From the reviews here on YELP we based our decision to eat at this establishment. The positives:The building is clean. The negative : The server never brought Chips and Salsa. The food was not " authentic" Pour out of the can cheese was obvious. The staff was not friendly .Please do your patrons a favor and serve the food fresh ,not out of a can and try to be friendly.

The fish enchiladas was a good choice. No dessert menu but if you ask, the chef might suggest something from ingredients on hand. We got a fruit filled chimichanga topped with whip cream. Will post a photo.

They opened the door almost 10 minutes late but the woman was nice and said she had a car issue. It was very clean, nice environment. There were two young kids zoned out to the tv/half asleep at on of the tables. With only two groups it took longer than expected for our margaritas and the waitress forgot the double shot. She brought them out in shot glasses. They really weren't half bad. It was kind of a bummer watching TLC's "Say Yes to the Dress" on two big tv's. Not sure the guys at the bar enjoyed it either. The chips were good but the salsa isn't authentic. It tastes like it came out of a jar. They we're out of rice so we were offered an option of extra beans or a salad. The salad came out on the plate with the food and was a little bit of lettuce topped with tomatoes and olives. My girlfriends enchilada was good as were my son's chicken fingers but my steak quesadilla wasn't good at all. The steak was dry and overall they were flavorless. The waitress and bartender were talking behind the bar and didn't even see the couple that had walked in. They eventually walked out after not being helped. There was no one at the front to host or assist guests. It was a disappointment as the restaurant has a lot of potential.

Tasty and fresh for a good price. The only minor complaint is that it's pretty bland for Mexican but easily remedied with some hot sauce. I'll be back.

Great tacos and margaritas. Don't be fooled by the small exterior this place has a full bar and lots of tv screens if you want to watch a game.

Lots to like about this place, but the food. The whole reason you go to a restaurant. It is in a small space that works very well for what it is. the staff was friendly and helpful. The food was the worst "Mexican" I have ever had in my life, hands down. just because you wrap some items up in a tortilla, does not a burrito make. Presentation on the plate was good. STAY AWAY IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR MEXICAN FOOD. You would be better off with Taco Bell, that's saying a lot.

We were finishing our cruise ship tour and decided to go to the ice carving theater (great place to go ) afterwards wandered into this place. I had the Pozole , a wonderfully refreshing soup with pork, hominy and topped with cilantro . a nice choice on a chilly night. My husband had the toco salad, he enjoyed that as well. The presentation is very nice too.Our friends had the enchiladas and the portions are generous, and worth the $$ for a nice place to stop after a long day. The outside of the restaurant looks nothing like the interior. The interior is decorated nicely. Try this place out!

Great charm and great service. Good food, and drinks. Ordered chimichanga dinner and tacos. $12.95 and $9.95, good portions like traditional Mexican places. Chips were good but salsa tasted like jarred (but it was free), everything else tasted fresh. Bar area seating is. Lot of fun but they have more intimate restaurant seating area too. They have some "American" food choices too. Funky downtown spot. We are from Southern California and have enjoyed lots of Mexican food. This food was fresh (except the salsa) and the food comes out looking fancy and polished, not sloppy like other places.

Been here twice now. This place REALLY needs to hire some decent help. I'd like to say it was just that it was busy due to it being during the Midnight Sun Festival, but the last time we were here, there were only a few tables and it still took forever for us to be taken care of. We were at a table, but ended up having to go to the bar for service. I mean, the food and drink is fine, but it's hard to enjoy your experience when you're not even being seen by the staff.

Come on Yelpers. I rely on you. Maybe 3 is a slap in the face, but doesn't deserve a 4. Jessica was phenomenal. Bubbly personality....too bubbly for me, but I understand people like that. She was great. Asked what she liked best. She recommended pork taco and brisket burrito. Neither disappointed. The only issue was Jessica had the bar, the tables, the take-out, and the dishes. This Cinderella keeps the place afloat. Three peeps in the kitchen staring at screens while she's working. Man, if she had help this place could go 5 star.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
