High Cholesterol at Whataburger

Calorie intake is the main concern for people with high cholesterol while dining at a fast-food restaurant like Whataburger. Well, you can always try the Lighter & Smaller options from the menu to cut down your fat intake. Opting for grilled sandwich or burgers are preferred compared to double meat or triple meat cheesy burgers which contain high cholesterol.

Foods to Avoid at Whataburger for High Cholesterol

Cut down on your meat intake to control your high cholesterol. You must skip Double Meat Whataburger and Triple Meat Whataburger at all costs. You should also avoid Avocado Bacon Burger and Monterey Melt as both these burgers contain a high amount of fat. Sweat & Spicy Bacon Burger will add extra 1080 calories in your diet so skip that as well. Whatacatch Dinner may sound tempting but the famous fish sandwich is also full of calories and unhealthy fat. Lastly, avoid French Fries and Onion Rings at Whataburger if you are already ordering a burger or any other heavy meal.

It is so nice to have a great restaurant option that is close to my office. I am one that enjoys trying new places and it is so great that Anchorage has such an eclectic array of choices when it comes to food. This is a laid back place where you can watch a football game and have a beverage and some good food. It is more of a sports bar type atmosphere so can be a bit loud at times. I had the crab cakes which were wonderful and very filling. I really like the numerous choices they have for appetizers as I get a craving to just socialize a bit and make a meal of just appetizers. This is a great spot to hit on your lunch hour as well. I will say that this place is worth a try.

Table 6 is the little brother to Haute Quarter Grille, which may be a large part of the reason I keep giving Table 6 a chance. I think the atmosphere is kind of funky fun, but the ceilings are very high and I believe the floor is polished concrete lending to a lot of bouncing noise. It's not really an intimate atmosphere for catching up with friends or to have a romantic date, but is probably suitable for any 'ol average night out. The food is eclectic and I have a hard time pining down what exactly they are trying to be. There are a lot of bar standard appetizers like nachos and wings, and yet there's also steamer clams and crab sliders. You can get a large selection of burgers/sammies, but you can also get more upscale fare in pastas, fish, and what they call the "bubble and squeak" or shrimp & grits. I had the crab sliders last night and they were quite good with an ample amount of crab (3 for 14.95). In the past I have had the bolognese, which was outstanding and I am incredibly sad that they took it off the menu. Other meals I have had here were good, but not anything to scream from the rooftop about. The shrimp & grits was rich & tasty enough, but the portion size left me longing for more. I had the Peanut Stir Fry last night and it was just ok. The tofu was small and tasteless (I think they deep fry it, actually). It just didn't wow me. My companion had the meatloaf and was quite pleased with it - I tried it myself and it had a very rustic, herb-driven flavor. There's a good selection of beer, wine, and cocktails. I just keep teeter tottering on this place and although it hasn't "sold" me, I want to keep believing it can.

Every time I've come here, it's been a local recommending it. I can see why; the food is always good and includes that extra creative and healthy step. They have a full bar, and I'm glad you don't get any judgement here when getting a cocktail with lunch. Their waitstaff is also very courteous and fast. The only hangup I have is that it's painted on the inside like Red Robin. Flying cartoon burgers with flames coming off them? Why? They're certainly catering to the adult crowd, so I'm confused as to why it looks like a kindergarten classroom and playing early 2000 club music. Tone it down a bit and I think a lot more folks would fill the booths... but that's just my opinion.

This is a good place to eat at and the food is pretty good, but it can be a bit loud. It's sorta like a sports bar and a café rolled up into one. Not sure if that works together well, but the libations and food selection is good. It's my third favorite place to go to in Anchorage, the second being Spenard Roadhouse and the first being Haute Quarter Grille.

A group of us went in the and we ordered several different items. First the wings and quasadillas were very yummy lots of flavor and spice. Then BBQ ribs, seafood pasta, southwestern pasta, and ravioli those dishes were AMAZING! BBQ was very flavorful not over powering in spice, pastas were both yummy lots of veggies, not an over powering rich sauce and the ravioli were stuffed right they weren't too rich. We had ordered several drinks as well and they were decently priced and good too. The service there was awesome! I would defiantly take friends there when I am back in anchorage again

A fun place to eat and they have some of the best burgers. I've tried many things off the menu and they were all good. Classic americana dishes with may I say "gourmet" twists to them. The burgers specifically are what I come for. The bun is soft, the toppings are fresh, the burger sauce is great, the single patty itself is tasty and its as big as a double burger elsewhere. The fries are straw thin which is different from any other restaurant I've ever had but they're good that way because every fry is to the crispiness I prefer. I've only had good experiences with the service and I don't feel afraid to try anything off the menu with everything I've tried being very good. Nice little bar and a fun atmosphere.

This place was pretty great and we definitely enjoyed the food. The menu had a little bit of everything and reminded me of comfort food :-) our waiter was wonderful. The sweet potato fries were awesome (a bit greasy but still great) and my husband enjoyed his shrimp po' boy. Service was swift and courteous. Will definitely be returning to try other menu items.

I've eaten here a few times but forgot to review it. Recently went for lunch with a visiting friend. I had a halibut burger with fries. It is your normal fish burger but comes with an artichoke tarter sauce, which I found to be a bit lacking in flavor. I asked for some additional regular tarter sauce, and some lemon. Once I added those two things it was much better and very tasty. Their fries are very thin and remind me of potato sticks. I really like them. I had a piece of peanut butter pie for dessert this time. It was very rich but had good texture and flavor. I previously had a catfish meal there as well which was served over some red beans and rice, with sauteed red chard. The fish was a tiny bit salty but overall the dish was very tasty and I enjoyed it. My friend has had the cod with the strawberry salsa twice now and loves it, and their cornbread is also very delish. I've previously eaten the Po boy sandwich and had some kind of pasta there as well, as a burger. Truthfully I have never really had anything bad here. It's consistently good, and the service is great as well. They are a little spendy though. Our recent waitress was very friendly and helpful. I would really like to give them 3.5 stars, I don't think they are a 4, but not a 3 either but since I can't do that I'll go on the high side rather then low.

Let's see... meatloaf, burgers, fish of the day, good soups... yep. Good place to eat.

This place has a great staff, wonderful food, and is pretty reasonable. It its clean and inviting, with some very palatable entrees. This would be my 'Cheers' if I lived here...will return several times before my return in June to Michigan..

I try not to exaggerate too much when I write a review (I come by it honestly if you ever meet my mother), whether positive or negative, because I use yelp to make decisions and like to read honest opinions. So giving 5 stars to Table 6 makes me hesitate, as I've been there many times and had some FANTASTIC experiences and some that were average. But when I consider the fact that it is the only place in Anchorage that I consistently want to go, whether for "date night," a drink before a movie, or dessert (luscious, boozy Banana Foster milkshake, dying.), I think I have to own that Table 6 is my favorite local restaurant. Food wise, I've never been disappointed. On the regular menu: the chicken sandwich with Brie (it has an acronym whose letters I'll transpose if I try), is delicious. Frankie hasn't turned back since ordering their Black and Bleu burger. The chicken quesadilla is amazing--the hoisin sauce makes it unique and slightly sweet. I've also tried their specials a time or two and been delighted. They made a ranchero chicken enchilada that was pretty epic. Truthfully, there isn't anything I wouldn't try at Table 6. Service wise, which is usually my biggest pet peeve (I've spent over a decade in the industry--it's second nature), it's been spotty. Given, I've only sat at the bar, and on nights with varying degrees of "busy," but I have had both benign neglect from a bartender and stellar attentiveness, too (reddish, curly-haired female bartender with glasses: outstanding; forgive my forgetfulness on her name). I've never had what I would call bad service here, though, and that alone makes it a boon in my book. The beer, of course, is local and a pretty wide selection with a few rotating seasonals. They also have a full liquor bar and make some interesting-sounding cocktails. And, redundancy be damned, the booze-based dessert milkshake is to die for. Table 6 is casual, a little funky (with Dr. Seuss quotes everywhere), and a great place for almost any occasion. Maybe I'll see you there.

The food here is REALLY good!! We got wings for the appetizer, I got the flatbread special and my husband got a burger. They were above average and the food came out piping hot! They were very professional, friendly and quick. I thought the food was really fresh. We usually sit at the bar and do so here, so it's important to have a good staff for us at the bar, so we're not always looking around to be helped and they were on top of it :)

  • Cristopher T.

Had a great time here excellent food and service. They have a fun selection of beers and all their food is made in house. The decor is a little weird. I'm not sure what they were going for, but it is a bit distracting.

This place has quality local foods. The fresh Copper red salmon was lightly blackened and cooked just right with strawberry.

  • Robbie T.

We went there for appetizers I had the salmon dip it was yummy great service. The place was packed so took a couple minutes to find a table. But right when one opened they were on it..clearing it for us to be seated.

  • Geoff Y.

Great beer an wine selections, attentive staff, and a cozy atmosphere. While we did not sample the meals this trip, we did grab the simple chips and salsa app. Cheap and overly salted chips with watery salsa. Not reflective of the menu and hope they revisit this offering.

  • Steve S.

Had lunch there today. My friend recommended the fork & knife sandwich ( grilled cheese) and it was excellent. It came with a cup of soup - not sure what kind of soup but it was also yummy. The service was good - I don't think our waiter introduced himself tho. It was a little pricey for a lunch menu - $12.95 for grill cheese and soup. But I'll still give it 5 stars because the food was excellent and the atmosphere was also great.

  • Brian I.

I really like to eat here - although the scope of what I usually have is limited. My son and I go here before movies, and we like to seat ourselves in the more casually seated side. My son and I split the amazing cheeseburger with the fries, and the onion rings are sweet, not too greasy and paired with a "Mexican coke" for him and one of the awesome beer selection, we have a good time, every time. The service has been OUTSTANDING, every time we've been there, of course it's always the same lady. One of my son and I's regular spots.

Yay! A really classy, affordable restaurant! We were pleasantly surprised. Wish we had this in Eagle River! Come back!

Outstanding! In town for business, I took a client to Table 6 on his recommendation and had a fabulous lunch with terrific service. I ordered the lunch special, blackened cod over rice, with a light strawberry sauce (very little and a good augmentation to the blackened cod), with grilled vegetables. It was cooked to perfection! The cod was moist and flaky, with just the right amount of seasonings. And the vegetables were also grilled to perfection - so often, the veggies that come with an entre are an afterthought - but not here. They were cooked with the same care and quality as the cod. Very nice plating presentation too. Service was spot on - our waiter checked on us regularly and kept our iced tea full. Great food, great service, at a very good price (for Alaska!) Dave

Due to dietary restrictions I recently began eating vegan. Table 6 was my first experience eating out since the diet change. The server and chef worked beautifully with me to find a fantastic meal! The mushroom sandwich was to die for!!

Great server, fun atmosphere, loved the menu options and variety. Love the funny painted decor on the wall, the food was EXCELLENT, and the prices were fair. Plenty large enough portions for me. I would recommend this restaurant and I plan to return.

The food and drinks here were delicious. But our waiter was just atrocious. His name was Jesse, and I don't know if he was having a bad day or what, but not only was he extremely short with us, he also tried to rush us out while we were still finishing our drinks. I found this especially insulting considering we were there to celebrate my mother's 57th birthday. I had to knock off two stars just because of this waiter's rude attitude. I'd still recommend the place, but if you're seated in Jesse's area I'd suggest requesting to be seated in a different area. Everyone else we encountered were perfectly present.

  • T.L. T.

I've been here twice, ho hum. The burgers are ok, better at kriners diner. The service was tolerable the first time, but the 2nd time even worse. Our waiter spent most of the evening playing grabass with a coworker. If you wanted the waiter, just look for the bussers ass. Kind of a boring same old same old place

  • Benton C.

We had a table of six(ha ha) and were greeted in a quick and timely manner. I had the two handed CBLTA and it was excellent. Would definitely recommend. The fries are excellent, maybe the best I've ever had. The food is affordable and the portions are a great size. There are a lot of tv's, so if those annoy you, then this might not be the place.

    (5)
  • Jill L.

The grilled cheese and tomato soup were decent, nothing spectacular...I still like this place. The broccoli salad is amazing and so is the service! Rare for anchorage, sadly.

  • Christopher C.

ive had the food before and its better than most places. that being said... i tried to place a togo order and after going through the recorded options (for fkn real?! why cant the hostess pick up, people want to talk to people not recordings) i get through to someone. 1. i couldnt hear the gal talking, too much ambient noise. 2. she put me on hold to take my order 3. after waiting 2 minutes i hear someone pick up just to put me back on hold. after the third minute i hung up. i was willing to give these guys business but i was really put off by the recording and the wait to place an order. i will prolly go there and eat but if they provide sub par service i wont go back. definitely not going to call again.

  • Kevin J.

I love the food and the service is always friendly and fast without being annoying. They have a good selection of Whisky and Scotch. Happy hour includes an excellent quesadilla and great wings. I visit this place at least once whenever I'm in town.

  • H F.

Meh. I was not impressed. Especially for the prices. Everything had a chlorine aftertaste, or worse. Starting with the lemonade through the too-fluffy "house-made foccacia bread" on the CBLTA, to the weird seafood pasta that was supposed to be pesto but was instead sundried tomatoes. The cake wasn't as dense as we were led to believe and the accompanying frosting was too sweet and the ice cream was too milky. I'm not a fan, especially of the uber small portions.

    (2)
  • Blake B.

Waiter was good, but can't say the same for everything else. Food took over 40 minutes to arrive for lunch, which is unacceptable. CBLTA was OK, the joke onion rings were not and I can't believe they have the gall to up-charge for them. Too expensive for what it is. I hope they actually take advice from those comment cards they hand out with the check.

  • Lard Belly E.

Still like this place. Some of the food is hit or miss, but I come here every Monday to watch football with a friend and we sit in the bar. I have received good service and fast delivery of food and drink. The nachos are huge, but I find it odd you have to order a side of salsa.

  • Jon A.

Good food, great seafood chowder, service was on spot. Only negative is the bread that was servers with my salmon ravioli was not well toasted. Place is busy but no wait.

My husband and I had dinner here a few weeks back and absolutely LOVED our experience. The wait was short and the service was spectacular. We got a hamburger and wings-- best around.

Fun environment but very uneven food quality. The fry cook only knows how to turn fish, chips & shrimp into breaded shoe leather! My shrimp poor boy was reduced to extremely over fried shrimp with the taste of old fish oil. Until they get better kitchen staff I won't be returning. The restaurant wait staff is excellent.

I love this place! The food is delicious, service is great, and so is the atmosphere. I live on East Side so the location is a plus as well. For me, this is one of those places where everything on the menu sounds great and I have a tough time deciding on what to get! My favorite wine here is the Angeline cab. It goes perfectly well with the "cheese bread for girls" which you've gotta try. If you order a bottle and can't finish it they will make it a "doggy bag" to take the rest home. So glad for this nice addition to midtown.

  • Jeremiah L.

This is the place I eat at the most good atmosphere, excellent staff amazing variety on the menu! Bad Ass specials (because I have had everything on the menu at least once). You will not find an Applebee's or a Chili's or a Texas Roadhouse that serves better food. Gourmet style appetizers, quite possibly the best Mac n' cheese on the planet. They do takeout. Have a great bar area and a good dining area as well. They do a happy hour for appetizers that gives a discount the time escapes me but I think their website says when. I have been to a couple of special events for midnight sun and Denali brewing and it was bad ass! Great place!

The quesadilla was delicious and they have a great selection of beer as well. It took a little bit before we got service in the bar area. All around a good experience.

I love this place. Food is awesome, good selection of local beer on tap and friendly service. Salmon with citrus glaze is insane. Plus you can always get a descent table.

My wife and I were really excited to try this restaurant after reading the reviews by actual local food critics.. Well, like they say. the first impression is everything and it was not really that good. For Anchorage, I can say that the food was average and was not worth the cost especially for the small portions. Our waiter was cold and unfriendly. He didn't introduce himself or really truly engage us in any conversation. It was like ordering at the drive up window. The Chicken Pasta - I got one piece of bread with my meal and they were going to charge me another .75 cent for another piece. The cream was too heavy and gad about 5 - 8 small pieces of chicken in the dish. Broccoli Salad was small and average. I added a Half breast of "Grilled" chicken at a cost $6. Hint to the Waiter: When asked how the kitchen prepares the chopped chicken (added to the Broccoli Salad), do not mention the word "microwave". Big turn off. Overall impression: food - average, expensive, and small portions, staff - not very engaging, environment - Modern and comfortable, Our first time and our last time. We do however enjoy the owners other restaurant located in Eagle River - "The Haute Quarter Grill" . . Better everything across the board.

Had the ravioli. It was okay. Seems like a nice joint and I will try it again. The staff is really nice and willing to make suggestions. Good beer selection and not a bad wine selection...they had two cans that were not Bare Foot or Sutter lol. Lots of booze at bar.

Delicious every time. Mouth watering juicy cheese burgers & french fries. Also, fun presentation with fries. Kids love it and so do mom & dad.

Two stars because my experiences prior to the one I'm about to describe were O.K. but not stellar. Lunchtime with the Wife. She orders a pasta with white sauce and I order a sandwich. Pasta comes out with hair in it. Should not have sent it back but we did for the same thing. Waiter apologized but never offered to comp anything. Manager was not notified and no one came to apologize to us or offer anything. We had completely lost our appetites and lunch was ruined. If it were my restaurant, I would have at least offered one of the meals if not the entire check comped. The manager should have been notified and action taken. None of that here. Have not been back since.

I've been here at least 10 times since its opened but I've only tried two items...because they are both so good I never want to order anything else. Their ravioli with pancetta is so good, very rich and perfectly seasoned, it was the first thing I tried there but then one day I tried their bacon cheeseburger...and that was that. I'm pretty sure I've been on a perpetual diet for the last decade and I am horrible at it, but one rule I made for myself is the "cheat day"...or in my life it's known as "the weekend". Anyone on a diet knows about cravings, so once Wednesday hit I would usually know what I couldn't wait to have on Friday or Saturday. Sometimes randomly I craved Mexican food or just a big bowl of Captain Crunch but every Friday without fail the ONLY thing I wanted was the bacon cheeseburger ( and their perfect fries) at Table 6. Also, best appetizer: cheese bread for girls and they have Happy Hour! The wall art alone is enough to keep me coming back

There was a lot to like about Table 6. Upon walking into the restaurant, I was immediately impressed by the layout, which manages to be both very open, yet intimate. With giant, fun food-themed murals on the wall, there's a lot to take in, and a lot to discuss while waiting for your table. Look, food is playing poker! And, wow, giant burger rocket! The menu had many enticing options. The beer list was extensive and heavily local. The staff was friendly and welcoming. And the food was... food. Seth and I shared the spinach salad and the CBLTA, and while both were tasty, neither one left us blown away and wanting more. Both seemed to be missing any nuance that would really make them stand out and be special. The tossed spinach salad was thickly coated in its dressing, with nuts, cheese crumbles, cranberries, bacon, onions and sun dried tomatoes piled on top. The chicken sandwich was dripping with bacon, brie, avocado. All of those things sound heavenly when written out, but in the end, the sandwich was just a chicken sandwich with a bunch of stuff heaped on it, and the salad was buried beneath its toppings - it didn't know what it wanted to be, and so it didn't manage to be much of anything. This, I think, is Table 6's quandary. It doesn't know what it wants to be. It seems to be shooting for "upscale burger joint", but the menus are paper and stained with the last guest's dinner, and the water glasses are big, red, Godfather's Pizza-style restaurant supply store specials. That could be considered quirky, as they are definitely going for a zany and fun angle, but it doesn't quite jive, especially with the prices. If they focused on the food and really knocked it out of the ballpark, then it might all come together. But for now, as Seth put it, they're basically just Red Robin with less s**t on the walls.

Decent place with decent food (review for early January). Cheese bread for girls - really good. Like how the fruits give this a 'sweet' kick. Don't let the name steer you fellas away. This with a glass of beer to begin with is just... :D Asian chicken salad - wasn't bad, but lacking something... Oh, and way too many bean sprouts. Maybe because it was served on a small oval plate, I felt like $14 was a rip off for this salad. I also think adding fried wonton crackers or sticks will make this salad look a little more appealing. Clam Linguine - friend had this and she enjoyed her dish, except for the lack of sauce. If you like your pasta creamy and sauce-y, you can ask for more sauce, but it will cost you an extra $2 since they make the sauce from scratch. There's more clams in the extra sauce than the actual dish. Seafood pasta - this dish is just a no. I did not like it at all. It tasted really fish-y. Definitely not worth the $20. Overall, I'd come back here again.

The mac and cheese was really good. I like their fries, though they are frozen. The food is pricey, service is always ok. I am not super impressed with their menu, I wish I had a few different options after a few years of the same things. I love the art on the walls!

While visiting Anchorage I used Yelp to find vegan restaurants and this place popped up. When we got there I spotted beans and rice on the menu but I am so glad I asked how it was cooked! They use CHICKEN BROTH in a dish identified as vegetarian on their menu! We left. I can't tell you if the food is good or not but I can tell you that after talking to their staff, THIS PLACE IS NOT VEGAN. IT DOES NOT HAVE VEGAN FOOD.

Bad service . Forgot about us when we asked for a little more time to review the menu. Ordered $20 meat loaf plate & pasta dish for the kid & they brought me the wrong order after a long wait. By the time I could get someones attention regarding wrong order my kids dinner was about gone so I wasn't about to wait for the to prepare another meat loaf so I went with out dinner . No straws offered for sodas, no refills . Bad 1st impression can't say that this place will get a 2nd chance for another bad impression.

Great place for Happy Hour! Margarita's are the best in town...the mix is a perfect combination of sweet and sour..(they make it themselves). Happy Hour appetizer menu is great, the chicken nachos are FANTASTIC. Bartenders Tina and Chris are the BEST. Their cheeseburger with bacon and egg added is TO DIE FOR. Best I have ever had, and the shoestring fries are awesome too. Sitting on the bar side is the best choice, very homey and comfortable. Good service, and fun place to hang out.

I think their caesar is bomb-tastic. The only thing I don't like is that it's too small. I want a gigantic bowl of that salad. I'm not deluded... I'm sure it's not good for you... but good golly it is delicious. Other menu items that turn my screw include: -Reuben sandwich -French fries (underscore this one... they are crispy, small, and lovely) -Onion rings -Mushroom soup

I've been to Table 6 several times. My experience is that the food is pretty good but not worth the price. My experience with the service was horrible. Everytime I have been there it's been extremely cold, no matter where they sit you. The last time I went I asked for a seat away from the breeze from the door and the server sat me in direct line to the door. Also, when I ordered I told the waitress I absolutely didn't want fries. I was ordering their burger that has sauteed mushrooms on the top. I asked if I could substitue a the cucumber salad for the fries, she stated that they can't do that with that particular salad. I told her that I would pay for the salad and the burger but I didn't want fries. I received my salad first, which I should have gotten my burger with my salad but she just assumed that I wanted it first. But when she brought me my burger there were fries. I reminded her again that I didn't want fries, and then in a very snotty tone she stated "We talked about this." Just an FYI to all waiters and waitresses, when a customer states they don't want something, leave it off the plate. I am choosing not to go back... and I am also telling everyone I know my experience and that they charge to much.... I have given them more than enough times to prove themselves to me.

This establishment is a spin-off from the Haute Quarter grill in Eagle River. The menu and food are adequate. Like the Eagle River establishment, the food seems better when the owners are actually there. This is based on 15 years of experience in E.R. You just don't know what the food quality is going to be like. We stopped going for New Years, the wait staff is good - but not as attentive as when they first started up. I don't think either of these establishments have the mid-level expertise that the owners can let them run on "autopilot". It's sad.

Another disappointing dining experience. My family and I just finished eating here and were supremely underwhelmed. My boys love burgers and fries, but none of them liked the ones at Table 6. The patty was dry, the Costco buns burnt. The dressing was simply mayo and mustard mixed together. The fries were pretty good, but don't make up for the poor, small burger and $11 price tag. I ordered the small green salad for $6.50 and wound up with a tiny portion of romaine with MINCED tomatoes and cucumbers. I was so hungry afterward that I ate my youngest son's burger that he wouldn't touch. The service was okay. I felt bad for our waitress, though. It's almost as though she, too, was embarrassed by the food I have to agree with other Yelpers. The ambiance was off. I couldn't quite put my finger on why I didn't like it, but the comic of the pig eating ham on the back wall was a little off-putting. My older son commented that the place had no theme. Was it American, Contemporary, fine-dining, etc? I didn't understand the connection with the Dr. Seuss quotes. They may have a silly atmosphere, but if they don't start taking their food seriously, this place is in trouble.

Our server was awesome. He was very knowledgeable about the menu items, and even made recommendations which were spot on. If I had a restaurant, he would definitely be working for me. One of the most enthusiastic servers I've come across, and he kept our drink glasses full. We ordered some hot wings to start. They were standard. Juicy, meaty, and full of flavor. My only gripe is that I wanted them to be more spicy. The mushroom burger was huge. It was still missing an element to cut through all the grease, and heaviness. The thin cut french fries were awesome. Reminded me of McDonalds, but more fresher tasting. I'll give this place another shot to see if they can wow me with one of their dishes..

The location is kind of odd -- unless you knew that the strip mall, with its white-collar business style, housed food establishments, you might pass it up. But inside, it's awesome. They really took some time to decorate the place. It was a little.. odd getting served at the bar. Friend and I got silverware and menus, but it was probably 5-8 minutes before we got to order. Finally, one of the girls came over and apologized, saying she's new and has to wait for the other busy bartender to help out. Reminded me of other Yelpers mentioning the "shadowing" of new servers. Definitely a little strange, especially since Table 6 has been open for awhile, but I do like how they're making an effort to ensure that their servers are well-trained and informed. We got there in time for Happy Hour, and the main bartender was patient and answered our questions about food and drinks. We ended up splitting Cheese Bread for Girls, and each ordered a serving of mac-and-cheese. Beer for my friend, and the Syrah for me. Syrah tasted vinegary, definitely going on its last leg. I sipped it for awhile, thinking it'd be better when we got the food. Food came in a good amount of time, and boy was it good. A lot better than I was expected. The mac and cheese was *just* a little too runny, and could have done with some more of the crunchy bread crumbs and herbed topping, but it was really, really delicious. Same goes for the bread. I love apples + cheese + bread, but the additional fruits and cream cheese they put on it really sailed it away into hom-nom bliss. After we got our food and chowed down a bit, bartender came back to check on us. I mentioned the thing about the wine, so she sampled some from the bottle. I apologized, because I hated being a bother (and I drank half the glass already, wondering if it would change after eating the cheesy food) but she also noted it was just about to sour. So, she opened up a new bottle and gave me a very generous new pour. Another thing I would note is that there aren't any condiment caddies at the bar for patrons sitting there. It would be nice to have caddies for hot sauce, ketchup salt/pepper and extra napkins, but the bar top is pretty narrow, so that might be hard. It would be nice, though, to have those available to patrons eating at the bar. Obviously, Table 6 is still working out the kinks, but they are definitely putting a tremendous effort into training their staff and maintaining a clean establishment. I really liked my first visit, and my friend and I decided that this will be a place we will definitely be patronizing again.

LOVE this restaurant. It's one of my favorite places to eat in the Anchorage/Eagle River area. The staff is great, they're fun, attentive, and make your trip a breeze. The food is amazing. It's like a spin off of home cooked meals with a little classier feel. I can't express how much I love this restaurant, I would suggest it to all if your in the area, you will not regret it.

I have not had a single dish at Table 6 that I liked. The Greek wrap was insubstantial and did not hold together to eat it. The Orzo salad was full of mayonnaise and did not taste fresh at all. The CBLTA was overloaded with stuff, too much for the focaccia it came on, and just didn't have any flavor. And the tomato soup is WAY oversalted. I think I've given it a fair shake and it has disappointed me every time.

I have agree- this is a great addition to midtown. Most great dining in Anchorage is downtown with a few outlying hot spots. I have worked in midtown, well, pretty much my whole life, and really, there are not many great, trendy, yummy place to eat...until now! So far, all the food I have ad a Table 6 is great! I especially like the shoe string french fries! Yum-o! I have had the small blue cheese salad- quite good. Of course I ordered a side of fries. I have also had the Blackened Burger. I am not a huge burger fan, but man oh man, it is always at the top of my list when I go! My hubby and I have had dinner at Table 6 a couple times- awesome beer list, so-so wine list and full bar. I have not had any of the libations, but I am sure they are good. My favorite dinner item to date is the Chicken Verde. I don't even know how to describe the deliciousness that is this dish. It is fresh and zesty and just down right good! Only thing I ever ordered that I won't order again is the chicken causer wrap. They put rice in it, which was a bit of a buzz kill for me. So, there ya have it- my 4 favorite Table 6 dishes to date. Couple things to note- lunch and dinner menus are slightly different. Also, most of the apps don't seem to really be apps but more like sizes. Very broad based menu, something for everyone but that sometimes makes it hard when you are are craving a specific flavor profile. All in all- great place. It was even better when 1/2 of Anchorage didn't know it existed :) Dinners tend to have a wait now! Enjoy!

A great addition to the midtown dining scene. I appreciated that they had a Riesling by the glass the was both affordable and good (the Clean Slate). My girlfriend's pinot was also excellent and reasonably priced. I got the burger and my girlfriend got the chicken/bacon/brie sandwich. Both were very good. The service overall was good. It might have been a little overly anxious - but this is probably because they're new and eager to impress. The only thing about the place that we really didn't like was the weird artwork on the wall in the dining area. There are enormous eggs running around and stylized salt shakers with arms (or something similar....). It was kind of distracting and, well, not pleasant to look at. What made it even weirder is the bar section was very tastefully decorated. The bar itself is absolutely beautiful. Next time we go (which we will, soon) we'll try to situate ourselves on the bar side of things.

My fiance and I frequent this place before Aces Hockey games. Very casual atmosphere with excellent food and beverages. I've never had a bad experience with the staff; they're very friendly and can work with splitting checks, special orders, all that kind of thing. There is an extensive ever-changing beer list and I'm pretty sure they have a lot of wine there too. The burgers are more expensive than one may expect a specialty burger to be, but they're worth every penny. The future-old-lady usually gets a meatball sub that's so big and cheesy that she eats the other half after the hockey game. Only get the full-order of chicken nachos if you have eight or more people - the half order is delicious and right-sized for anything less. The CBLT is an excellent chicken sandwich and their fries are some of the best I've had in a sit-down restaurant. Just a solid place.

I met a friend here one night after work for dinner. I like the central location and the decor is really creative. They were busy but not crazy so. I would say 90% full, no wait to sit. Our waiter was in training and was being shadowed by another server. Honestly, it was a little disconcerting. She hovered so closely to him and corrected him so many times that he was flustered. He was super friendly but stumbled over the menu options. Our drinks took too long to arrive. Our meals also took a long time. The food itself tasted wonderful. After dinner, we decided to order desert and once that arrived (with the check) we were pretty much ignored. Eventually we had to hunt someone down to get a to go box. None of this was terrible though and like I said the food was good. I did get sick later that night which I don't know for sure whether it was related to the chicken pasta or just coincidental timing. I notified them the next day and this is why I will come back; they were pleasant, apologetic (even though no one else reported getting sick so probably not food poisoning) AND sent me a gift card to come back! That means a lot to me. EDIT: I wrote the above review on 10/06/11 but for some reason it didn't post it until I just logged in to edit it. I went back for lunch on 10/08/11 and I'm sorry to say the service and the food were terrible. We were seated immediatley but then promply ingnored for over 15 minutes. After seeing a different section seat people 10 minutes after us and then take their orders, I finally asked who our server was. Our plan was to split a burger, fries & salad and then head to a movie at Century. It took over 30 minutes for our food to arrive and the burger was literally bloody. Not pink on the inside, bloody. I couldn't eat more than one bite. At this point I didn't have time to wait for a corrected burger so I just paid the bill and left. I even tipped the guy. I may come back for drinks but I think I'm done going there for food.

I've visited a few times now, and I end up with the same meal at lunch - the Greek Wrap. I'm not a picky eater, but the menu is limited to burgers, salads, and wraps for the most part. However, the wrap was DELICIOUS! I could never finish the whole plate, I always ended up taking half the wrap home (and it's just as good cold). The service there is fabulous, although the first time I walked in the hostess stared at me like I just ruined her day and didn't greet or ask how many were in my party or anything. I had to prompt her to get us seated. The wait staff is extremely friendly, though and they'll tell you how backed up the kitchen is without prompting. The atmosphere has a business-casual feel to it. The lighting is low and the windows let in a lot of natural light. I'll be interested to see how it looks in the winter time.

This restaurant has really hit its stride. They have some of the best burgers and shakes in town, very good fish and chips, and a nice beer selection. It's on the short list of go-to restaurants in town for a business lunch, business cocktails, as well as brunch or lunch with the family. The food may not be adventurous, but its become consistently solid. Recent addition of new monitors makes it a good venue for watching games in the bar area. Some constructive feedback to the owner - like many places these days, noise can be a problem with all the hard surfaces, I'd like to love some of the pasta dishes, clam linguine and peanut tofu especially, but there's just too much creamy sauce in both. Cod is too often the fish of the day For these reasons and the prices, I tend to stick to the "bar food".. You have several great bartenders and servers, but a few duds, too. Prices are pushing the high end. But overall, one of our more consistently providers of good food, drink, and service in a nice environment.

In the interest of full disclosure, we know the owners Alex and Lynn. The birthing member of the species (my awesome wife) and I have eaten at their other restaurant (Haute Quarter Grill) in Eagle River for years and LOVE IT! We were excited that they were opening a place in town and had dinner there tonight. Let's start with the food. She - CBLTA (Chicken, Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato, Avocado) on homemade focaccia. They had me at bacon... And avocado. Me; southwest burger with fried jalapeños, guacamole and grilled poblano. The CBLTA was entree sized and satisfied both the palate and the appetite. The burger was outstanding. The patty was obviously hand-formed with a nice char on the outside. It was slightly more done then I prefer but I didn't specify medium rare when ordering so I consider that a gig on me. They brought their shoestring fries from Haute Quarter and my waistline hates them for that. Hot, salty and just the right combo of crisp outer and soft inner. Those fries are one of the many things we love about HQ and Table 6 is keeping the tradition strong. And then there was the peanut butter pie. If you live in Anchortown you know about Glacier Brewhouse's peanut butter pie. None compared until now! Yeah. I said it. GB no longer has the best in town. Table 6's was lighter in texture and had less chocolate (the only downside, though a slight one) but the flavors and texture were out of this world. We kept tasting hints of cookie dough, caramel, chocolate and of course peanut butter. The wifely unit thinks it rivals the Brewhouse's but since I'm writing the review I give it to Table 6. They have a full bar and a selection of brewed on tap that I could talk about for waaaaaaay to long. Overall we had delicious food and a positive experience, and we'll be back for more. The decor was warm and comfortable with fun and funky colors, art, and murals. Thanks, Alex and Lynn, for adding Table 6 to the Midtown dining scene!

Decided to try this place after reading their article in Alaska Business Monthly, and I was not disappointed. We started with the Crabby Patties, three delicious crab cakes served between home made slider buns with coleslaw in the middle. So yummy! I had the Clam Linguini. The pasta was not thick and heavy, which leads me to think it was hand made. The clams were cooked perfectly and there was not a grain of sand to be found. While the bacon in the sauce could have been rendered a little bit longer for a better crisp, the crispy bread served with the pasta was a nice touch (and you could tell it was baked that day in house). My friends had the Southwest Burger and the Chicken Pasta. The burger came on a home made bun and shoestring potato fries. There was enough food left for all of us to take home food! I would definitely go her again and HIGHLY recommend this place. You can tell that they care about the food they serve you.

First time here - I'd heard a lot about it. Solo lunch today. Prompt seating (late lunch - 1:10 or so). Drink order taken quickly - a little bit slow on delivery, but no big deal. Ordered Asian Chicken Salad - figured it take a few minutes so I pull out my Android for some game time - WHAM! Food on table! Nice! If I had any complaint, it was I had a glass of Chardonnay (I assumed if I ask for a "glass of Chardonnay", I'll get the house Chardonnay. What I got was their top shelf - $3 bucks more than house - oh well, not a big deal. I will be back.

Got there and it looked pretty nice. Sat down and saw our neighboring table ordered two nachos. It was huge. We told the server it was our first time here. All he did was welcome us. No introductions of any foods he would recommend. Didn't tell us anything. So we decided on getting a plate of nachos, chicken wings, and quesdillas. The nacho plate was huge. We got the cajun nachos. The server said it was a little spicy. I didnt taste any spice. The toppings weren;t enough for the amount of nachos we had. The wings were nothing fantastic. Kind of has a kick to it. Our other friend joined us and it took her awhile before the server even noticed. The quesedilla was really good. The three of us that were eating barely finished the nachos. It was just too painful to finish. My jaw was so sore. It took us a while for us to get our check. After we got our food, the server just didnt' come around that much anymore. He short changed my friend $20.00. Overall, the menu wasn't that spectacular. Nothing stood out. A little overpriced. The burgers did look good though. This is a place I would come maybe once a year. The only reason for 3 stars is the quesedilla was really good. Otherwise it would score 2 stars.

Good food and atmosphere. Not sure if they are trying to be a sports bar, but all the TVs had sports on. I just don't know if there are enough TVs to get a good view from all of the tables. As a vegetarian visiting anchorage, we have had a hard time going out with my family. Most places have little to no vegetarian options, especially when it comes to burgers. Table 6 has a "homemade" black bean burger which was pretty good. Fries are super thin, but crispy and tasty. BBQ sauce was a little more peppery than I like, but not overpowering. Try the onion rings, which are more like onion straws or haystack onions. Service was good and food came out fast even restaurant was surprisingly busy on a Tuesday night.

Hmmmm....anyone wondering why they scored poorly in the Restaurant Inspection Scores of 2015?? And by poorly I mean lower than the majority of joints in Anchorage...seemed like most restaurants scored in the 90's & the few remaining in the 80's - including T6, were the the lowest scores. T6's score is en par with the joint serving up questionable food known as Asian Gardens, the "better have a toilet nearby" Village Inn & one (that's right just one - all others scored well into the 90's) Subway. Should I be worried that Taco Bell scored much higher than T6....hmmmmmmm....... scribd.com/doc/275338909…

The "A-OK" Yelp 3-star seems pretty appropriate for this joint. I can't really figure out what they're trying to be. There is a full bar, a good amount of TVs with sports on them, fancy wall dividers that are actually hung from the ceiling and don't touch the ground, 80s music, an Elvis poster in the restroom, and a rocket-ship cheeseburger painted on the wall next to a Dr. Seuss quote. I'm intrigued... The menu is rather extensive with the standard bar-fare options such as wings, nachos, chips, salsa and guac (made in-house) along with some interesting sandwich creations, entrees, and salads. I went with the special, Korean BBQ prawns in red curry sauce with rice. My dining partner got the CBLT and sweet potato fries. The major issue I had, which I observed some other tables around us also having, was that our food took a long time to come out. From order placement to reception I would estimate we waited 30 minutes, possibly longer. Fortunately, we had chips and salsa to keep us occupied for part of that time, but the wait definitely reached that awkward stage where you kind of start looking around and staring at the kitchen entrance. The food, once we got it, was really good. But it was also the source of my second issue: portion size. The special was much less than I expected, and the sandwich we got was also on the small side. But, as I said, really tasty. The hostess, our server, and who I presume was the manager, were all extremely friendly and quick to take care of us. I give a strong 3 star review with the intention of trying this place again. I feel there is a lot of potential here, with the large menu, extensive alcohol selection, and happy hour specials, for this to become a regular stop for me. It just seems that they're still figuring things out.

Waited over 15 min before a guy timidly approached our table after walking by my husband and I numerous times. We were seated in HIS assigned dining area! I requested a move to another table that was manned by a professional server. We should have left, but I can't judge the entire establishment on one questionable individual whose motives might have been associated with a screwed up impression of some peoples of the community . The food and drinks ended up pretty good. I took them down 4 stars anyway because our dinner experience was soured by the initial poor service.

I received great customer service here today. They accidentally gave my food away to another table so I waited a good 25-30 mins for my sandwich. Being a part time server myself, I didn't want to complain. The server ended up comping my sandwich without me even saying anything. I really appreciated that gesture. This is an awesome place to grab lunch. They have a variety of soups, salads, burgers and sandwiches. They even have pasta! The food is pretty delicious and very affordable. I love their thin fries, and they're super crispy. Looks like they have a full bar as well! Great place to spot for some drinks and appetizers while catching a game :)

I visit Anchorage a couple of times a year and was taken to Table6 by a co-worker. I've been back twice since that time, so I'd say I like the food and the beer selection. I especially like the choices from Midnight Sun Brewery, but they did not have Monk's Mistress on tap the last time I went. Too bad - a very good beer. I've not had any small plates, but I especially enjoyed their salmon the last time I went with friends. I agree with a recent post and I am a bit confused as to the theme. Overall, however, a good place to go in mid-town and nice crowd of folks.
