Good BBQ, good steaks, fun atmosphere and decent prices. If's a classic BBQ joint: big on family, low on decor. Sandwiches and plates are good with large portions. The steaks are good and potatoes are large. I've never had a bad meal, though occasionally the service can be slow. They have both smoking and non-smoking sections, but you have to pay in the smoking section, so if you are sensitive to it, be aware. There are TVs in the back room where the big games are usually playing. The gravel parking lot can be a bit disorganized on busy evenings.

Best place in Clanton Alabama! I grew up here and this has been my favorite restaurant since I was 11 years old. Ribeye steaks are amazing and well worth the money. My son loves their chicken fingers and tots and they have the best ranch dressing. The servers are all wonderful. I hate they pull tips together so I always make sure I leave a little extra. Craig is a great man and I give him a thumbs up for keep the chip going! He even put a picture up of my husband in his Marine uniform.

I tried this place three different times. Each was like the previous. First, their so called hickory pit barbeque tastes like it was boiled. No smoke flavor at all. I have had better tasting barbeque from a can. My family was in the barbeque business. Our worst day was better than what they serve. My last visit I ordered a hot hamburger with fries. It was set in front of me in less than five minutes. It was dry, tasted like it had been under a heatlamp for several hours. The gravy tasted like it came from a jar. I am totally disappointed with the food quality and the not so happy looking servers. I will never go back to this place. Save your money for a better place. I had to give them one star because you can't give them zero

We loved it!! The food is great and prices were lower than expected. Service was better than what you would get at a big chain sit down restaurant and you get to eat in peace due to no cell service. Normally that is a drawback but if you want a great family meal without interruption this is the place for you. Also try the onion rings!

BBQ is really good. A lot of BBQ places have that dry texture...not here. Juicy and flavorful! Service, cleanliness, etc all good. Liked that the owner was there overseeing things. We had the BBQ plate and the "small" sandwich for 2.99, which was a normal size sandwhich. BBQ plate was typical size at 7.99 with two sides.

This is a good restaurant, but the experience you have will depend on the waitress. The food is generally good, nothing really special though. The restaurant is somewhat noisy but not excessive. Kind of dark in certain parts of the room. But again, if you get the "wrong" server, it isn't going to be fun.

It is about as good as it gets in Clanton...you have to drive to Prattville or Alabaster to get better. Good catfish, good salad, burgers are good.
