Very pleasantly surprised. Great sushi great rolls and great service at a very reasonable price. May be my new favorite place close to home. I had the white tuna and octopus sushi with the Yum Yum roll (suggested by the sushi chef). Fish was very fresh and one of the best pieces of octopus I've had anywhere. The roll was extremely filling and had lots of variations of taste within. Tried the salad this time which was good and looking forward to the miso soup on my next visit.

This place is a moderate tepanyaki grill nothing great. I go because I love bennihanna and they don't have one in this city. First off, they don't give you a ginger dipping sauce, I asked for it and the chef gave a sauce more like teriyaki saice. The starter Salad was just lettuce and no ginger salad dressing. Just that punk mayo dressing that you get at those cheap asian fast food places. Next time save your money and go to Pei Wei.

This is my favorite place to eat Hibachi in Hoover. The cooks are always funny and they always make you laugh.

Went to college in Birmingham and was introduced to this local restaurant by a teammate who grew up in Hoover, AL. Lets just say, I'm a regular here. Always a super friendly staff! Never a long wait time to be seated, even at the grills. Chefs are always talkative and friendly! Now don't get me started on the food. The fried rice is to DIE for! Add some of their patented "Yum Yum sauce" to it, and it's even more delicious. Their chicken, steak, or shrimp are all really good options. If you want some good Japanese grill style food in Birmingham, this is the spot!

I love Yuki and everything about it! I love the service and the food....most of all it the price! This is one of the most reasonably priced of Hibachi places in Birmingham! I usually get the Teriyaki Chicken and its soooooo awesome...and of sushi my favorite is the Shrimp Tempora Roll!!!!!! So trust this is a must try for a small price you get more than a full stomach and to go box!!!!

Yuki is quickly becoming my favorite for Japanese Hibachi. The prices seem more reasonable than other places close by and I prefer it over Sumo and Stix(my old favorite). The sushi wasn't all that great, but I usually stick with the grill there :) service is friendly and Michael (one of the owners) is a wonderful chef and super nice guy.

Chef was extremely rude and talked back to the customer next to me. Went on a tangent about how he makes the rules and that he doesn't need our business and that we should eat our food and never come back. This all occurred because the man sitting next to me simply asked if the chef received his order or double rice.

So on our quest to explore food spots near the house, we came across this Japanese hibachi restaurant in a strip mall next to Walmart on 150. I was a bit skeptical due to previous reviews but I'm glad I went! Maybe they have been listening? Our hostess and waitress were very attentive in answering our questions and taking our orders. Our waters were filled often (even before we drank our glass down). We sat at the hibachi grill and our chef wasn't the best we've had with all the crazy tricks and interaction but he wasn't the worst either. The yum yum sushi roll was recommended by the hostess. If you are into sushi doused by sauce then this is for you but if you are into more so the flavor of the ingredients in the roll...then not so much. To each his own! The ginger salad and miso soup were standard but really good! The teriyaki chicken was pretty good and veggies and rice were cooked well flavored as well. Bf doesn't eat mushrooms or eggs; the chef remembered and was very mindful to cook things separately. Overall it was a good experience and I wouldn't mind coming back!

Love this place!!! I enjoy coming here with my family. The food and service is great, and the place is even better!!! Lets be honest, a lot of the Japanese restaurant out there at the same, they cook the food in front of you then serves it to you, so I don't see a reason to go to places like Sumo or Kobe or Stix and paying $10 extra for the exact same thing.

I don't even know where to begin: service was poor, food quality icky, accuracy of order not evident, complete sadness after meal.....TOTALLY! I ordered hot & sour soup. I was given egg drop, but told it was hot & sour....weird...... There were several waitresses trying to work our table.....confusing for all involved! One of our waitresses had a noise piercing that was huge with white balls on it......I totally love tats & holes, but over my soup, so big.....NO! The place was cute....that's the only reason they got a star...a no go in my book!

Went there with wife and kids. Wife ordered a dish that was not what she was expecting and did not even touch the dish. Asked the waiter if she could exchange for something else. Waiter came back after consulting with manager/owner and informed us since we ordered it he could not take it off the bill because he would be charged back for the price of the dish. Most restaurants would not hesitate to to please the customer. They lost my business for good for a $10 dish that costs them a few dollars. Not to mention the food was average at best. Poor management and even worse customer service.

This is a decent Hibachi / Sushi restaurant. The sushi has always been fresh and it is one of the more reasonably priced sushi restaurants in the area. The servers are friendly and take care of you but also usually seem a bit spacey. Don't know why that is just something I have noticed. It's a clean facility and the sushi portions are generous. Particularly the Yum Yum roll which I posted a picture of. It's a big roll with 12 pieces and is a meal by itself.

Strip mall restaurant next to Wal-mart so I wasn't expecting a lot and they didn't disappoint unfortunately. We got a non-performance table. Waitress didn't speak or understand English very well and was not attentive. Hot and Sour soup looked like egg-drop or was just really bad. Teriyaki chicken with fried rice was ok. The vegetables tasted strange, like a cleaning chemical. Overall, I've had better from the mall food court so don't see a need to ever go back.
