price. These rolls are made fresh when you order them! It's not a buffet style of all you can eat! The ponzu here is not what I am use to eating. There are more than sushi on the menu. There are appetizers like tempera veg. or edamame. The hibachi mini-menu is available such as fried rice and beef teriyaki. I would recommend this place!!!!!

I had sushi rolls at Daruma last weekend and from the outside, it looked retro, almost like a disco-club with music audible prior to reaching the entrance. But when I entered, I was promprtly seated at the sushi side of the restaurant which appears to be quieter. The waitresses were very very friendly and attended to all our needs. We had the rainbow roll, dragon roll and spicy scallps with raw salmon roll. Something that I had not have before. All three rolls were good but regretfully, they do not have a lot of roll combinations that have raw salmon. Most of it is baked or smoked salmon. Not much of tuna roll selections as well. Next time, I will try the Hibachi.

Daruma is the best! My mom and I always come here for our sushi dates. I can't get better sushi anywhere else. Their all you can eat special is the best deal around town and you won't regret trying it. Fair warning, they may charge you if you order a smorgasbord of food and don't eat half of it which is fair in my opinion. We always order a few things first and then ask for another menu so we don't over eat. The Crazy Roll, Daphne Roll, and New Ware are all favorites. I love their philly rolls but my absolute favorite is the tempora salmon. Their nigiri is amazing as well. For the all you can eat special, the menu has a little bit of everything: appetizers, soups, salads, sushi, nigiri, hibachi, and fancy rolls. They give you mini rolls so you can try more items. When you first come in sometimes the people wait awhile to seat you, but I think a family runs the entire place so it can get short handed at times. The servers know us by name and are always happy to provide for you. They also have Sunday $1 sushi rolls, but their all you can eat special is the best deal around town. Even if you aren't a fan of sushi, they have hibachi that is delicious. You won't regret eating here.

Lunch all you can eat sushi and habachi, please and thank you. I can't eat a ton at one sitting, so I don't get my bang for my buck. I like this for the variety. You can try small portions of differnet rolls along with steak, chicken, lo mein, rice, ect,. This place came recommended to me by a few people and I too recommend it to people.

Sunday is $1 sushi (nigiri: usual supsects like eel, shrimp, tuna, salmon, yellowtail and a few others) and $1 drafts. Great price and good sushi. Friendly staff. Rolls are still full price. It is a bit hard to find in the strip mall the first time I went, but it has a nice atmosphere, the food was good and very reasonably priced. The flyer outside said that all you can eat sushi and hibachi is coming M-Th 11am-3pm.

I hate writing a bad review but I feel I have to for this. Ok so my best friend and I wanted to find a neutral place where I could have sushi and she could get cooked food. So we went here. And here is the long list of bad 1. We werent greeted at the door while the wait staff talked amongst themselves like we were invisible, when there was a sign to wait to be seated. 2. Sat us in a booth and every surrounding table was dirty, took 10 minutes for our waitress to get to greet us ( I figured she was on a smoke break and not cigs) 3. My friend orders filet medium cooked, I get multiple rolls (all sushi). Friends cooked food comes out before mine. Then the waitress brings out the soup and salad after her meal??? Still no silver wear still no sushi. I ask for a glass of merlot, she repeats back cab I say fine whatever. 4. Two lady's get sat behind us (still no food) waitress gets their drink order and delivers wine, (still no wine) so I give up on the wine since she brings my sushi finally! 5. The food: filet was more med rare then med and fried rice looked pre made and not very warm. California roll was 80% cucumber and a small chunk of fake crab. Albacore was flavorless. Spicy tuna was good! Actually. And volcano was ok. I've had soooo much better. 6. Ask to return california roll, glassy eyed waitress says she is hungry and will I box it for her......REALLY?! Ok I boxed it and gave it to her but she couldn't even wait til we were done she picked it right up off the table....don't smoke and you won't get munchies and beg your table for food. Not to mention took her three trips to get boxes and did I mention never got my wine. WILL NOT return...

All you can eat sushi and hibachi menu Mon-Thurs 11am-3pm! $11.99! You can't beat that! (It's NOT buffet style. They cook your food to order and bring it to your table. You have a special menu and it has a LOT to choose from!) Delicious! I love the seaweed salad, the hibachi steak, and the spicy tuna roll!

As a usual customer of Daruma, I was extremely disappointed when I was charged for leaving too many leftovers. This was not communicated by our server. While the server and the manager were discussing the matter at our table, they proceeded to talk to each other in their native language. I didn't appreciate being charged for being full or being left out of a conversation at my table. Would not recommend coming here unless you're willing to pay extra.
