The hot dogs, bacon deluxe chesseburgers, and sweet potato tots really hit the spot after a long day on the road back from Homer. Quick and friendly service. Big screen TV. Pool and darts and a juke box! Not bad for a random spot on the Turnagain arm Hwy. 1.

All the meat comes from the local "Indian Valley Meats" up the road and is tasty as all get out. (Also, what else are you gonna do in the area on the way to Girdwood? Not a McDonalds in sight...) $4 for a dog. The real deal is the reindeer dog, served in the afternoons.

As far as bars go, with low expectations of bar food, this place gets 5 stars. Located in Indian the bar sits right off the highway. The interior is dimly lit with the walls and ceiling covered in personalized dollar bills. The beers range from microbrews to shwag, along with a full bar. There is a small menu filled with burgers, brats, pretzels, and even a corn dog. I got the buffalo brat with fries for $6.50 and my friend got a corn dog for $2.50. Cheap eats! And for the record the food was good. The bartender is the owner, is personable and friendly, and hosts bands when he can. There is an outdoor patio for dancing under the midnight sun during the summer.

The food was good. I stopped in with my three year old on my way to Costco for a late lunch. We had the cheeseburger and cheesy pretzel. The food was delicious and fairy fast.

Only been there once but the burgers, fries, and onion rings were pretty tasty and for a good price. The menu says their dogs and meats come from Indian valley which is a processing place just up the road. When I got a caribou last year I took some of the meat to them and they made delicious dogs/brats out of my meat - so if you're looking for a good caribou dog I'm sure it's the same here. They also had some decent beers on tap and good bloody mary's.

Stopped for late lunch. Sadly the only ones there, as the food was very good. I had reindeer dog and he had buffalo bratwurst. Nice lady running the place. Prices were good too.

This a great dive. Highly recommend it for a quick stop for a beer and burger. A fun whole in the wall place. Should be on Diners, Driveins and Dives

This was a nice little bar along the side of the road in Indian. Both times we stopped by (different days), there was a band playing. One night was reggae, and another night was a 70's rock cover band. I think it was a $5 cover to get in when the band was there, and the draft beers were like $3. For being in the middle of nowhere, it was a pretty good time. The decor is composed of people writing/drawing on one dollar bills and pinning them to the walls and ceiling. It seemed really cool and unique when we were first there, but then after seeing at several more bars in Alaska, it was much less exciting. So, if you are passing by or camping near there, it's the best place to go for a drink and some music.
