This is location is more like a substandard food chain. It's kinda disappointing, because all the Chik Filas in the city really focuses on the quality food and store appearance. This location drops the ball with rude service, messy counter tops, and food that doesn't meet expectations. It didn't feel like I was in a Chik Fila...Hope they take notice and make some changes!

They need to hire more cashiers...saturday am and line is out the door and only 2 folks taking orders. Had to wait about twenty mikes to get food. If i want crappy service i can go to mcdonalds. Hey Truett this is not what you guys are about.

This location has worked out far better than I imagined. The parking lot and "drive thru/up" is vey accommodating. It's a great place to hold a meeting as there is a private room. The layout is comfortable and clean and I like that they have so many different seating options. This is my first time to have the spicy breakfast chicken sandwich. Very good! I don't love the regular chicken biscuit, so this may be more enticing! Staff very pleasant and provide quick service. Love me some chik fil a!

It's the same food as the rest, but this location seems a bit slower than average. Not the most well kept location either. If they worked on their service a bit and gave the place a good cleaning, it would be 4 stars due to its great location.

I've visited this chick fil a many times and every time I think it is the worst location I've been to. The food is always soggy and really greasy. The service is slow and they aren't always polite.

Its tough to get in and out of the parking lot at peak hours given their "novel" curbside service used to bypass the city prohibition on a drive through line. Basically avoid the place if you're in a hurry because you will get trapped by the curbside line. Typical cfa quality. Subpar cfa service. The service today was simply irritating. The young lady asked if I wanted any sauce with my to go order. I asked for tabasco and she then pointed to the counter and said "it's over there in packages labeled Texas Pete". Why ask if I'm going to go and get it myself? They ask for a name when ordering and when the guy screamed out my name, I replied and gestured. He said that he thought it belonged to someone else. He screams my name again and I called him again. His coworker even pointed to me and he screams by name a third time and repeats my order but won't even look at me, just muttering that he didn't call me. On the forth time, he screams my name and I yelled back with equal intensity and hold up 4 fingers. This alone lead the entire line and half the customers to spin their heads in shock. He repeats the order and the name again and says the order in his hand is a number 1 not a number 4. I said the 4 fingers were for the number of times I'd tried to tell him that it was my order. He then tossed the bag at me and mumbled "sorry sir". I'm not a fast food expert but these guys seem to confuse efficiency with the appearance of efficiency. Stop screaming names and calm down a bit. If you have no intent on getting something for a customer, don't offer it to them. Back to the curbside line, I ended up finishing my entire order including drink trying to get out of the parking lot which was a gridlock because of the curbside line. Employees seemed uninterested in moving cars to let folks in or out. This was my first and final visit to this location.

I love Chick-fil-A for its superior customer service and food! I used to think it was a tad expensive for fast food, but found that it was silly to compare it to the cheap fast food chains. I'm truly not crazy about their waffle fries, but I guess that's just a good reason for me to eat a bit less or healthier there. This is an interesting location with a decent sized inside seating area as well as a welcoming, outside seating area and atmosphere. There is no drive through here because the city did not want massive lines of cars to accumulate in the streets waiting on the drive through. Lots of parking, kids' play area and free wifi. Very efficient location.

Good for fast food. Have to just try to ignore their political views.

I love Chickfila. It's my favorite fast food restaurant by far. I eat at this location at least once a week. The staff is always friendly and accommodating, the food is always good, the car-side service (since it doesn't have a drive-thru) is fast and convenient, and the manager of the store (David) is incredibly nice and helpful. I always notice that he will grab my refill and others if employees on the register are too busy, which keeps me from being deterred from the refill or extra item that I want. Plus, this one is in a great location. I've eaten here and walked to Renaissance Records around the corner, gone and sat in front of the church in 5 points, and even just the option of sitting outside on the bricks at night. This is just my favorite version of my favorite fast-food restaurant. If you're a Birminghammer or not, this is a Chickfila for you to visit.

This is a quite unique Chick-Fil-A. It has no drive thru! It seems to have a few places you can park in during lunch, and have some type of carryout service, however. I have reviewed CFA before, so I won't go much into the actual franchise itself. The service I got was pleasant, as usual. The only reason this isn't a 5 star review is that I had to wait about 5 minutes to get my food. While this isn't an unreasonable amount of time, I am just so accustomed to CFA getting you your food almost instantaneously. Most times, I haven't even paid yet and my food is on my tray. This is the closest location to my work, and has great scenery to look at outside via 5 Points, so I will be back.

This is about the busiest and most efficient fast food place I've ever seen. What I've never seen is an organization respond so well to.... ehhemmm... controversy like this chain has. Business is booming, at least at this location. Apparently, the opponents of opening a CFA here didn't want a drive thru in five points. So what you get instead is curbside service. Park in the designated spots next to the building and someone will come outside, take your order, and bring you your food.

I was alerted to the existence of this newly opened Chick-fil-A by a pal, and this franchise's marketing department sent me a postcard filled with generous coupons (five stars right there!), so of course there was no reason not to check it out. The particular Chick-fil-A is quite modern and clean. Regarding ordering, the queue can jam up a bit if there are a lot of customers. The cashiers are friendly and efficient, without a hint of surliness. There are plenty of tables inside, and I imagine the outdoor seating would be nice on not-so-sweltering days. Parking is a cinch.

This Chick-Fil-A doesn't have a drive through, so you MUST park your car and go inside to order. Fine, except for one thing, the owner towed my car while I was a customer at his restaurant and I had to come up with $285 cash to retrieve my car in the middle of the night when all the banks were closed. No response from the owner, but it seems that they are making almost as much from parking fees as they are from chicken. There are many other friendlier establishments in the area. Look elsewhere.

This Chick-fil-A is a welcome departure from the usual stylings of the popular fried-chicken chain and is probably the nicest major fast food establishment I've ever seen. The employees are also noticeably more friendly/attentive than their counterparts at other locations. Built in place of an old Ruby Tuesday, this Chick-fil-A lacks the usual drive-through option but more than makes up by being so ideally located in the heart of 5-Points South and within walking distance of UAB. The food is exactly the same as any other Chick-fil-A and the place is still closed on Sundays.
