Went here recently on a Saturday night & to my surprise, it wasn't busy at all. Maybe people are realizing it's no good? The food was average but service was horrendous. Waitress forgot about our table after initially giving us our check. Waited about 15-20 minutes. I had to tell one of the hostesses to find our server so we could actually pay & leave. I won't be back. & quick tip to the owners, clean up your sidewalk. Right in a handicap parking space, there are chunks of the sidewalk missing which is just a disaster waiting to happen. I'll post a picture of it after posting this review. Step it up, Chancery....step it up!

The original menu is back ! We will be back 2 -3 times a month like before. This was where my wife and I had our first date here over 26 years ago ! 26 anniversary dinners and 6 kids later , it is all your fault ! : ) staff and food quality has been great .

I personally love the Chancery in Waukesha. In my opinion they have a great menu with just enough choices, decent prices & a decent portions. Great dessert menu too! We've always had fast service. There was one about five minutes from our house growing up & was really happy to see one in Waukesha.

I've gone to the Chancery a few times in the last several years and I've always really enjoyed my food. The menu is smaller now than it was previously, but I prefer that. Do fewer things but do them well. And that they do. The decor is okay. I'd like it to be a bit more open. The service is friendly. When I last visited, there was a lot of new staff and it showed. They were trying hard, though, and that's what counts.

Stopped in a little later on Friday. Around 9. Ordered the fish fry. The fish tasted old and dry and fishy. Do not go here for fish. Service was good. Food was not up to par and not done with pride.

Cozy bar with a huge brass chandelier, stained glass and lots of brick. Great craft beer selection and friendly bartender. Loved the Cheesehead Dream burger, super yummy! We shared the bread pudding for dessert, seriously get this if you have any room left!

Nothing too special. Limited menu and not a very popular lunch spot. However the food was good but not really worth the money. I wish the atmosphere was more fun.

Stopped in for a quick drink and appetizer before seeing a movie. Sat at the bar for 15 minutes, didn't even get acknowledged by either of the 2 bartenders. We walked out without any service. Will not be going back!

Their food is delicious, filling, and very reasonably priced. The deals on pasta's durign the week can not be beat. If you are looking to save money and eat good, this is the place.

I was surprisingly impressive with the new menu. Much smaller offering but the meal I had was the best I've ever had there. Try the Reuben- red cabbage and horseradish cream makes this sandwich out of this work!

Completely disappointed at the amount of food in our carry-out bag for what it cost. There would have been twice the amount of food in the past. A wrap with no side? A tiny cup of beer cheese soup with no soft pretzel as it used to be for over $5? A small salad for almost $10? This used to be a place we went often. Good food, good value. We will not go back. Complete waste of money. Average tasting, small servings of food at an enormous price tag. We will no longer be dining there.

When I have a friend visit from out of town, he always asks to go here. His favorite dish was the pub in a blanket, which is sadly no longer on the menu. They have good burgers, and I absolutely adore the nacho cocktail appetizer.

The food was pretty good, nothing special. I ordered their peanut butter sundae and half way through I noticed a black hair in it, it was disgusting! The waitress didn't even apologize or suggested to take the sundae off of the bill, she just said she'd make a "new batch". So this "new batch" of the sundae comes and yet again, about half way through, ANOTHER PIECE OF HAIR! I was in shock and extremely annoyed. I called over the waitress and she STILL didn't apologize and said it might have been something in the "cup" that they put the sundae in. I requested to talk to the manager (since she never offered for us to speak to the manager) and he came right away. THANKFULLY he was extremely nice and apologized over and over. We requested he take the sundae off of our bill and he said he most defiantly will. But even better, he came back and said our lunch was on him. He paid for the entire bill! We were so happy and I believe he handled that situation perfectly. Our waitress on the other hand...not such much. After the manager talked to us and was taking care of our check, our waitress passed our table about three different times and didn't even make eye contact with us. How disrespectful! No tip for her! All in all, if it wasn't for how the manager handled the situation, I would have rated Chancery with one star but the manager made up for it. I will most likely be coming back but probably not for a while OR will be ordering that sundae.

I'm getting to be too much of a regular to give them 3 stars. I was there again and tried the all you care to eat peel & shrimp with boiled red potatoes and cranberry coleslaw. The highlight of the evening was their draft pour of Shakes chocolate porter from Boulder, CO. It was truly excellent!

This is a great spot for low key meals at reasonable prices. It's now become one of our go-to spots in tosa. Great all you can eat fish fry. Family friendly place too.

I don't usually like reviewing 'chain restaurants' but I need to suggest eating the lobster mac n cheese if you ever stop by at Chancery. The decor and service is fine. There isn't really much special about the Chancery to me but my experience has always been adequate.

This is one of the places we always go to when visiting Waukesha. THe food and service are good, if not great, and it is resonably priced. The Beer Cheese soup is always good and I enjoyed the "build your own pasta dish".

Had the blackened salmon, it was a small portion, frozen and cooked well done, the vegies were over cooked and un-seasoned the potato's were cooked good but over seasoned. In general nothing to write home about.
