This food is GREAT! Not your typical American version of Mexican food but REAL Mexican food! I had shrimp & octopus ceviche and my husband had the oyster perla and both dishes were BEYOND fantastic! If you like authentic Mexican food from the sea, you will love this place. We plan to be regulars! Service was also awesome! Thanks Hector!

Outsatnding..... they gave me a ceviche marlin tostada as a free compliment....GREAT! Then I ordered 1 fish and 1 shrimp taco....never had anything like them, definitely authentic. Overall a great fresh place to eat Authentic Mexican seafood dish's... I will be back!

We have visited this restaurant several times with our Spanish speaking friends. Food has been excellent every time. Complimentary ceviche. Shrimp cocktail is a favorite as well as horchata. We go as often as we can

Yes! Excellent seafood in an unsuspecting part of town with a deceiving facade as a dive. This chef means business. The crab platter is an excellent deal with enough crab to feed three. And the free crabmeat ceviche instead of chips and salsa is a triumph. Atmosphere is fair and service is friendly but not professional. Food is worth it! I will be back.

Delightful! I never would have expected a restaurant like this in Trussville. Laid-back atmosphere, scrumptious food, wonderful service. The meal came with a free ceviche appetizer. If you're in the mood for something different definitely give La Perla a try. I had the piña con crema. It was delicious!

The best as far as a marisquera goes! I've been to many different marisqueras and this one by far beat them all! The food was above what I expected. It was most very busy as most of these places tend to get but for the most part the wait staff and servers had it under control. Will most def be back!

"Shellfish" restaurant the likes of which you might find in Atlanta, San Francisco or Washington DC. Food? DELICIOUS!!! The menu is hard to understand, but the waiting staff explained. FRESH seafood in Trussville, AL? ABSOLUTELY!! I don't even like ceviche, but the mackeral (smoked?) had just the right toppings to blend to a divine taste treat. Don't care for crawfish, but simply HAD to suck heads on the diablo shrimp (hot). What an explosive combination of flavors! Who is the chef and where did he come from??? Extremely laid back atmosphere and a favorite new place to indulge in some different and absolutely wonderful food! Thanks!
