The ribs are the best! You have got to save room for home made desserts.

Great Friday night fish fry, home cooked meals, a nice little salad bar, home made pies, full bar.

While staying locally at Brule River Classics (awesome, BTW), we stopped in for breakfast. Our server (Sherry?) was so great, it wouldn't have mattered how the good tasted. Fortunately, we were both more than happy with the food, too. I had the Cinnamon Roll French Toast and my husband had the Corned Beef Hash with a fried egg. Both great. We liked it here so much that we came back after dinner somewhere else to have dessert - coconut cream pie and red velvet cake. The desserts and two servers in the evening were great, too. Overall very positive experience.

Our family of four stopped in after kayaking the Brule River (a MUST if you enjoy some rapids in the beautiful North Woods) and we were hoping for some basic cafe food. We were SO impressed with the quality of food and service I just had to write a review. We had onion rings for an appetizer and even my son who says he doesn't like onions was scarfing them down! My husband and son had the ribs and I stole a taste - a dangerous thing to do given how much they were enjoying them - fabulous BBQ sauce! My daughter enjoyed a burger and fries and I had the grilled chicken ceasar wrap - YUM! Anyway - VERY worth the trip over if you are in Hayward or the Duluth/Superior area. Great food. Great service. And a beautiful area.

Very nice menu. Food was fresh and service friendly and quick. Just what I was hoping for when I stopped here - we'll be back!
