Ok, so I love this place. It is trendy with wonderful views. I wish there was a balcony. I love the waitress/bartender conswela.. she knows your name and makes it so enjoyable. The food is amazing.... The bacon jam filet is a must try. I have not been disappointed in anything that I have tried. I did get a memebership becausei love to travel to other cities... not a bad deal at all. If you like fine dining with friendly staff that is trendy then you will love this place.... plus the food is amazing!!

I was so excited to have dinner at The Summit Club - specifically the restaurant Level 31 - however I was disappointed at the end of the meal. We had the duck confit appetizer which was incredible and the only highlight of the evening. Our table ordered the NY Strip steak as well as the salmon. The steak was incredibly difficult to cut and we found it to be almost raw in the middle! It was a beautiful looking steak when I saw it at other tables; may have just gotten a bad cut. However, for the price of this steak, it was absolutely not worth it! In regards to the service, the staff seemed very unsure of the menu as well as the alcohol, wine, and beer selections which was disappointing, as they seemed proud of their wine list. We ended up having two different waitresses coming to our table in rotation which made it slightly confusing for us - normally enjoy having just one server to connect with and finally tip. Overall, we had a nice experience however the food quality was not worth the price nor the hype that The Summit Club boasts about. Will maybe try this place in the future, maybe.

My partner and I went here using a Travelzoo deal. I was interested in seeing how everything was, since it is a members only club. First off, the views are absolutely amazing!! We arrived before sunset and watched the transition from day to night, and it was beautiful. The space is very intimate and romantic feeling...very quiet and relaxed. The service was outstanding! We were called by name by the staff when they introduced themselves, and were very well taken care of. We both loved the food as well. The filet with bacon jam was AMAZING!! The portion sizes are also very good too. You definitely will not leave hungry. We are actually considering joining now! The membership price includes two free three course meals each month, and allows you in over 300 clubs across the country, so is really not a bad deal at all!

I ate here for Valentine's Day with my girlfriend. Service was friendly but I got a weird vibe when we walked in, almost like they were trying too hard to be "fancy". They sat us by a window overlooking the city, which was nice. The menu was prix fixe, with four courses. We each had the filet mignon with asparagus, and overall, it was good. My steak was under-cooked but the flavors made it bearable. Our waiter was extremely nice and thoughtful but again, something was off. It seemed like the whole restaurant was a facade for something that was much less desirable. The experience wasn't bad, but wasn't great either. Average is about right.

I am giving this restaurant five stars because of Cathy our server at lunch. She also provided our service for the meeting we had in the morning. She was amazing. WOW. She is all things wonderful and southern rolled into one. Lunch was delicious. I had some salad with pistachio nuts and honey mustard dressing. Great! I then had crab cakes with shrimp. Probably the best crab cakes I ever had. Plus I had asparagus because Ms. Cathy wanted to ensure I got the greens I needed. Never seen southern hospitality like that. I live in Orlando. I thought that was only in the movies. Delightful experience.

We attended a wedding reception here Saturday...The location, the food and the views of Birmingham from the 31st Floor were excellent. Becky and Stephen did a wonderful job coordinating this event! The majority of us had the ribeye which was perfectly cooked, and we heard the salmon and chicken were both flavorful. The mashed potatoes accompanying the meals were watery and semi-flavorless, but the asparagus and the salad were great. Our group had 100 people. We started at the bar on 31st floor for cocktails and hors d'oeuvres, then moved upstairs for dinner and dancing. Logistically, it was a little awkward because instead of a ballroom, the Summit Club has smaller dining rooms not large enough to accommodate the band. This meant that the band (and dancing) were separate from the dinner. It all came together, though, and the staff could not have been nicer. I would give it a 4.5 if I could.

I enjoyed working with the event coordaintor until the wedding day, and thought we had mapped out a great plan for the wedding. I appreciated the event coordaintor's efficacy, and great suggestions to improve the wedding. I was very disappointed when these issues arose the day of the wedding: 1-Event coordinator was four hours late from the agreed time to be at wedding venue. 2-When event coordinator did arrive, she was unavailable for long periods of time to coordinate with vendors, guests, and wedding party. 3-Event coordinator left the Summit Club half way through the reception without an explanation. 4-I didn't receive a bill for the final payment until the night before the wedding at the rehearsal so there was very little time to review. We met with Vann who instead of a straight apology attempted to show with emails from another vender that my wife was a liar. We never received an answer from Jennifer as to why she was grossly late or why she left early. For these reasons, and many more, I have given the Summit Club a negative review.
