The Fifth Floor Menu

First time to Clarksburg, WV and wasn't expecting such a cool restaurant. This is a somewhat hidden location, it's like finding a secret room in Hogwarts. You enter from a side street and walk through a hall that is alongside a gift shop and then take an elevator to - get this - The Fifth Floor. Uniquely decorated with exposed brick walls, shabby sheik decor, and a full bar, the Fifth Floor is an unexpected treat in a one horse town. I was there for lunch and had the special, Baja fish wrap, served with a side of potato chips. That's what I like about this place- while it's unique it's not impressed with itself, hence the side of greasy potato chips. I'm sure this is a happy hour favorite amongst the young professionals, and likely blue collar workers too.

My husband and I just ate here for the firs time. I have been searching high and low for a place outside of morgantown that makes a good martini- and I was NOT disappointed! I had the cotton candy martini. It didn't much taste like cotton candy but it did taste delicious! I also had the June bug martini and it was yummo! Almost like a piña colada but in the best way because normally I don't like that sort of thing! He had the Fifth Floor Slammer and he enjoyed it. I had the turkey bacon wrap with DELICIOUS pita chips! I will be returning! As a warning though- there can be a loud atmosphere (it is a bar after all) and the lighting is very very dim. I wouldn't recommend anyone with bad eye sight going for a meal. But if you can handle those two little minor details, it's worth it! :)

This is a beautiful restaurant, the food is ok. I had the ratatouille Penni, it was good but the bread was burnt... I've only been there once, so I'm not sure if that was the norm.

The signature soup is fantastic. Such a good place in the middle of Clarksburg. Great atmosphere. Service is a little slow, but the food is worth the wait.

Great people, great view, and the most complete bar that I've seen in the county! I'm gonna try their signature soup and a salad for lunch tomorrow and let you know how the food is.

Great bar with a great view. My significant otter and I had drinks here after reading about the Fifth Floor in WV's 101 Unique Places to Dine. This place is unique and has a stellar martini and scotch menu. The otter and I sampled a few yummy martinis. Would like to return and try their food. We did return and sampled their signature soup (very hot!) and chicken wing dip. Excellent food!

If you are visiting the area, stop by here...especially if you looking for some interesting cocktails or martinis. If you live here, go to this place...please keep it in business. Where are all of the reviews for this place?...pretty unique place for Clarksburg, I think. What an extensive drink menu...I mean really really wide selection of martini's, cocktails, wines, scotches, etc. And a great view being on the top floor of a building (ok you are not in Chicago looking out from the bar in Sear's Tower, or at Hotel W looking over the White House) . The bartender was quick to wait on us, despite a good size crowd....we sat at the bar, the one at the other side nearer the window (seats a little low, but she warned us of that). So many choices and hard to decide...went with "Almost Heaven," why not, don't see that one often on the menu....amaretto (my fav), chambord, pineapple, and cranberry....could be a little too sweet for some, but it was very smooth with no aftertaste. The rest in my party got a Long Island (good) and some sort of Pepper Martini (too hot/spicy for me)...if that is your thing. Nice that you can also play Powerball there too. Already had dinner right before, so didn't sample any food on the menu. Variety of ages there, not all just 25 and under. At least two large parties there, including an bachelorette party that kept the bartenders and servers busy making alot of drinks. We got to watch as they made them from our spot at the bar. One drawback...only seemed to be one unisex bathroom...need a few more for the size. I had a fairly long wait for it, but at least there were comfy couches there to sit while waiting. Highly recommend this place.

Come see Brett and have him fix you a Fifth Floor Margarita! We stopped by on a business trip, took the elevator up, and were treated to a gorgeous view of old town Clarksburg. Listening to Led Zepplin, drinking assorted wonderful cocktails.. Life gets no better.
