Wait time was minimal and staff very friendly. The warm rolls that are served are so good. The food hit the spot; the noise level is loud and there was some kind of performance during our dinner that I could've lived without. The drinks we ordered were very good and I would go back.

The steaks were done medium-rare just right... the rest of the food was ok... nothing special but not bad at all. This place is NOISY. I would give it a 3 3/4 out of 5 stars if I could.

Spare me the headache from the noise. Food is just average, it's a chain.

You think the Cheesecake Factory brown color bread is good? Well, then you haven't tried the bread from Texas Roadhouse. It comes steaming hot to your table and they are not skimpy with refilling your basket. My server even gave us a bag of the bread to take home. I got the half ribeye and half rack of ribs. The ribeye was good for a less then $20 plate but the ribs were pretty awful. Ribs were overcooked and dry and dipping it in bbq sauce couldn't help it taste any better. As for the ambiance/decor/aura of the place...honestly I was kind of appalled. Peanut shells all over the ground does not seem sanitary to me. Servers randomly bursted into a song and linedance in the middle of the aisle. I guess if you have the kind of kids that scream and throw tantrums in public its good to bring them because its already pretty noisy.

We had gone here several times on Saturday and found wait was almost 1 hour to be seated. I think they were a little slow with State Fair and festivals going on only had to wait 20 min. Server was friendly and timing was perfect. Salads where fresh only problem was ordered blue cheese on side and found it warm and had small piece of wrapper with 1. Steaks were done perfect and very tasty had them smothered(recommend). Had baked potatoes stuffed(not recommended) it didn't have much sour cream, butter or bacon in it should ask for extra on side. Green beans were good.

Service was like no other, my husband and I felt like royalty, the waitress acted like we were her only table, sweet as pie, prompt, friendly, helpful. The food was amazingly good, the complimentary bread was so darn fresh and warm that we could not get enough of it, the ribs where fall of the bone delicious, the manager walked over and talked to us. It was a very pleasant experience, will be going back before I head back to California.

Roadhouse never disappoints..from their amazing fresh baked bread rolls with awesome cinnamon butter spread to their great customer service. Been here plenty of times in California and this one in Wisconsin feels like I'm back home. I ordered a chicken sandwich because I wanted to try something other than their famous steaks or fall of the bone ribs. It was ok...a little over done, but then again, a steakhouse is not the place to get a chicken sandwich.

Good food, excellent service. I walked in and said I needed to be out in less than 1 hour to catch a movie. Everyone communicated that face and my wife and I had a great Date Night.

As far as chain restaurants go, I'd have to say this one tops most. The food is good, I got a 6oz filet (typically I would never order steak at a chain but I was really craving one) and I have to say, it exceeded my expectations for a chain place. The house salad was ice cold and very fresh, mashed potatos were delicious and REAL. Everyone working there was very friendly and attentive.

I have to let you know the food has not been consistently good over the years. The ribs are often over-charred to the point I would call burnt. This is the perfect example of a chain that lays on the hospitality at the opening and can't keep the same level of quality cooking and service going.

I'm no fan of chain restaurants, as you can tell, but I, along with my wife, had decided to come here for dinner maybe once of twice from memory. Any who, I remember the wait time was one of the issues, starting off in the waiting room, next to a bunch of other families waiting to be seated. Fast forward, we take our seats, and order our meals, I have the steak with the sides, a order of snakebites. I do remember saying how I can have a better seasoned steak at my place, and noticed one of the families that came in with us originally walked out after about 20 minutes of being seated, which was pretty awkward. I kind of knew what I was getting myself into but I guess I jumped into this place hesitantly. I'll give it two stars for the bucket of peanuts, the friendly staff, and the drinks. The food, meh, i'd go elsewhere.

My family and I love to celebrate our special occasions in this location. Thank God they take reservations now though, because the wait can be over 1hr pretty much any day of the week. I love their deep fried onions and their ribeye steaks!! Yummmmm!!! The staff is very welcoming as well!! That's is why we keep coming back!!

We've eaten here a few times, usually after going to the movies at Marcus Majestic Cinema on Springdale Road (Waukesha). We've found this place reliable for providing consistently OK barbeque style meals, albeit, not nearly as good as Famous Dave's. Last night, one of us had the combination chicken/ribs. This dinner is a half rotisserie chicken, finished with BBQ sauce, and about five (spare) ribs. The chicken was pretty good. The ribs were a bit dry and over cooked. Of the two sides that were picked, the Caesar salad was pretty good as was the sweet potato. The other dinner was grilled chicken (breasts): Two undersized half breasts that were over cooked and dry. Baked potato side was OK. Applesauce was the other side requested and was OK. One plain scotch and soda cocktail was good with a liberal pour. Our server was friendly, obliging and checked on us several times. The shift manager also came by to see if we were OK, too. For us, the food is overall two star. The convenience, service and bar beverages brings our overall rating to a three.

Pretty decent rib eye. Good looking servers. I wasn't incredibly impressed, but wouldn't hesitate going back. I won't be jumping up and down for it, though.

As you walk into Texas Roadhouse, you are greeted with a display that showcases their meat specialty - steaks. A hint that this is not the sort of establishment for vegetarians. One thing I noticed about the meat was the apparent lack of marbling. Although a nice color, indicating freshness, such lean cuts can only go so far in producing a superior steak experience so I decided to "steer" clear of these on this particular night. As a characteristic of many chains, servers here are very strong on the upsell. They even bring you a free sample of their ribs, not noticing that we already put in two orders. The ribs are literally fall off the bone tender and made from scratch sides make them more pleasant than you would anticipate. I was amazed at how they were able to get their chili to taste exactly like Hormel - of course, a better quality version. The fresh bread that they give you as you are seated is as good as fresh bread gets. However, the ambiance of the place may not be for everyone. All the employees wear t-shirts that have on the back "I love my job" which can get a bit visually annoying since it really was meant to read "I love having a job". They also scream at the top of their lungs in harpy fashion to announce a birthday, anniversary, etc and then start dancing. It is like being in an Americanized version of a Bollywood movie - people break out in song and dance at the most inopportune moments. Apparently a lot of people come here to celebrate their birthday. . . A LOT.

It's a fun kind of place as chains go. I've never eaten a steak here, as I typically don't eat a steak much of anywhere. Just one of those things, I guess. It's meat. I can grill. I don't need to overpay to have someone do it for me. And, even though I avoid chain restaurants like a plague, this one stands out for the right reasons. Regardless, I like coming here. I tend towards the chicken and ribs combo. The portion size is decent, and, in a handful of visits, I've never had cause to complain. The food has been hot, it's tasted good, and it's been correct. Drinks are typical with the level of quality and size of ChiliAppleFriday's, and, either I've been really lucky with my timing and the bartender understands that when I order a giant margarita, it's because I want more tequila, or they just make them a bit strong. I almost feel like I should tip them seperately. Pretty happy with that, of course. And then, how can you come here and not love the rolls with the cinnamon butter. They're right up there with the cheddar biscuits at Red Lobster. And peanuts. I don't seek out peanuts. But, like popcorn, if you put it in front of me, I'll eat them. And then throw the shells on the ground. Best business decision ever. If you know people are going to drop them anyway, just tell them to from the start. Go here. It's proximity to the movie theater is a big plus, too.

My brother-in-law insists this is the best place for ribs so we went their for his b-day and ate the ribs with double the fries. It was good. Best ribs around, I'm not sure. The service was friendly, but a bit slow. I think they were under staffed. The bucket of shuck your own peanuts were tasty. ;-)

More than likely if you come at dinnertime you will have to wait a bit....but have no fear they have peanuts by the barrel in the lobby to take the edge off your hunger. We had a large party and they accommodated well because they have extra large booths. The noise level is LOUD, it feels like I'm at a hoedown in a barn. They start you off at the table with their buckets of peanuts and hot rolls with their signature cinnamon butter. I ordered my what I always do, BBQ chicken. It's tender and juicy and smothered in their BBQ sauce. It comes with two sides. I usually always go with the side salad and a sweet potato. This time I switch it up and ordered green beans in place of the potato. HA, wrong choice! Their green beans have BACON in them and I HATE bacon (I was a vegetarian for sometime)! They were large grisly bits of bacon. Plus the bacon flavor was very off putting and the flavor had cooked right into the green beans. It was not salvageable to be picked around. Who would have thought green beans would be a MEATY choice?! It's a good choice for a Birthday celebration...they come over to your table and make quite the sing-songy-scene!

One of the worst steaks I have had in a long time. I ordered the ribeye, which I do know is one of the fattiest steaks, but this one had more fat than meat. Not sure if I will ever order that steak again let alone return to the restaurant. One other issue, how could you possibly not have enough sweet potatoes to serve your customers? The waitress told us they had a backlog of sweet potatoes, which seemed odd. My father-in-law managed to eat all of his steak and my wife's steak got cold before the potatoe was served. Not impressed at all with this visit.

Service was amazing as usual. I had the catfish, loaded baked potato, house salad(reallllly yummy) with their homemade ranch dressing...I was in heaven. My friend had the 8oz sirloin medium well & shrimp. I can say her steak was full of flavor & tender. Sorry I can't comment on the shrimp because I have a shellfish allergy. However she states they were also yummy. Our drinks were not skimpy either, I had a buzz lol... I love Texas Roadhouse...peanut shelled floor & all!

There's not 5 stars simply because it's a franchise, but wow what great stuff! Their steaks are a great value. The loaded baked potato is perfect, and the cinnamon butter is like tan buttery crack. Do it.

I probably wouldn't choose Texas Roadhouse on my own, but my family likes going there. And you know what, it ain't too bad. This place is country, but I like that. By country I mean they play country music, you eat peanuts and throw the shells on the ground, and you just may be sitting below an animal mounted on the wall. But their food is good, especially the steak, ribs, and chicken. Seriously, their ribs fall off the bone. The butter they serve with their bread is delish and you've got to try their loaded sweet potato (loaded with marshmellows and caramel). Yum. Okay, so it's not exactly healthy, but it's good. Service is good and fairly fast here, although you might wait a while for a table on weekend nights. And if it's your birthday you sit on a saddle, people shout "Yee haw!" and you get ice cream. It's a good place for families. So when someone suggests going here just embrace it and you'll love it. 3.5 stars, rounded up.
