Okay let me say first: IT'S. OLIVE GARDEN. What do you expect? As a kid it always seemed delicious but their breadsticks have NEVER been the same. The food was like a TV dinner had been microwaved and then dumped onto a nice plate. The service was friendly and... Weird. He swapped out bread and drinks faster than you can say "we're still working on it" and he commented on the food in odd ways. It was actually kind of funny. All in all, probably won't come here again...

Not a fan. I give it 2 stars because our server was very friendly and attentive, but that's the only positive. I started with the chicken and gnocchi soup. The chicken they use isn't fresh chicken. It's the same kind of chicken in Campbell's chicken noodle, that cheap, pink, processed garbage. I picked it out which pretty much left me with celery, carrots and cream base. There were only 2 gnocchi dumplings in the whole bowl. For my entree, I had the chicken abruzzi. The chicken in this dish was good quality grilled chicken, but the broth that the beans and veggies were in just tasted really strange... And it was super salty. For dessert, I had the white chocolate raspberry cheesecake. It wasn't horrible, but it tasted cheap and frozen. The bathrooms, oh boy.... The first stall was full of all sorts of surprises, and it was overflowing into the floor. The second stall wouldn't lock, and the handicap stall had no toilet paper so I ended up in the second stall, holding the door closed with my hand. I really want to like Olive Garden, in general. I get a different dish every time I go to find that special one, but nothing has ever impressed me. I think I'm finally throwing in the towel after this experience and reserving my Italian meals for other restaurants that I'm already in love with. I highly recommend Joe's Italian in Alabaster. It's delicious!

This location has went severely down hill I t he last year. Management is absolutely awful and customer service is at an all time low. Good has no flavor anymore and recently the salad has been more brown than green. Bread sticks? You mean brick sticks. This place is getting to where it's almost always empty as well other than on Sunday's. Really wish they would step their A game back up!!!

Yes this is not real Italian food. I recognize that. The entrees are hit or miss and often depend on how busy they are at any given time. For me I do not go to Olive Garden for the entrees. I go for the endless soup or salad and those bread sticks. Good grief those bread sticks. If they were publicly traded I would own stock in them. And the salad dressing. Please just give me an IV and hook me up to that stuff. All in all you may end up getting a great meal or a blah meal but the comfort knowing the soup or salad and the bread sticks will be amazing is risk enough to go eat here.

Don't care for Olive Garden. There are much better choices especially in the greater B'ham area for Italian food. I'm of Italian descent and prefer Joe's Italian in Alabaster, Nino's in Pelham, or Salvatore's in Hoover. My favorite is Romano's Macaroni Grill at the Summit. Very good food, close to my Grandmother's who came to America from Italy. About the only thing I like at Olive Garden is the salad. Haven't been back since I tried it when they first opened.

We eat here quite a bit for a quick dinner when we don't want to cook. Food is always good, service is fast. It meets our needs as far as we're concerned!

Smells bad! I'm 50 and I couldn't get a glass of wine without an ID. Also. Ordered an appetizer as an entree and you have to pay extra to have salad with it. Not happy.

This place is clean, fast service, friendly employees. It's still just an Olive Garden, but it's the fastest one I've been to. We had a group of 6 for lunch. Seated within minutes and we got an attentive server. She brought everything just the way it was ordered. Enjoyable lunch! Only reason it's not 5 stars is because it's a chain. :)

Our family of 7 enjoyed every bite of the fresh food, every smile from the friendly staff, and every moment in this clean restaurant! We devoured a delicious mozzarella fonduta and I ordered the Tuscan Chicken w Asiago Tortullino, perfectly cooked asparagus and yummy bruschetta on the side.

The service at this Olive Garden is fabulous. The bar staff goes above and beyond :) and the food is always good. Even my mother, whom is not a fan if chains, or Olive Garden in general was very pleased when we ate here :)

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
