When staying in Sundance you will find that there are few places to eat and even fewer good places to eat. If you take the short drive to the Buffalo Jump you will not be disappointed. Great food, a nice western atmosphere, and friendly and attentive staff. I was very pleased with my experience, I had the Ruby Red Rib Eye, Pepper Jack Mac and Cheese, and a side of fried shrimp and it was amazing! I couldn't eat it all even though I wanted to. I will definitely come back next time I am in town.

We heard about this place from the rv place where we were staying in Sundance. Both my husband and son ordered the buffalo burgers. Good sized burgers. I ordered the buffalo tenderloin which the waitress said had only been on the menu for a couple of weeks. It was cooked just right. The service and food were good but I am only giving this place 4 stars due to the fact that the prices were a little high for the small town location.

My father and I took my mother out for her birthday here. Outside it is a little confusing with the bar right next to it. We were seated quickly and served quickly! We were out if there in an hour! I've never tasted a better salad any where else. And their Angus sirloin was amazing. They topped off the steak with a 'steak butter', turned out awesome. You get a little bread stick on the side that complimented the steak. The only issue my father and I had with that was that it was to small! ;) I ordered a Cole SLA, after eating the rest of the meal this sadly fell flat. It wasn't fair comparing it to the rest of the meal since everything was amazing. I would love to come here again!

The BEST steaks in the area topped with a butter that is blended wit herbs and seasonings. Their new beef brisket is tender and moist too.

While attending the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in 2010 (the 70th anniversary), our group stayed at The Mill at Sand Creek which is located just down the road from Buffalo Jump. As is the norm for this area during Sturgis, there were motorcycles parked out front and what appeared to be a bar attached to the location. Part of the bar was outdoors and the bartenders were in a water filled pool wearing bikinis. The Resturant, actually seems like an after thought in this setting. The buffalo jump soon became our regular dinner spot, especially since it was stumbling distance to our place. The food was excellent, my best meals while in the black hills were at the Buffalo Jump. The service was exceptional and we plan to make it a tradition during any other trips back to the area,

We were told about this place by the front deck of our hotel. It surpassed all our requirements. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but the interior is an old west bar with a good restaurant seating area. We ordered the Buffalo Rib-eye steaks and were very happy with the result. They were tender, fixed exactly to order - medium, and were very tasty. With Buffalo meat you sometimes worry about dry meat, but these were juicy and great. The side salad was well done as were the potatoes. All in all I can't say enough good things about this place. If I ever get back to this area again I will make a special trip back to the Buffalo Jump Saloon.

I am finally getting around to writing a review for this place. We found it by accident. We were riding back to Sturgis after riding out to Devil's Tower during Bike Week. As is our preference, we stay off the interstates and found ourselves in the little town of Beulah, WY. If we had blinked, we would have missed it. We saw a bar with a couple of Harleys in front so we decided to stop for a beer and a burger. Well, the service really sucked and they were out of everything so we got up and left after waiting 15 minutes for our beers to arrive. However, this is not the review I write about. As we left the bar reaching for a map to see where we would ride next, we saw to our left a sigh for the Buffalo Jump Steakhouse. Well, after a nanosecond thinking a steak would be good, we headed in. What a fortuitous find. My riding buddies ordered the buffalo prime and I ordered a buffalo rib-eye. All three of us commented after the meal that the steaks were the best we have ever had - EVER. They were impeccably aged and cooked perfectly to order and the seasoning absolutely accented the cuts without overpowering the amazing good flavor of the buffalo. We zeroed in on the buffalo but there were plenty of other selections on the menu. We drank domestic beers with our meal but the bar looked well stocked and the wine list was diverse. The wait staff was very pleasant and accommodating. We plan on making the Buffalo Jump a new annual tradition during Sturgis Bike Week.
