Spicy Hot & Sour Chicken Noodle Soup with Homemade Noodles. Yes, please! Clean, awesome service, yummy food. Went with my husband and 18 month old daughter. They recommended udon noodles for one of the soups saying our daughter would like how chewy they are. They were right. Super kid-friendly vibe. I wanted spicy and the spice was perfect in the spicy hot & sour soup. Spring rolls were de-lish. Almond cookies were the best I've had. Can't wait to go back. I like to have a go-to soup place if one of our family members is sick, so we can all rest rather than cook and make grocery store runs. This is without a doubt our new go-to. Well done!

Visited on a Sunday hoping it wouldn't be crowded. Plenty of parking. Although there were very few in line, counter service was a tad slow, maybe because of the early hour. I only had some of their bakery products. Tasty, but it was a little too oily for me, and I thought a little over-priced for such a modest venue. I will return and try one of their soup dishes with noodles, which is what I'm really after. Update: revisit and had spring rolls, rice with chicken, and noodles and chicken. The spring rolls were smallish and fried which was unexpected. The noodle dish was better than the rice. Prices are a little high, but service was friendly and I liked the feeling of the interior (neat and clean).

Love the food and pastries, glad they are here in Milwaukee. Definitely I'll go back there again.

Chinese (asian?) cuisine in milwaukee is like a jigsaw puzzle, we're missing significant types of pieces(foods) but slowly it is being filled. Fusion cafe fills the missing pieces of: Chinese bakery, Milk Tea, Beef noodle soup, and Rice crepes (breakfast/lunch only). Fusion cafe is not the formal elegant place you go to a few times a year, but like the local diner you might visit several times a month to have a standard meal. For those more used to american-chinese food... you won't find dragon statues, giant stone horses... no over-the-top touristy things... to try to convince you you're in faux-china. The food is delicious, and while not the pinnacle of their craft...fusion cafe's food is better than good, it's good enough. Very legit.

I'm so happy I found you, Fusion Cafe. It's been a rough road. I swore off Chinese American food years ago and only attempted Chinese when in Chicago and NYC. Then I saw you. And you have handmade noodles, delicious flavorful broths, rice porridge and a bakery. A bakery! Bonus points for having a super nice staff. See you soon (and again and again).

Was in the area with my fiancé and went based on reviews from others. Glad we did. We each had a noodle soup w handmade noodles; her chicken & spicy beef for myself. Very hearty portions that were delicious and well prepared. A tasty break from run of the mill Chinese food. Had the bbq pork bun & lotus bun. Topped that off with bubble tea and we're both going home happy and full, with leftovers, knowing we will be back again! Friendly staff too!!

I love the all Chinese bakery goods. You can't find too many places that sell goods like this in Milwaukee. The next closest place would be in Chicago. They are cheap and they taste good.

Fusion Cafe is a good spot. I went with my dad one day and he is by no means an adventurous eater but he loved it too. They have excellent bakery - I have not had the regular dishes but would be interested in trying that out at some point.

I'm not typically one to write reviews but this place is pretty exciting so I had to. Solid authentic Chinese food in an unexpected locale. This is a great addition to the local food scene. Buns are really good, sure I've had better, but I'm not gonna drive two hours to Chicago every week. The spicy beef soup and hand made noodles are awesome! Perfect as the weather cools down. Nothing else like this in the Milwaukee area as far as I know. Closed Monday FYI.

Amazing and authentic bubble tea. Just like what I had in Thailand. And the sesame balls are so fresh and delicious!

I have eaten here multiple times. The food has been consistently delicious. My favorite being the spicy beef shank soup with homemade noodles. The noodles are perfectly inconsistent making their texture very enjoyable. The broth is perfectly flavorful. My only warning is that if you are expecting the beef or even the shank to be just meat you might not like it because it's meat fat and more which might be too much for some. The bakery items are authentic and delicious. BBQ pork buns are great. The red bean buns and moon cake are just right and not to sweet. The egg tarts are very good and are probably the first thing for beginners to try. I was disappointed by the bubble tea. Had the red bean cold. It didn't have much flavor (weak and watered down). Ill be back time and time again.

Found an ad and thought I'd check this place out and Must Come Back!! They had a yummy display of baked goods. I chose my go to which is the Egg Custard Tart and it was served warm with a nice flakey crust indicating fresh and homemade. The other dishes - noodle soup and chow fun. Both were flavorful and done very well. My favorite is their homemade noodles I had in my soup. My 4 y/o and I were battling for the last noodle it was so good!

Amazing surprises! We stopped in on a hangry whim because it was the only place open besides fast food and were soo impressed! Excellent food, great service! Totally our new favorite Asian spot! The bakery was so amazing. The stir fry was also incredible. Such a great value too! For $15 we got a noodle dish to split, three savory buns, and a sweet dessert bun. It was so good we had to force ourselves to stop eating!

Closest thing to home I've found in Wisconsin. Finally a quality Asain restaurant that is consistent and not too far away from home. Great pastries and entrees/soups. I wish they would expand their menu and offer more food choices. It tastes so good! Bubble milk tea to wash it all down. I usually get the Singapore rice noodle. Could use a little more curry, I always have to add siracha because I like it hot. Very friendly owners and staff. Great for everyone. Try a new pastry each time you come!

I would actually like to offer a split review of Fusion: 4 for the bakery and 3 for the regular menu items. I tried 5 different pastries--call me crazy--and each was so sinfully delicious. I particularly enjoyed the BBQ pork bun. It was a sweet bun with smoky pork. My only suggestion is to warm it in the oven (or ask them if dining in) before enjoying it. I know a warm bun would be a perfect bun. The ham and egg bun was also equally delicious, but could have used a warm-up too. There was a lot to pick from, but those were my favorites. I'm certain that you wouldn't go wrong with whatever is on the pastry shelves. I could seriously form an addiction to Chinese bakery. The restaurant is jjjjjjuuuuuusssstttttt far enough away to deter frequent visits. My future visits will be for Fusion's bakery items. Unfortunately, the two meals we ordered were only marginally good. I ordered the curry chicken noodle dish. There was a hint of curry, but they could be more heavy-handed with the spice. If you're ordering curry, it's likely that you're seeking spicy or the intense flavor. The chicken was also very unusual looking. It called to mind the look of chicken skin on a raw piece. The chicken looked like it had gotten into a fight and sustained injuries. I could not bring myself to each much of the chicken, so I focused my attention on the "housemade noodle." They were stuck together, but they were revived with the broth. It was only an 'okay' dish. The price is nice for the food. With 2 entrees, 5 bakery items, and an order of spring rolls, it came to $26. I didn't think that was terrible. I will go back to give 'er another go, but I will pass on chicken items. Note: The chicken did not taste bad; it was quite tasty: however, it was visually off-putting. I'll check out the pork, beef, and crepes the next time I stop in. If you're going to make your way to Fusion, I highly recommend taking 45N/S and getting off at the Greenfield Avenue exit. You will end up in front of the restaurant. Otherwise, you will have to turn early, meander through a mini business park, turn on to Greenfield to head east, and THEN turn right to get back on to HWY 100. Make it easy AND get yourself some buns!!!!!

Quite good. The udon noodle bowl I ordered was quite good, but just a bit overpriced. The various types of buns here, however, are quite good. I will definitely be back for lunch or snacks, just not for dinner.

This place was unexpectedly amazing. Loved the singapore noodles (such deep flavors!) and their hot/sour soup. Their crab rangoons tasted very fresh and not frozen. Please keep up the quality, I will definitely be making a return trip!

I LOVE this restaurant!!!! Their food is so good!!! I am always craving for Chinese food and don't wanna drive to Chicago. This restaurant just solves everything. I ordered the spicy beef noodles last time I was there, soooo good. I can literally have that every day! Really authentic Chinese flavor. I also tried their bakery, it's also good. I am so glad there is a real Chinese food restaurant here in Milwaukee.

The go to place noodle soups in the MKE area. Excellent hand made noodles. Great asian bake case to boot with 50% off pastries after 7pm. 2 people can eat great for about $20. Friendly staff.

Soups are FABULOUS! And Huge portions. Try the duck. Careful, pastries are gone quickly and may not be available for dessert at dinner. We will be back.

YES YES YES. We stopped by here because it was new and we were NOT disappointed. Their bubble tea and fresh fruit slushies are amazing! We also had the spring rolls which tasted fresh also! That was the only vegetarian option they had, but yum! Clean, relaxed atmosphere and yummy. Our new to-go spot for refreshing drinks and spring rolls!

The best hot and spicy beef noodle soup in town...can't wait to go back to try other dishes. Got a few buns- Chinese bakery too..I enjoyed all of them..so happy to find a Chinese restaurant with the Asian bakery..Taro bubble tea was great too.

Why are they called Fusion Cafe? Makes me think this would be an Americanized Asian fusion restaurant. Wasn't expecting an authentic Chinese Bakery!!! Really great soup. The Bakery items are very nice too. Will be a regular! Just wish they would do a moon cake with salted duck egg!

Was going to dine in, but the extremely loud banging of hammers caused me to get take out. No idea why they would be installing a counter during business hours. They should do construction when they are not open and when there are no customers trying to eat, not at 12pm Friday afternoon. Especially because I had my baby sleeping in her stroller and that there was no notice that there would be any sort of construction. Their bakery is pretty decent and fresh. The food is ok, but this kind of disregard for customers trying to have a pleasant experience is inexcusable. After I got home I then realized they didn't put my egg tart in the box! Another fail!!!

They got there s**t together finally and have menus now and the Singapore noodles are a fav of mine so I went for it. It was as good as any good place for this dish. The menu has appeal with the soup offerings and I have to try them. After a rocky start and not knowing what this place is I liked my meal. I still don't know what identity they are because it's asian food, bakery, ice cream, smoothie, and what ever else. I posted the menu which is small but tempting and interesting. They were very nice In helping me. Ox tail noodle soup is calling me. There is potential here but will people come. Once again the Singapore noodles was excellent and after my first visit I'm glad I went back and to be honest I just wanted some menu pix to put out there but when I saw Singapore noodles I wasn't leaving with out them. I really can't wait to go back because it was so good. They jumped ahead too far in the opening and were not prepared which was not good but I think they can redeem them self. I'm very honest in my reviews and the first was not good at all but I'm glad they delivered this time. I would and will be back for sure, everyone needs a second chance and they delivered. This is the cutting slack on reviews that is needed some times. They looked at me taking all the pictures and never said a thing, some one comes in and just starts taking pictures of everything and let me be just to share with you all. I waited two years at least for the open light to glow and it was worth it.

Absolutely love that there's a Chinese bakery in MKE. No more bringing home a few dozen from Chinatown, I just have to come here whenever I want some. It's just as as good, too!!! BBQ Pork Buns (cha siu bao), Coconut Cocktail Buns, chive and ham buns, and custard tarts...all yummy! Best wishes to Fusion Cafe!

  • Jeff C.

I eat here several times per week...typically for dinner on weekdays or lunch on weekends. The food is always amazing, service is excellent, and prices are very reasonable. Most of the bakery items are around a buck each so you can easily grab a variety of unique treats to share with your co-workers back at the office. I also like the milk tea with tapioca balls and the fat straw to slurp them up. When I drink it, it reminds me of my many trips to Hong Kong and particularly the Mong Kok district (home of the famous Ladies' Market) where I always hit up the Bubble Tea stands. If you're looking for great tasting cheap eats, there are many things on the menu...my favorite is Congee with white fish.

Very conveniently off of Highway 100. Can't miss it. I was there towards the latter part of the lunch hour. No waiting for carry out. Restaurant was clean, cool, without that cloying smell that you sometimes have in older Chinese restaurants. Cashier was quick to clean up a table that had just left. Food awesome. Large portions. I even added some pastries to the order. I bought them for my husband but could not wait to taste it. You usually have to go to China town in Chicago to get such fresh and delicious food. Will be coming with family for a dinner out soon.

Good asian fusion with yummy singapore fried rice noodle! They also bake asian style cakes and buns, not too sweet and super soft! Pity that they did not have many bakery options today:( PS:they also have bubble tea and slush including delicious Avocado slush, a must try!

  • Mayta L.

Ordered the chicken curry rice...tasted horrible as it was flavorless. The curry sauce was also very runny like it was watered down. The chicken also tasted weird...and the veggies definitely tasted like they were straight from the can and were not even cooked with the dish (prob why it tasted like it was watered down - extra juice from the canned bamboo??). Anyway would NOT recommend this dish. Maybe the noodle dishes are better (based on other reviews)...but was not craving for noodles at the time. Prob won't ever find out if they're good or worth coming here for, as I will likely not return and am not in the area. Service was okay though and place was clean.

I am so glad they are here. And by here I mean not downtown, which means I can come here alllllll I want and I might as well. Their food and bubble tea are delicious. I ordered the spicy beef noodle soup with handmade noodles. Man, those noodles are deliciously perfect. Not too thick, not too thin, good texture. Piping hot bowl of spicy yumminess that will make you sweat - in a good way. The bubble tea was also surprisingly good. I got the regular milk tea and I was happy to see that it wasn't overpowered by sugar and milk/cream. You could really taste the tea and there were a good amount of tapioca pearls. My friend also really liked the taro slush. My other companions also enjoyed their meals (I forgot the names of their dishes but I added a picture of them). And then there's the bakery case. Lots of goodies even though the selection isn't super abundant, which is fine by me because I take it as a sign of quality over quantity. Their coconut bun is awesome! Note - they have a pretty strict "no credit cards for under $10" rule. If you want to buy a couple pastries for $3ish bucks, they'll make you buy $10 worth before letting you use your card. Not sure how legal this is - I was just thinking they'd charge me an extra 50 cent convenience fee but yeah. Bring cash if you plan on spending less than $10. Anyways, I'm looking forward to coming back for their bubble tea and try out some other dishes!

My coworker had suggested Fusion Café and I was originally kind of hesitant because I didn't know what the food would be like and I'm kind of picky when it comes to Asian (well particularly Chinese) food. But honestly I was pleasantly surprised by Fusion Café. Right when you walk in, there is bakeries on display - You don't know how excited I was to see that. I haven't been able to find a place that sells bakeries like that without having to go to Chicago's Chinatown so I definitely got some to go. I honestly did hug the bakery case...ha! I ordered the Beef Stew Noodle Soup with hand made noodles and it was very good. I wasn't expecting it to come in such a big bowl and there was definitely more than enough for one person. I wish it had more pieces of beef instead a lot of tendons/fat but that's a matter of personal preference. The staff were friendly and very helpful. I will definitely be back.

As far as I know, this is the only place in Milwaukee that sells traditional Chinese beef noodle soup and probably the only place that sells assorted Chinese baked goods as well (bbq pork buns, pineapple buns, moon cakes etc.) Unlike most of the other Chinese take out places in the area, Fusion cafe does not seem to sell your typical Americanized Chinese food like Orange chicken, sweet and sour pork, crab rangoons. This is totally fine by me because I came here for the beef noodle soup with handmade noodles. For $9 you get a generous bowl of soup. The handmade noodles are awesome, they are perfectly imperfect and provide great variance in texture and mouth feel for the dish as a whole. There were a generous amount of beef chunks, which were a mix of meat, fat, and tendon. The meat was tender and not chewy at all, but there did seem to be quite a bit of fat and tendon, which weren't my favorite. The broth itself was hearty, a good amount of salty, and delicious overall without adding a single extra thing. I wish the dish had more bok choy in it though. The buns were not too shabby as well and plus they are half off after 6 pm! This will definitely be my go to place in the winter months when I'm craving a hot bowl of beef noodle soup.

This place transports me back to Hong Kong! Very authentic dishes! My husband loves the Singapore noodles and I love the Spicy/Hot and Sour chicken soup with their homemade noodles (these noodles are AMAZING). We tried a beef soup and the meat had too much fat for my liking, I should have known better because it was made in the authentic style - so I'll just stick to the chicken. We have yet to try the stir fry dishes, but every time we walk by a table with them they look delicious (and again authentic). There is also a bakery with delicious savory and sweet Chinese treats. I'm no connoisseur in this area, but everything we've tried is similar to treats in the bakeries we tested in HK. I wish they had a little more variety in their bakery (just because we can't do a lot of of the savory buns because of the pork). I'd love to see more taro and other fruit (ie mango) treats! They do offer a really yummy fruit cake that's light and totally worth checking out.

I'm just not a big fan of Fusion Cafe. On our first visit we arrived at 7:40pm on a Friday night, not even thinking twice about the time. We were surprised that they were closing at 8pm. We were told we could not eat in, we could only order take out. I ordered a noodle dish- the beef chow fun. The bf ordered the beef noodle soup. Both dishes were mediocre. He was wishing he had just got pho and I was wishing I had just ordered Thai. I also attempted to order bubble tea when I was there but there were out of tapioca. When bubble tea is a big thing you advertise, you really shouldn't be out of tapioca pearls. On my second visit I stopped in to try that bubble tea. I ordered a taro bubble tea and yes, this time they did have tapioca in stock. However their bubble tea was one of the least enjoyable I've ever had. The tea was iced and liquidy instead of smoothie like. And it was definitely lacking flavor and watered down. After two less than mediocre visits, I doubt I'll be back.

Well... Crepes and porridge is only available until 3:00, so shared the Rangoons. My soup is very spicy and heady with a Hoisin flavor of five spice, cinnamon and star anise. Lots of red chili flakes. The beef is more "parts is parts", which I did not expect. But, luckily I like the funky chunks There could be more meat and scallions and/or cilantro to brighten things up. Allen enjoyed his. Not taking my leftovers. Gonna buy a few savory pastries like the ones that Mitsuwa for tomorrow. Lips on fire.

I really like this pkace. It was a happy surprise since I almost never come to West Allis. The spring rolls are very good. They have ginger in them which adds a different but very enjoyable twist. I also had the Singapore Rice noodles because it was recommended on yelp. I made the right choice! The noodles have just enough spice to enhance the flavors of the curry, with plenty of shrimp, BBQ pork, and veggies. And you get a huge serving- a good value! There are also over 20 noodle soups and a large assortment of breads and pastries that I think I will try on my next visit. Overall I definitely recommend Fusion Cafe and encourage you to try something different from what u usually order when you get Chinese food! Also they serve the food on glass plates and give you chop sticks to use.

The only bad thing I have to say about this place is the fact that I live too close! The food is made fresh and it is delicious. The portions are huge and easy to share. Had the stir fried noodles and a BBQ pork rice dish. The soups look huge and seem to be the most popular. Definitely recommend this place!

Well done!

Very legit.

The go to place noodle soups in the MKE area. Excellent hand made noodles. Great asian bake case to boot with 50% off pastries after 7pm. 2 people can eat great for about $20. Friendly staff.
