This place used to serve generous amounts of chicken, steak, and barbacoa. However, after several recent visits, we've noticed that the portions have become smaller. It's very unfortunate because they used to be consistent with the amount of portions they serve. The rest of the ingredients have stayed consistent. We've also noticed several flies in the kitchen and in the dining areas as well. If you look at the menu board, there are usually flies that hang around there. There are also flies that hover in the back kitchen where they prepare their meats, chicken, and veggies. We just hope the flies don't lay eggs on the food they prepare.

If you go this particular location after, say, 8 PM, they WILL be out of something. And usually something important like chips or guacamole. One time they were out of rice. RICE. I usually make a point to go to the Chipotle on Hwy 280 even though this one is closer to home. Never had a problem at the other location and they've never been out of anything, even right before closing time.

The food is good, but the service was lackluster this visit. They were kinda skimpy on the meat, so I politely requested that they add extra. They had no problems accommodating the request. I have a bowl weakness, so I'll be back!

Day after Thanksgiving out to get something to eat. My wife and I are waiting in line, nothing to do but watch the crew work.. So im watching the guy cut the red onions wondering how he deals with onion eye; well I found out. He pulled a few paper towels from the dispenser to his right and wiped his eyes and his nose.. I'm thinking "of course he'll wash his hand and reglove, NOPE, he went on pealing onions.. What! Are you kidding.. Sooooo gross!!!!

They have a new staff of people and they are not friendly at all. I get the chicken bowl and they barely feel it up. Think I'll start going to the 280 location

I'm always addicted to Chipotle that I can come here for any reason or no reason at all. Did I just have lunch? Well, I'll come by here and pick something up for dinner. My only gripe about this Chipotle was the stinginess of the food. When I asked for half chicken and half steak, they gave me so little chicken that I could see most of the bottom of the spoon and for the first time, had to ask for more. I forgot if they charged me double-meat for chicken pieces I can count with one hand. That was a huge downer since I would never ask for more of a meat item and I've always expected Chipotle to be generous with their portions. Other than that, I still enjoyed my meal. The interior of this Chipotle is very pretty...not enough for a date, but nice enough for a quick evening out before getting other things taken care of.

This place is always jumping. The staff is usually kind and attentive. So, I frequent it more than I should. :-)

I am a fan of Chipotle the brand just not this restaurant, we arrived about 35 mins before closing & they were out of about just about everything that went to a burrito. Trying to find something to eat that's fairly healthy after 9p in Bham is a bit of a challenge. Customer service could have been better.

Would not recommend this particular chipotle. Not a friendly staff. I feel the Chipotle on the 280 is way better than this one both in terms of service and food preparations.

Let me begin with saying I've been to more Chipotles than any good woman should. Chipotle is by far my favorite chain restaurant and you can never go wrong with Chipotle. Ever. I frequented this location a few times and unfortunately I've been least impressed with this location for one reason. They keep their food too cold, and sometime it can freeze the food a bit. The staff is so friendly, and the service is quick (a rare quality in Alabama). All in all great place to enjoy Mexican food, but on the elevated chipotle spectrum, it's not my favorite.

I'm a Chipotle addict and frequent this location about 2-3 times a week. I mostly place my orders online and for the most part they get them right and they are ready when I arrive. Today I placed an order to be picked up at 1:45pm. I got stuck picking up something at Dollar General so I was 30 minutes late to pick up my order. So imagine my surprise when I found out my order wasn't ready. The cashier Stephanie told me someone quit and she would explain to me why my order wasn't ready once she cleared out the line. After about 10 minutes she then said my order was given to another customer. It's really hard to believe that another customer got the same exact thing in their burrito and burrito bowl but I continued to wait. Finally she asked another guy on the line how to find my order since it had already been settled out. He showed her how to recall my order but still no one was making it. I asked to speak to Carlos the General Manager and he had the nastiest attitude I've ever encountered from a manager. He was also very nonchalant about the situation. Even after he came out my and I told him what was wrong my order still wasn't being made. He had to go down the line and tell them to make my order. I paid and got my food and went to car. But, I became angry at the way I was treated as a loyal customer. So I went back in and gave him my food and asked for a refund. I then went to the Hwy 280 location and they were very pleasant and the staff took great care of me.

I title this review: The Wrath of the Guac Nazi Chipotle gets 5 stars. This location gets 2. I love Chipotle. As a vegetarian, there are not many fast food places I can have a substantial meal at. My issue is the guac nazi, whenever I see this lady I nearly walk right back out the door. I always order the veggie burrito bowl, usually don't get cheese or sour cream. The star of the show is Chipotle's delicious guacamole. Now, I have been to many Chipotles so I know the typical guac serving. Guac nazi likes to give half a serving. So, I ask for a little more. She responds "costs extra" - leading me to plead for a little more, then she adds a dab. This happens EVERY TIME. Will I keep going to this location? Probably, but I would go much more often if I didn't have to deal with this awkwardness.

As a long time patron of this establishment, I have noticed a steady decline in the quality of the ingredients here. I do not know what to attribute this to, however, I can no longer accept it. This business prides itself on freshness, and when I wanted something tasty, but, light, it was always a good choice. Whether it is under new management, or, if they've made some recent hires of people that just don't care as much. Either way, I can't do it any more.

Yet another favorite of mine that I've failed to review thus far. Chipotle - what can you say? The company constantly boasts about how its ingredients are a fresh, healthier choice over their competitors, and I have to say I believe it. Every experience I've had at Chip has been great - the restaurant is constantly clean, the food is consistently well-prepped, and the people are always pretty good at the customer service thing. I definitely don't walk out feeling cheated, or hungry for that matter; and the ingredients really do taste straight-out-of-the-garden / straight-from-the-grill fresh. In fact, Chipotle's basically become a staple in the "grab a quick, fulfilling bite for under the wait-staff-restaurant price" for me, and I don't plan on that changing anytime soon. So next time you're looking for that southwestern fix, without wanting to feel like you have to hock gold to pay for it, give the joint a try. Hasn't failed me yet -

It is 2:30 and 11 folks are in line. The food is healthy and good and fairly priced. They now have no GMO items.

I always liked the food at chipotle but today was shocked and embarrassed by a rude staff. Bad!!! Will not be visiting this location again!!!

One of many favorite "healthy fast food" options while traveling. Very plentiful scoops and fresh ingredients. Friendly service and good ingredients make this location a must visit.

I loooove this place. The food is so good, the people are always uber friendly, and they're one of the few places that still serve Coca-Cola. (No, Pepsi will not be alright!) I always get a burrito bowl with black beans, extra extra rice, and mild salsa and that's it. That rice must have crack in it, since I would be happy eating it all day. Plus, this is one of those semi-fast food places that I don't feel guilty eating. It seems pretty healthy. (Don't know how true that is or not!) I can't believe how nice the people are who work there. Once I had to wait a couple of minutes on them to make more rice, and the guy who was ringing me up said making people wait wasn't their style and my food was free. He even tried to give me some chips and salsa on top of that! It really wasn't necessary since I didn't have to wait any longer than it would've taken me get through the drive-thru at McDonald's.

Best of the semi-fast food Mexican places. Fresh ingredients make all the difference. Can be healthy, if you want. A little bit pricey for the extras like chips & salsa (free at Moe's) and guacamole (free at Qdoba) but certainly the best quality.

Good "fast food" mexican joint. Not calories-friendly though!!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
