Threw all the food away. Easily the worst Chinese ever. 45 minutes for delivery. When I called after waiting about 35 minutes and told them my name and asked if it was coming I got the answer, " yeah it's coming." After a long pause like I was stupid for asking where my food was. Really it's all around horrible

This place was perfect for a late night craving for chinese. Reasonable delivery time with food that's above average. The portion sizes were perfect and good for the price. China Garden doesn't get enough credit for having decent food at a late hour.

Horrible! The breaded almond chicken was just chicken pattys with sauce on it. I will never order from there again, which is too bad because staff was very nice.

My boyfriend and I flew into Anchorage really late that nothing was really open so we decided to check out China Garden (it was advertised in the binder of restaurants near by at our hotel). Having read reviews I was a bit weary, but my boyfriend insisted. Anyway, went around 1 or so where there was absolutely no customers there. We were quickly sat and given menus, but waited a long time to order for being the only customers. Ordered the ragoons, spicy shrimp with garlic sauce, and shrimp with lobster sauce. The food came out fast (and hot).... pretty much all at once. Ragoon were meh. Spicy shrimp with garlic sauce was ok, I ate all the shrimp and left most veggies because they were still hard.. the sauce was spicy, but had really no taste of garlic.. after eating it kind of made me feel like I ate cheap food. My boyfriend who eats mostly all of his food didn't really like his shrimp with lobster sauce. We both left our plates more than half eaten and again, waited a while for the server to come back. Not worth the $40..... or any money at all.

Okay, so I feel compelled to defend this place. I've been ordering from them for a couple of years now (wow, I can't believe it's been that long...) and I actually have to say...their stuff isn't as bad as the past couple of reviews have claimed. First of all, it's one of the only place this side of Anchorage that stays open past the Midnight hour. On top of that, they deliver. What's more important, is that even though the food is prepared by Koreans, the cuisine is actually quite good. Most of their dishes are a little on the sweet side, especially their Sesame Chicken, and Mongolian Chicken. So, if you don't like your Chinese to have a sweet finish to it, I recommend leaving this place alone. However, it is by no means supposed to be the best Chinese food around, nor does it claim to be. But it does serve a purpose, and that is to deliver you better than average Chinese food, on a timely manner, at all hours of the night. If you find yourself with a Chinese-food craving, that just can't wait until lunch time the next day, then may I recommend giving this place a shot? Who knows, maybe you might find yourself with a new favorite dish that you swear by, you'll never know until you try... -L

I'd give it less than one star, but yelp doesn't allow it. And sorry, but the guy that gave it the highest stars gave Sea Galley 3 stars. What a joke. This place is horrible. I ordered- waited an hour and half and finally cancelled my order. Drove by the place a week later and was pretty glad I didn't eat anything that came from there.

Not even worth 1 star. Again, I am a user of the muni restaurant reviews website. 1 look at their past reviews, you would NOT eat here. Prior to me being a muni stalker, a couple friends and I had an all nighter and showed up to this restaurant at about 2am. I was afraid to eat there, so I drank my soda while the two chow'd. ICK.

You think to yourself, self...SCORE! All night Chinese Food Delivery! Whooo Hooo! To be honest...Call Ski and Benny's instead. I have had friends actually drive the food back to the location and dump it on the floor. Just a warning...

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
