I ate here while I was in town for a medical school interview. I am from the west so I had never heard of Checkers and thought I would give it a chance. This was a bad idea. The food they gave me made McDonald's seem like high-quality food. It was rubbery, processed and disgusting. I am definitely glad I have good fast-food places like In-N-Out available here in the west!

For fast food this place is pretty good. I love the double drive thru! I usually like to have a passenger with me so we can go through the shorter left lane. Spicy chicken sandwich and the hot wings are what I usually order. The fries are pretty good too!

Checkers has a double drive-thru and the only complaint I really had about this place was that the double drive-thru is deceiving. I was on the other end of the pay window so I had to reach over. They really shouldn't have these things if the driver has to reach over the passenger seat to pay just so the restaurant can have 2 cars going through at once. It doesn't really save anyone time. I ordered the chili cheeseburger because I love chili cheeseburgers. I'm not sure if it was the best chili cheeseburger I've had but it satisfied my chili craving. There's no indoor seating. There's a lot of tables outside, so it functions kind of like Sonic but without the shade so take the food home with you.

I've never had a single good experience with a Checkers. This place is possibly one of the worst, too. I used to work very close to this place and the people whom I worked with liked to get burgers for lunch from here. They don't like to get burgers from Checkers anymore because of the last experience we had. There were live bugs in the food when it got back to the place and I'm pretty sure that walking across the street with the food did not bring these bugs inside the wrappers. It was disgusting and filthy and nasty. I guess this is what happens when you eat at a fast food place that caters to people who are too lazy to get out of the car. Still, this is absolutely horrible. When the food was brought back, they tried to say that we had put the bugs there and acted as if we weren't going to get anything from it. We eventually got money returned, but it took a long talk with the manager and a call to Checkers corporate before they cooperated at the store. All I can say is do not go to this place at all. Ever, Never go here. Stay Away. Eat your own children before eating this food!!!

I think this place is pretty good for nasty fast food! I usually get it pretty late because they are open til 3 but it has always been fast, hot and bug free!
