Matthew's is a great local place. Large screen, exposed brick, Xbox entertainment, free pool tables and foosball some nights. LaLa is a fantastically funky bartender who understands how to care for the customer. DJ Kev plays awesome music that can cause you to dance a little or check a lot. Only tip...the entrance to Matthew's is on cobble street Morris Ave not on 1st Ave N. It can be a little confusing. Don't let it deter you. Get to Matthew's the next evening you have available...oh and get the hot wings....delish.

Matthews is a great home town type of feel bar. They have pool tables, tv's, and a really friendly staff. The building they are in is huge with several separated areas for music acts to come in and really not bother the bar area if you didn't come to see the band. I have not had a chance to try any of the food yet but hope to soon.

This bar has a lot of potential, but it's just not quite there yet. The band area is cool but the PA system is quite possibly the worst in town. A birds nest of cables and audio snakes on the floor in front of the stage seems kinda dangerous also. Nice bar side. The bartender was great and she had a kickin mohawk too! Hopefully they will put some time, money and knowledge into building a better PA in the future. Historic Morris Avenue is such a beautiful place this could be a gem in the future

The atmosphere is retro cool: fantastic service : THE pork hash is the bomb! You have try it to believe it ..... Delicious ..... Zach Doss is the friendliest manager you will find and a most talented musician and we might can talk him into playing a set or two if you're lucky !

Great atmosphere! Food is wonderful! Not your typical bar food. Great place to watch a game, have a cold beverage and eat a great meal! They're even open for brunch on Saturday!

when you are drunk and want some food nothing is better than spending way too much money on way too much food at matthews. a decision i never regret.
