HOLY BURGERS BATMAN! I'm from New Orleans and we pride ourselves on delicious, juicy, well seasoned food. I was stunned. This place should be on the map as one of the best burger joints in the US. Plus crispy big garlic fries, ok, yeah! But seriously, maybe Homer is the hidden capital of delicious beef and burgers but I doubt it, I think this is a diamond in the rough and most definitely the best burger you're gonna get in Alaska. The other reviewers raving about this too are spot on. I got the mushroom and smoked cheddar burger med/rare and it was perfect. Damn, I should have taken a picture. But there was no time... Hours on the door of the bar read 2-9pm as of 11/14

I really wanted to try one of their "famous" gourmet burgers, but I wasn't up for a mountain of food. I just had some of the special for Wednesday wing night, and they were average. I'll write an update when I get a chance to try a burger.

Don't know about the restaurant but we stayed at the Beluga Lake Lodge for a couple of nights on our recent Alaska trip. KEY TIP: book your room over the phone, as their rates are actually lower than what they try to get through the Internet clearinghouse sites. Friendly check-in experience and solid housekeeping. A functional room that was rather small and smelled pretty funky. I still don't really know what was up with the smell--it wasn't terrible enough to be a problem, but it detracted. Is there such a thing as 'old room smell?' 2 stars in some places but in Homer for a (relatively) reasonable rate, I'd definitely be willing to stay here again.

Wow... Amazing burgers. The asagio burger was absolutely wonderful. It could very well be the best burger I've ever had. The view is pretty good; the service can be a little slow but there's no need to be in a rush... You're in Homer, AK, and pretty much everything runs on island time.

This year trip to Homer I ate at the beluga lake lodge. Had the garlic asaigo burger, wow what a great burger. If you are ona date I think twice about the burger if you want to kiss after, unless you both have one. Great flavor, plenty of meat. My side was there onion rings. Big and tasty. They have a several selections of burgers, that's what they are known for. If you are ever in homer stop in and have a buger. They are located on the main road just past Beluga Lake.

My husband and I decided to give our old favorite one more chance. Silly us. Our appetizer, the southwestern egg rolls were still frozen in the middle! Then, with a clear view of all of the activities in the kitchen, I see the cook plate our burgers and THEN begin to cook the fries. My burger was a soggy mess by the time I got it. My husband had ordered it medium and it was rare. On my steak, this is fine. Not my previously frozen meat patty! They no longer have the free formed certified Angus beef, but frozen patties. The service was great and ignoring the soggy bun and picking out the raw middle of my burger, it had great flavor. Unfortunately, we will not be returning. I am so sad.
