We happened upon this bar as we were exploring the five points area of downtown Birmingham. We were drawn because we saw they had four frozen daiquiri machines and we love frozen drinks. We went on a Saturday and they were selling medium daiquiris for $5 each so we cozied up to the bar to have some drinks and watch the NBA game on the large flat screen above the service area. This is not a large place, there is some outside patio seating, a few couches and tables and then the bar. Food is not offered but they have an arrangement with a nearby Italian restaurant that will deliver a limited menu to the bar. The bartender was very friendly and made us feel welcome. On the night we were there, the crowd skewed largely African American but everyone was there to have fun and we fit right in (in our middle aged white minds anyway). One thing to keep in mind is they play the music rather loud, just a bit more than I would have liked, and its very raw hip hop style music. If you're offended by profanity or heavy use of the n-word in music, you wouldn't have liked it. We were watching the game and largely ignored the music so it wasn't an issue. The drinks were tasty and they had floaters for an extra $2, so we were able to have quite a few drinks and not break the bank. All in all we had a great time and would recommend this place for anyone looking for a drink.

The one plus to me is that it does have a little patio area outside. The inside is rather small, crowded, and loud. If you are a fan of "Fat Tuesday" drinks, then this would be a good spot to find them. The one that I tried was sickly sweet...no way I could have had more than one. The drinks are generally more expensive that most other bars too. I would be interested in trying the hookah sometime, since there are not many places in town that have them.

very small, cozy, maybe less than 20 seats surrounded the bar and a mini dance floor... only thing that would of made me wanna stay was the hookah pipe but seats were all full so I didnt get a chance and decided leave. i saw a patio area which would be great during the summer time.

I wan't very impressed. I guess it' supposed to be like the old Fat Tuesday's or The Daiquiri Shops in New Orleans, but the drinks here are pretty weak. Not to mention they didn't have half the drinks on the menu. Yes, this lil' hole in a wall with a capacity of 15 people ran outta certain drinks. Oh and the menu? I swear the pizza was Digiorno's and don't let those commercials fool you, it's not better than the real thing. They also had chicken fingers and fries for like $10. For that amount the chicken better come from Foghorn Leghorn and the fries imported from Idaho. And did I mention it was small? People mean mugged me and my friend all night because we sat on the only cushioned seats in the joint while they leaned against the wall or sat on bar stools. Don't hate cuz we were in "VIP"; no, seriously there was a lil' velvet rope next to us. The music wasn't bad and I could watch the game on the big screen, so it wasn't a total loss.

The hookahs are nice. The rag tag crowd makes for interesting people watching. And the bartenders are nice too. But, overall this is place just ....meh!

Attempted to come here one Sat night but it was so jam packed, I had to leave. The space is not that big so once it starts getting crowded, it's not that comfortable of an atmosphere. Recently came in on a Fri night to enjoy a couple of drinks around 7. Definitely a much better time to come in and not feel like you are bumping into everyone. Original bartender (guy) was great - very attentive and made good drinks (the kind that's not watered down or all you taste is juice). Good music in the background as well. Once it started getting later, additional bartenders arrived, mostly female... More worried about making their own drinks, looking cute and catching up on gossip than customer service. Had two friends meet up around 10 pm, literally 4 girls are behind the counter and not one of them paid any attention... Drinks they made us were watered down - my friend ordered a cosmo...the portion was half a small plastic glass...I've never ordered a cosmo anywhere that came out that small!! A martini glass holds more than that!! Ordered a pizza and I agree w/the previous reviewer, they should try doing what WOB does and work w/a nearby restaurant to serve food... I would have been open to coming back if the customer service and drinks weren't so horrible...smh

I don't drink daiquiris but the drinks are awesome! I disagree with the person below me: I've never seen 4 girls behind the bar at once. At best there's 2 maybe 3 bartenders. The cocktail waitress is a nice touch bc me and my friends didn't have to go stand at the bar to wait. After the first drink, we sat down and she kept coming to check on us. The staff is quick to help offer suggestions for drinks based on what we all wanted. Overall a good experience. Too bad there's not more than 1 bathroom. But I don't mind waiting in line. I got to watch a Celtics game on the tv by the bathroom so I had entertainment aside from the funny bartenders. I'll be back for sure.
