My husband grew up in Weirton and his parents still live in Marland Heights. On a recent trip home, we were looking for a place to grab a beer. A friend and Weirton native recommended we check out Basils. We arrived on a Friday afternoon around 2 pm. My husband and I seated ourselves at the bar. To his surprise and delight, our bartender was someone he knew. Megan was extremely helpful and friendly. I was able to sample a few beers before deciding on my first pint. Basils has a great selection of craft beers...especially given that Weirton is a small town. The options during our visit were good and they were mostly beers I'd never had. Hooray for untappd check-ins! I had already eaten lunch but we decided to order some wings. Basils definitely had some unique sauce options ie...mango habanero, caramel, peanut butter hot. We settled on peanut butter hot for our order. It is worth a try.

Great food and the owners are great! Haven't had a meal yet that I haven't loved! My favorites are the wrap, the flat bread pizzas and the pierogies tossed in the wing sauces!

This place is simply amazing. The peanut butter hot wings and stuffed jalapeño burger is out of this world. We are going back today to try more wings and their hotdogs.

Very Very good food. Burgers are handmade, not frozen like some bars. Fresh cut fries and homemade chips. Lots of TV's and it is smoke free. A nice open floor plan and you can play the jukebox from your phone via touchtunes. A very welcome change to go somewhere that they care about the food. Also the craft beers change all the time. Really good wings also. Will be a great place to watch games. Super excited about something fresh, new and clean in the valley.

Really good thick juicy burger with hand cut fries. My wife had the 1st base pasta plate with a favorable sauce. The roll was really good. Crispy on the outside n chewy on the inside. Meatballs are homemade along with the burger n nicely seasoned. The decor is local sports with plenty of tv's to watch a game while dining. Ample parking and reasonably priced. Friendly wait staff n very clean.

Tried this place again...no , never again...rude waitress, so busy talking to friends, I never got a chance for another beer...staff walking from kitchen looking like he just worked on his car, then talking really loud to friends about hunting an shooting animals. Geez! I'm trying to eat here...who goes here to get high ratings?? Wow this was a mistake..doesn't matter how good food is, if you can't eat it now

Close. Nice and reasonable. Good selection of beers. I had the wrap, coleslaw and fries. Wrap good...fries and slaw a little peppery. Would give it a 4 but the open and closing of the door was quite drafty!

I went here for lunch, and had their Basil Burger. It was good and tasty, but it was almost too big, and a little difficult to eat. If it were a bit smaller and more manageable, I would have actually enjoyed it more. Go figure. I guess I need a bigger mouth. But it was still good, and the fries and chips were both good as well. The service was great, the waitress was super-friendly, and the decor was nice. Much nicer looking on the inside than on the outside! Very clean and family-friendly. They do have multiple televisions on the walls, but some of the screens are really small. Overall, a welcome addition to the Weirton restaurant scene.

Not only some of the best wings and burgers in the area, Basil's now has over 50 different craft beers to choose from and 17 draft beers!! Stop in and check out the draft selection!! From IPA's to Porters!! Basil's has an amazing selection.....Great atmosphere to enjoy the game, gather with friends and grab some wings and refreshing beer!

This is a 2.5, but I rounded up. I arrived on a Saturday around 5 p.m. and the place was fairly slow, so we grabbed a few seats at the bar. Impressive draft and craft bottle list. I grew up in Weirton and a relaxing, quality bar great for catching up with friends has been a challenging find. With plenty of TV's, great food and friendly bartenders this place definitely works. My big complaint is the place filled up around 6 p.m. and two bartenders were responsible for a full bar of about 15-20 people *and* a dining room of about 10 tables. At one point the bartender embarrassingly recruited a friend of hers to wash glasses. I don't know if someone didn't show up for work but the place was chaotic. She forgot my beer and didn't offer to give me a drink on the house when it dawned on her 20 min. later that I was beer-less and irritated. This place has a lot going for it -- homemade food, newly remodeled space, craft beer -- but maybe they need to work out the growing pains with staffing.

My friends and I were excited to see craft beer being offered in the Ohio Valley without making the trip to Mad Mex or further. Not so excited to see an employee clipping his fingernails INCHES from the open containers of wing sauce. The cook didn't seem to mind. We did. So we'll continue to make the drive to Robinson for our craft beer fix.
