Went for the Never ending pasta bowl, first time back to Olive Garden in almost a year. For $.9.95 cant beat that; salad included. Had a nice glass of Chianti with it and for desert 2 of those mini $2.50 cups, the tiramisu was great. I had Nick L (there is 2 Nicks!) as my server and he handled everything quick and efficiently.

Great food at a Great Price !! I used to be a big fan of " Olive Garden" but not so much anymore...but Noelle (my lovely daughter) loves it..so we go!!! I love their Salad with the Italian dressing (house blend) with black olives and peppers...and they add the grated cheese freshly grated to your cheese happiness level!!!! Also they give you about 5 garlic bread sticks and you can get more!!! They used to come around with a basket and serve the refills but not any longer ( I like the basket days..bring them back)) I always order the Alfredo Sauce on the side to dip our bread sticks into..It makes the meal and I could eat just the bread and salad alone and be very full and be very happy!!! I love their Iced Tea (unsweetened with lemon and lime) and Noelle gets the Raspberry Lemonade Now she has her usual...Chicken Alfredo and I usually try something new each time and this time I went with the New Lasagna Primavera with Veggie filling ...it gave me heartburn but that was my own fault..I know that tomato based sauces do that too me but I wanted to try it..next time...Alfredo sauce...It also had some chunks of Chicken on top and really cheese with my level of extra cheese happiness freshly grated !!! I am giving them a five.!!! The food was good, I am just not a big Olive Garden fan...the decorations are lovely. They greeted and seated us immediately and for a Saturday afternoon, it wasn't that bad..and our waitress was very friendly and fast!!! I would recommend this chain restaurant...my only complaint is that its like a semi-fast food ((( cookie cutter format))) but most chain locations are that way!!!!

Smelled really bad in the entry doors, hostess seem disturbed and not happy. Meatballs had to be frozen and spaghetti over cooked. The waitress was very pleasant. Would not recommend.

I have been at the particular Olive Garden many many times and it is always a good experience. The staff is always helpful and prompt. The food is great and it is reasonably priced.

I've been to Olive Garden before and let me tell you this was my best experience by far. The waitress and staff was extremely nice and on top of everything. The food actually tasted better than some other olive gardens I had been to. Totally hit the spot!

Visited 1/3/14 at 7 pm. It's Olive Garden: palatable Americanized "Italian" and fine dining for rednecks. We don't typically eat here, but we received a gift card for Christmas. Another reviewer mentioned first impressions and how important they are. While our food was fine and server very friendly, the hostess who seated us had a bad attitude. If not for the free meal, we probably would have excused ourselves right then.

It's Olive Garden, ok? Like every other Olive Garden across the US, it has decent food, comfortable seats, and a friendly atmosphere. Waiters can be great or awful (I've had some really nice ones here)

Ridiculous wait. Apparently this is the place in South Charleston but I'm not waiting 2 hours for "Mc-Italian"

My wife and I are fans of Olive Garden, but can't stand the crowds. We were passing through Charleston and thought about getting lunch at OG as the crowds are a lot less midday. We got right in, got great booth. Our waiter, Chris was very attentive and helpful, right up to the point where he spilled my iced tea in my lap. My wife and I, and many of the surrounding patrons, were hysterical with laughter. Chris seemed to be a really nice kid, he was absolutely moritified and I guess thought we were going to pitch a fit. When he realized that we were not, he stopped at nothing to try to make up for it. We ended up taking my picture with him as his "punishment" for the tea. The food ended up as usual, delicious and plentiful. We would go back in a minute, if for nothing else another try at torturing Chris with another picture. :)

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
